Today's Blind Items - Jackass
This A list photographer and sometime director was at a screening of Paranormal Activity. Don't tell me what happens because I am seeing it next week. Anyway, our photographer was at the movies with an entourage and was extremely loud and annoying throughout the entire movie. At one point he screamed out, "Wait, is this Blair Witch?" Throughout the movie he would also yell to his entourage and ask if they needed anything or to go get him something. People in the audience tried to get him to be quiet but he just wouldn't shut up. Eventually many members of the audience walked out. Thankfully the manager gave them all their money back and a free ticket to another movie. Nothing was done however about the photographer.

ReplyDeleteOh, Enty, I don't know what happens,however, I can tell you this: I asked my friend if it was worth seeing, and he said it didn't live up to the hype and he was very disappointed. You may not want to waste your money.

It's online if you know where to look, the original version anyway, same thing really, only diff is the ending and you can check out the alternate ending on youtube. Gotta love the internet.

ReplyDeleteDK about the blind, don't really care, but I LOVED Paranormal Activity. Especially when you look at it from a filmmaker's perspective, it's BRILLIANT. Great marketing scheme as well.

nunaurbiz, that's good to know. I'm always scared the most by movies where you don't see the thing you're afraid of. The first half of Phantoms (Affleck shoutout!) was one of the best horror movies I've ever seen. Too bad the second half was such sh*t.

ReplyDeleteas for Paranormal Activity, it's good shit. i watched it at home in bed and then couldn't get to sleep for over an hour. my significant other and i had to talk each other down...lol
def creepier watching at home in that kind of setting cuz then all the weird noises coming from your own house add to the atmosphere.
i watched it over a week ago and still think about it just before going to sleep. god i'm a pussy.
I didn't think it was scary. I did think it was creepy at times. I do definitely think it's worth the money to see it. It's a fascinating study in film making and I was never bored, which is saying something for a $15000 budget when multi-million dollar Hollywood movies have made me snore.

when i was a kid my friend had a poster of micheal jackson that used to creep me out to no end when i'd sleep over. the eyes would move wherever you went in the room, lol. never did sleep much while there....

ReplyDeleteI also loved Paranormal Activity, and found it plenty scary. All horror movies are silly--even the very best--if you come in with a superior "this won't scare me" attitude. In which case you've wasted your own money. If you go to have fun and get scared, this movie will definitely scare you.

ReplyDeleteNo idea who this could be, as I know nothing about photographers, A-list or otherwise, but shit like this is why I refuse to go to the movies. Why spend $10 or whatever it costs now to be in a theater full of obnoxious assholes who have no courtesy or respect for others? I'd rather download it and watch it at home...saves me money and keeps me from starting a fight!
ReplyDeleteAmen, amanda rae! I have become a nasty bitch when having to deal with ignorant, classless people who think the movie theater is their own private living room. Worse than spending $10 on a movie ticket, though, is spending $100 on a theater ticket and having the little pre-teen chicky behind me doing the "up-down-up-down" thing with her soda straw at the quietest, most intense emotional moment of the production. I am always amazed when people don't control their children (or themselves).
