Today's blind is actually not one of my own, but it came from Post Secret and ever since a reader mailed it to me, I have been thinking about it. There are not very many clues, but if they are accurate, it shouldn't be that hard to guess.

Yesterday, there was a follow-up postcard sent that said:

Wow, Hey There!! Good research! The weird thing is that even before I read HeyThere's list, David Duchovny popped into my head out of nowhere, and I didn't have any clue how old their children are. It's double weird, because I'm a fan even with all his recent behavior. However, I'm always a little suspicious anyone who goes to a rehab setting for sex addiction. I always figure that's just the PR cover for something much more damning, like say having rage/abuse issues. There's not much that is considered bad publicity anymore, but beating women and children is still taboo - thank God!

ReplyDeletePeople mail 4X6 postcards with their secrets on them and they get published anonymously on the website. Sometimes they are funny, but I find a lot of them to be very sad.
The second postcard was published yesterday and it was mentioned on the site that it was a follow-up to the first which was sent last week.
That being said, I can't figure it out. I think the second postcard would imply the abuser is a man and that the mom needs help leaving, but who knows. The abuser could be a celebrity, a politician, an athlete ... anybody. Maybe Ent can give us clues to who he thinks it is...

ReplyDeleteI wrote to Enty that my initial guess was Alex Baldwin. He obviously has a temper and had that episode when he called his daughter Ireland a pig on her voicemail. She was 11 at the time. This secret does not say the child in question is currently 10 years old. It could mean the child is 10 now but wasn't when it happened, is 10 now and the incident happened recently, etc.
There's also no way of knowing if it's an actor, musician, politician, athlete, model, reality show person, news personality, etc. Biggest of all, there's no way of knowing if it's even real -- but I would venture to guess it is.

I don't think the choice of postcard points necessarily to a woman; those are the generic ready-stamped postcards that the post office is currently selling.

I was thinking Alec Baldwin too!! Though Rosie does have a temper I doubt that its her. As much as I would love for this to be Palin, I think the dirt Levi has on her is of a sexual nature.
ReplyDeleteThe daughter has to be at least 10 now. I suspect that the child in question is older, and that the sender probably waited quite a while before sending it. It was probably something that was simmering for some time. I wouldn't be surprised if the incident took place years ago.

ReplyDeleteOn the Levi topic,I have a friend who lives near Sarah Palin and they have mutual friends/aquantances. She told me when SP first came into the headlines that her daughter was pregnant, before it was announced through the media, and that they were going to hide it. Also she said Bristol got pg on purpose. I believe Levi when he says he has lots of dirt on her. But I still think he's a loser.
I thought Rosie based on above but I think the birthdate for Vivienne has the wrong year. I think it was 2002.

ReplyDeleteWow, it is interesting to see some bad rumors become fact. Rosie and Kelli split two years ago as she said on her show last week. The kids are not split up, all 4 are togther as she has stated on her blog several times in response to readers. I am not saying this isn't her, just that several seem to have the facts wrong.

I guess I'll be a buzzkill too. Autographs are a dime a dozen. People want signatures from damn near everyone. Sure, it could be a major celebrity, but chances are it's someone the majority of us have never heard of, like the 5pm anchor from the ABC affiliate in Tampa, or a minor league baseball player in the Midwest.

Their daughter Dylan is 18 now (born 1991), and he doesn't exactly have the best reputation, to put it mildly. He would already have been an Oscar nominee by 2001 (not to mention tabloid fodder since his marriage to Madonna), so he was certainly well-known enough to be approached by fans...thoughts?
ReplyDeleteI don't know. I think the follow up postcard indicates the original postcard came from someone who is currently with the hitter, and that the daughter is 10 now. That the follow up came from a third party in the situation, who mailed it after seeing the original one.

A long time ago there was another sort of blind on there too. It was a postcard with lots of pictures of male A and B list celebrities on and it it said something like 'one of these men is the father and he pays me a LOT to keep it quiet.'
I always wondered about that one..

ReplyDeleteWhen I first read the blind I took it as someone nonfamous whose child was hit by car by a famous person. But now I can see it as a wife/husband of a famous person who hit their own child. The blind is way too vague to even begin to guess who it is. Thanks HeyThere for compiling a list of possibilities. I don't think this is about Rosie, and I don't believe she abuses her kids. There's no way Kelli would have moved out two years ago without the kids if Rosie was abusing them, come on! (Yes, ALL four kids are living with Rosie, Kelli did not take Vivi with her.)
ReplyDeleteAlso, Kelli had her own money when she met Rosie (she's a trust fund baby and she was an executive at Nickelodeon) and she still has her own money, so it's not like she left the kids behind because she couldn't afford to take care of them. If they were being abused she would have done everything to protect her children, she has all the resources to do so.
Sorry, I said "she left the kids behind" referring to Kelli, and that was a poor choice of words. Kelli didn't leave the kids behind, she is still actively parenting them, she didn't abandon her children. She moved out of the family home, but she didn't stop being their mom and loving them, etc.

Is the daughter hit part of the "we all stood there" and did she have any marks on her or is she in the hospital or was she hit by a car? Is there a morning outing photograph of a famous person with their family? I am reading way too much into this but if this an ongoing abuse problem the woman or man needs to get the kids out and go!
I keep thinking Kate B for this, if a woman, otherwise I am at a total loss.

But sadly I do suspect Kim Basinger left him for being abusive to her. So he is still a tool. But just not this tool.
