Roman Polanski Continues To Be A Jerk

Roman Polanski is suing three French magazines. Why? Because they had the nerve to publish photos of him at his chalet in Switzerland while he is under house arrest. The bastard is actually suing them for that? He says it invaded his privacy. I don't give a f**k. You should be in jail anyway and not sitting in your chalet with servants and editing your movie and making money. I think they should take pictures of him everyday so people know he certainly isn't suffering or feeling remorseful. If you look at the picture above it looks like quite the media contingent outside his chalet. Granted I am sure the crowd has gone down in size since the first day, but to sue newspapers because they published photos of you? If you didn't want pictures published of you then stay in jail where you belong. I hate him. I really, really do.

  1. Enty darling, how do you really feel?
I agree, it's just another example of 'Industry' being more important than the person.

  4. I wonder if he'll call all of those petition drivers as witnesses? Christ, I hope so.

  5. He really shouldn't alienate the press right now. And yes, I hate him too.

  6. How can I get on that jury? You can award damages to the defendant, right?

  7. Amen, Enty. You read my mind.

  8. Waaaaaaaaah fucking waaaaaaaaah.
You're going to be paparazzi free in a little while, Roman.
Better take advantage of this while you can - your soon to be new boyfriend Bubba won't be taking any pictures.

  9. Why have a chalet if your property line is 2 meters from your windows?

  10. Well, he didn't respect the privacy of a 13 year old child, I'd say his is fair game.

  11. Thank you Enty for keeping this pig in the headlines. People who have been brave enough to disagree with his supporters have really turned the tide of the public having any empathy for him. He is despicable.

Unfortunately, there was a civil settlement reached between Polanski and his victim...but he hasn't paid it yet.

  12. I think the legal aspects of the case are far more interesting than him suing paps in France which has much tighter laws against personal invasion of privacy. It's the 3 court panel in CA that wants this case settled and has advised both sides on how to achieve this, there will be no time served if the attorney's agree and move forward, mostly due to the prosecutor misconduct in the 1st case and the loon judge.

Polanski is only marking time until he goes home in a few weeks.

  13. I would love to see him in the general population of a California prison for a nice, long time (if he survived a year, I'd be surprised).

  14. Ditto what everyone has written. No idea of the laws in FR but doubt it would extend to getting images of them once outside their home.

  15. I hate him too, Enty. If I could personally hang pedophiles by their balls until they rip off, I would.

  16. I don't hate Polanski. He had the right to sue the magazines. You might not give an f, Enty et al., but in France and many other European countries the concept of privacy isn't an abstraction. Neither is the concept of fair, unbiased trial, and yes, that would include the recent ruling in Perugia.

I hope Polanski will soon be a free man again, and I want it for at least two reasons:

    a) the media will find a new moral panic to blab about, and the whole circus will be almost hilarious in its predictability;

    b) the pro-Polanski verdict will put an end to all those rape and revenge fantasies so many God-loving, law-abiding citizens seem to cherish here and elsewhere.

    Merry Christmas.

  18. I don't hate Polanski. I despise him and boycott his work.

A fair, unbiased trial in Perugia? Amanda Knox is guilty only of being young and self-absorbed and in love with an equally jerky boyfriend. It was clearly Rudy Guede who murdered Meredith Kercher (and then went and took a crap in her bathroom after raping and murdering her).

  19. Shouldn't his cell mate be Phil Spector?!??!?!?!?!

  20. Am indifferent. I think he was a rapist in a time when such a heinous act against a young girl was just considered creepy. That said, he's probably been creepy towards other young girls and I wish he'd been made a lesson of earlier. So, he will suffer and is suffering even if he doesn't serve jail time. I think there is natural justice at work in his situation.
On another note, that doesn't look like much of a chalet to me. Not what I had imagined.
