Today's Blind Items - Easy

This past weekend this C list cable reality star who had his own show spoke at an event addressing tattoos, taboos and Jews but he did talk a bit about his TV show a bit as well. As an admittedly non-practicing Jew he was asked if he had any Jewish tattoos. His reply? “I have a dollar sign on my hand.” Some in the audience laughed, most did not. Know your audience dude. He recognized how reality TV had changed his life financially for the better and that it opened many doors for him, but he also spent considerable time complaining about the show. He did not enjoy it and never wanted to do subsequent season(s) but was tied to obligations in his contract. He complained about how the producers wanted to make each episode about death. He felt less like an artist and more like he was playing psychiatrist to the customers. He seemed very bitter about the experience.

Not that easy. I have no clue about a Jewish reality star for multiple seasons.

  7. Yeah, I was thinking that Ami guy from Miami Ink.

  8. Wouldn't the obvious answer be Gene Simmons? But I'm not sure the show made that much of a difference financially, as I thought he was always pretty well off.

this is the Miami ink guy

  11. I'm on the Ari/Miami Ink bandwagon. If you've seen the show, half the people getting tattoos are getting ones to memorialize dead loved ones. It can be pretty depressing.

  12. Jon Gosselin is not Jewish--he is toying with the idea of conversion

  13. I don't think Gene Simmons has any tattoos. I could be wrong. But his reality show was never about death but if you watch Miami Ink or L.A. Ink, it seems like 90% of the tattoos are "memorials" to someone who died.

  20. Read the blind item!! It says "playing psychiatrist to the customers". Since when does Gene Simmons cater to customers?

  21. I agree w/ Ami votes. The whole damn show is about memorials. No disrespect, but it's depressing for sure. Would be a real downer as a tat artist to only have that part shown. One can only do 'sombre' for so long.

  22. JESSE JAMES has a dollar sign tattoo on his hand. he also had his own reality show... not sure if I would consider him an artist though...

  23. Jesse IS an artist, but I don't think he fits the whole "death & customers" clue. Although he does "sombre" remarkably well.

  24. Sorry, but Enty, why is this blind? He was speaking at a public event.

  25. If you've ever seen one of Jesse James bikes they most certainly are art. It's got to be a tattoo artist by the clues, the artist part and saying he felt like a psychiatrist meant he spent a lot of time with the people he worked on and had to listen to their problems otherwise the show would be boring with him inking and the person just lying there.

I am going with the miami ink too. The death clue I think refers to those memorial tattoos and the stories behind them.

  32. Interesting that Ami would make an unthinking or insensitive comment like that, considering this (yes, even if the inscription was a forgery.)
