Today's Blind Items
This B- list television actor is one of the leads on a big hit network drama. One of those police type shows. Our actor has not shown up on set for almost two weeks. It isn't about contracts or anything like that. Nope. It is because he is on the drug bender to end all benders and won't stop using. Producers are getting worried because they need him on set and functioning soon or they are going to have some huge story gaps that will need explaining.

ReplyDeleteBTW, I didn't know Eddie Cibrian was becoming a CSI:Miami regular. There's one more reason not to watch it.

Karmen, I know I wanna be right and all, but Simon Baker isn't one of the leads -- he is THE lead -- on The Mentalist.
ReplyDeleteI did some coke mom investigating. Back in April Enty said that she was NOT in the pictures posted over the week prior to that specific post. Tori Spelling, Jennie Garth, Courteney Cox were all in the posts that week prior, so none of them can be coke mom. Then, earlier this month, he said that coke mom was posted the week prior to the post where he said that. Debra Messing was in the posts. She is the only one of the major guesses that didn't appear when he said coke mom didn't appear, and did appear when he said coke mom did appear. That's my two cents!

I don't know if I'd call Southland a hit network drama, but it's definitely a police-type show, and Ben McKenzie (the guy from the OC, I think that's his name) is probably B- list.

ReplyDeleteMy first thought was Tom Everett Scott from Southland, but I think he was killed off at the end of last season. Other than that, I'm drawing a blank.

Wasn't there a blind about a foreign-born actor at fashion week that no one would sit next to because he was on a massive bender? Could this be the same guy?
ReplyDeleteWhat about Vincent D'Onofrio from Law & Order Criminal Intent, I know a story was released earlier this week that stated he may not return to Law & Order next season, and I know he has a past problem with drugs/mental illness. Now would be the time to start "cast MAY be leaving" rumors if he's on a drug bender and they may need to explain some gaps in story line.

ReplyDeleteL&O Criminal Intent is on hiatus. I read over the weekend that they're going to revamp the show around Jeff Goldblum since it's now a USA show and Monk is ending. They are releasing Vincent D'onfrio and Kathyrn Erbe and Julianne Nicholson already left last season.
One of the guys from Cold Case? I think Karmen is onto something with this being referred to as a police vs. initial show.

His slouchy shambling walk, his goofy faces, his excitability -- there is something really seductive about him. I hope he's ok, whatever's going on with him. (Ok, you can have him. I'll go back to Shemar.)

ReplyDeleteI'm not sure he is B list, but what about the guy who plays Rigsby on The Mentalist? He has lost a ton of weight between seasons. Even my hubby (the guy who would think a corpse was just sleeping) thinks he is on something. And if you want to compare it to previous blinds, he is foreign born (Welsh) and married into a famous family (his wife is on the Office).

ReplyDeleteI never have understood her being put up as a "fashion" person either - her fashion doesn't seem terribly interesting. She should get some perspective. I like her as an actress, but keep the ego in check.

ReplyDeleteI wouldn't be surprised if it's D'Onofrio. :( I think he had to be the answer to the blind about the show that went on hiatus while the star was in rehab. I still love him, though, and hope that if it's him he can get clean.
Isn't Caruso already a former addict? Wouldn't be shocking if it was him.

Tinselsass - if enty gets reamed by Natalie Portman's publicist for saying unkind things about her, I can only imagine the ramifications of revealing Coke Mom's identity. This isn't some frivolous BI about an actress being a diva or whatever (as much as I love those). This BI shows she abuses illegal drugs and puts her child at risk. Big accusations. As much as I want Enty to reveal Coke Mom, I realize why he hasn't.

ReplyDeleteAs far as coke mom goes I figure Ent probably can't get sued for slanderous comments if the story is in fact true. The best defense against slander is the truth, so what is the problem with revealing it? Maybe he is waiting for a juicy reveal, or maybe it isn't true. Who knows.

ReplyDeleteAs far as being a hit: CBS placed first in viewers and adults 18-49 (tie) on the first Wednesday of the new season led by the season premieres of CRIMINAL MINDS and CSI: NY, according to Nielsen preliminary ratings for Sept. 23.
At 9PM, CRIMINAL MINDS (P) was first in households (9.4/15), viewers (15.42m), adults 25-54 (5.4/13) and second in adults 18-49 (4.2/11, -0.1 behind ABC).CRIMINAL MINDS is the night's #1 program in viewers and adults 25-54. -CBS
That being said, I don't believe the blind could be about VDO. He's basically off the show, which is in hiatus anyway. Is Southland being considered a hit? Could be someone on there.

ReplyDeleteIt's a hit police-type show, or at least it keeps getting renewed ;-) Two leads, David Krumholtz and Rob Morrow.
While the Coke Mom story might be true, Enty might have a difficult time proving so. Should Coke Mom decide to sue, the person who told him the story - a good source - could find himself or herself publicly exposed on the witness stand. Uncomfortable for all involved.
