Jon Gosselin & Hailey Glassman On Entertainment Tonight

I have decided that the new reality television isn't actually the shows themselves. Now the real reality television are these interviews on television. They are like the teasers that get you to watch the next episode or that keep you relevant while in hiatus. If you plan them out right you can get viewers to watch and then the shows invite you back and you get paid more and they get paid more from their advertisers. Often because it is a reduced amount of time you get more action in three minutes or five minutes then you would in several hours of regular reality television.

In case you didn't see last night's interview with Jon Gosselin and Hailey Glassman, this is a classic example of what I am referring to.

  1. I have a couple of comments about this video:

    1. Mary Hart looks BEAT!
    2. So...this is just Jon and Kate V2.0?
    3. Moral compass?!?!!!!
    4. 22? hahaha! More like 32.
    5. Is this a joke? Is this a break up or an interview. I feel like I lost about 15 brain cells watching this.

  2. Damn my not having sound at work! Can someone give me a quick summary of the gist of the video?
All I can tell is that Sue Ellen is right - Mary Hart looks BEAT

  3. My sound didn't work when anyone was talking except Mary, who looks like warmed over dog crap.

  4. Basically the gist is that Jon talks about what he's got to do to make it "right", that's where the moral compass comes in. Hailey says things she's said before about him being abusive to her, crying and whatnot. Hailey says that Jon has to do what's right, and then he says that Hailey's got to make a decision about staying together or not. I gave up about 4 minutes in b/c it was boring and I just kept picturing her plant face plant. They should have just shown that pic in .gif form for 6 minutes instead.

  5. I never watch Entertainment Tonight if has anything about him on the program. Or at least I change the channel during his segment. I mean, he's not even interesting! Can we drop this now? Extra long, eye-watering, earth-shaking yaaaaawwwwwwwwnnnnnn!

  6. Ugh, I couldn't get more than halfway through. Poor Mary Hart- she looks TORE UP FROM THE FLOOR UP. Damn.
As for Jon and Hailey and Kate- WHY are they news, again? This is so stupid. And Jon talking about starting all over again, moral compass, blah blah blah, the hemming and hawing about Jon and Hailey breaking up or not.....I don't know how much more of this I can take. It' pisses me off enough to be having this shit shoved in front of my eyeballs that I feel compelled to bitch about it. I feel conflicted in commenting, however, because these assholes should NOT be considered news. Argh- I need to put on the J + K+ H= FUCKERY blinders.

  8. Can someone please fill me in.. exactly when did ET become so "Hills" like?

When did they jump the shark and become a prop for a scripted hot mess?

  9. I hadn't watched ET in a long time before seeing the Chaz Bono thing, but I agree, Mary Hart looks beat!

  10. Thanks Sue Ellen - and you made me giggle again remembering that faceplant. We should lobby for them to always replace any video/picture of her with that picture ONLY.

  11. Well, Mary Hart has the same under-eye puffiness that I have, and I'm only 45...so kudos to her for looking pretty damn good for her age. Also, for not having her cheeks/jowls area lifted by now and not looking like a wax model.

We MUST begin accepting and appreciating our age as women!

And on the puffiness subject, at least Jon looks more well-rested than he has in a long time. Cut out the booze dude, and you will look, feel and think much better.

  12. But McDooks did just crack me the hell UP!

Today my day calls for some serious laughery.

  13. Mary Hart probably looks that beat b/c of the mickey strapped to her leg, not b/c she is whatever age she is.

  14. I think before making comments, those commenting, need to watch the video in its ENTIRETY.

That said, RocketQueen, you need to watch this for yourself later as it really is inexplicable. None of them (Mary, Jon & Haley) seem to be on the same page, but Jon and Haley's relationship appears to devolve on camera to a breakup as we watch.

  15. Yeah, Mary says she feels like a couples counsellor. I think Mary looks just fine and age appropriate.

    He looks like a cat.

Oh God, there's going to be a part Deux.

  18. I hate to say it but Hailey cracked me up bagging on that douchebag, "He says he's going to stop lying and I roll my eyes like everyone else does!" Sadly, she has more common sense than he does. She's 22. What's his excuse?

  21. LOOOOVE how he says,

"Maybe she *wants* to go get a job..."

ROTFLMAO! Trying to sucker another woman into supporting your lazy, theiving, no-job-having ass, Jon?
