Susan Sarandon Dating 31 Year Old Ping Pong Player

Gawker has an interesting post today about how the 63 year old Susan Sarandon is dating 31 year old ping pong dude Jonathon Bricklin. Jonathon also happens to be the son of the founder of Subaru of America so the son can probably indulge his ping pong fantasies. Bricklin is also a filmmaker and made a movie about his dad. Most of the time though he plays ping pong in his ping pong club Spin. Hey, guess what? Susan was one of the original investors in Spin. Well, hey, if she is happy then be happy. It is the holidays. I want everyone to be happy. Hopefully Tim is happy.

  1. I don't mind age differences but when you're in your sixties and your lover is in his dirties hmm...it's just a bit creepy to me but that's just me.

  3. Wow, is the movie for this one going to be called Bull S***?

  4. Aww she traded her 51 year old in for a younger model.

Too sad that Susan and Tim didn't make it.

  5. First, Merry Christmas everybody (here in Australia Santa has been).
Secondly, she broke up with Tim Robbins for this guy??? Can we get a better photo, because in a purely shallow comment, Tim kicks his butt. On a deeper level, Tim kicks his butt. Whether I agree with everything Tim Robbins believes in, at least he has passion, commitment and talent. WTH???

  6. what does a 63 year old woman find to talk about with a 31 year old guy? or can i assume there's very little talking going on?

  7. jesus! that's like dumping Ryan Gosling for Breckin Myer.

  8. Men do it all the time. Why the hell not??? When I'm 80 I plan on dating 19 year old guys.

Watched Alfie the other day. Jude asks Susan, "What's he got that I don't?" He's younger.

  10. I KNEW IT! Everybody on every site assumed Tim had cheated.
The real question is, when did she invest this money? Two months or two years ago?
Do I have to tell anyone here that no woman invests in a god-damned ping-pong club unless she's really dickmatized? Geez.

  11. was it a blind item? or not?

  12. She can look forward to knowing that sometime within the next year the woman he'll start dating 31 years from now will be born.

  13. eeep..talk about being the cougar queen! not a fan of her or tim r., but tim is far better looking than the ping pong dude...

  14. http://www.spinyc.com/press/list/page-3

This is Spin's press page. Check out the article there showing Susan, FROM NOVEMBER 2008. It's on the 'last' page (earliest), but it's a PDF. The earliest article posted is from Jan of 2008, and the dude mentions his 'dream' of opening an upscale ping-pong club. Lucky he soon met Susan, eh?

    I knew it.

  15. Men do it all the time, why shouldn't women?

  16. OMG! the Susan's boyfriend has a "Susan" link on the Spin page, and it lead to all articles or interviews in which Susan has mentioned investing in 'Spin'. There's a paper trail of the affair.

  17. I don't have a problem with the age limit, and Susan Sarandon is kind of a fox so why shouldn't she indulge a bit with a youngin?

But if there was any cheating involved, that sucks.

  18. pamela, if you find an 19 year old guy to date you when you're 80, i'd be very surprised. unless you're really, really rich, of course.

  19. SUSAN AND TIM LIVED NEAR ME FOR YEARS...THEN THEY MOVED TO CHELSEA...
I ALWAYS FOUND THEM DOWN TO EARTH NICE PEOPLE....IN THIS CASE I SAY LIFE IS SHORT...ENJOY IT...
AND I DOUBT TIM'S ALONE EITHER....THEY NEVER MARRIED, SOUNDS LIKE THE SPLIT WAS MUTUAL ...
THAT SAID THEY LASTED A LOT LONGER THAN MANY MARRIED COUPLES...
    I WISH THEM BOTH WELL.

  20. Ha! Ha! On the Extra website her rep. is already denying the affair. She says they're relationship is "strictly business".

Okay if you say so I guess that makes it true.

  21. She puts the claws in cougar loving.

  22. Oh yeah, I forgot about the being very rich part but that is a given part of the plan :)

I think she has a thing for 30 y.o. She hooked up with Tim when he was 30 and now she's hooked up with another 31 y.o. man.

Good for her. If rich men can do it all the time now a woman gives them a taste of their own medicine.

  24. Tim is more than welcome to hang out over here for the holidays...I can promise some parts of him will be very happy....

    Baby steps.

  25. LOL @ dickmatized.

    I am SO biting that.

  26. Jax that is a fantastic analogy. I'm with you.

  27. i can't stand either one of them with their big mouthed holier than thou attitudes. although i tend to like her movies.
but there's such a double standard! he's half her age-
we tend to get peeved when a dude does this.
and what the hell is a ping pong club???
    :)

  28. Tell you what - I'm 36 and dated a couple of 19 year olds in the last year and from my perspective, there was really very not much to talk about, but that's not what I saw in them anyway : )

Not cool if there was cheating involved, but other than that, I'm a fan of dating younger men on a very short term basis.

  29. I am 40 and I have had pretty much the same experience with younger men in their 20's "Where's The Frat Party?" UGH!! But when they hit their 30's most are past that. But a ping pong player?? Hmm??

    ReplyDelete
  30. "Upscale ping-pong club"?

    Surely a contradiction of terms?

    ReplyDelete
  31. dbfreak & slider; yeah, I agree, the young ones are certainly energetic & fun, but with a few exceptions, they're not worth talking to. I've lost my taste for them (no pun intended, really, lol).

  32. I was lurking around a blind items revealed website and found this one from a few months ago:

    "BLIND GOSSIP 01/22
This celebrity couple is known for their commitment to each other despite their age difference. Each appears to have adapted well to parenting in a blended family. However, one parent was recently caught by one of their grown children in a compromising situation outside of the family. The child - who is also pursuing a career in acting - is now in the uncomfortable position of lying to the one parent about the other in order to keep the family intact."

    The guesses were either: Ashton Kutcher/Demi Moore/Rumer Willis;
    or Susan Sarandon/Tim Robbins/Eva Amurri.

Interesting in light of recent news of Tim and Susan splitting.

This guy is so doughy looking. Gross.

  34. I saw her on Fallon awhile ago playing Ping Pong with him, Artie Lange and Olivia Munn. Thought it was kinda weird she had invested in a ping pong club but....to each his own. I could never date someone that much younger (but older, oh yeah!). Whatever makes her happy. Hopefully her split was amicable.....

    ReplyDelete
  35. I'll wait for some kind of confirmation before drinking this koolaid.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I wish her the best. If Mr Ping Pong makes her happy, god bless her

    From Meg C.H.

"I could never date someone that much younger (but older, oh yeah!)."

You must be pretty young because if Susan dated someone who was 31 years older than her he'd be over 90 y.old!

    LOL!

Other than activities of a "carnal" nature, these two cannot possibly have much in common.

    Me: 35.5 years old
Him: 20 years and 2 weeks (no joke)

After 3 months I gently opted out of the non-relationship. Who wants to have sex with someone young enough to be their son? (Or in this case, grandson?)

I'm still a baby cougar (late 20s is ok), but I learned my lesson with the 20 year old. For reals.

  39. LOL for a long time... like most of our readers can afford CL shoes. Go away.

Yeah I should have clarified that statement. I have dated men up to about 10-15 years older but 30 years, no. :)

  41. Didn't Forest Gump succeed in Ping Pong ?!? ...just asking.

  42. I don't see SS having an affair with the Ping Pong Pillsbury Dough Boy. She has better taste and class than that. What a downgrade from Tim Robbins to that tool. I'm thinking this story is a reach...

    ReplyDelete
  43. Guess I'll ping pong profile, but that guy gives me the creeps! I hate it when someone cheats in a committed relationship.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Whoa--when did she & Tim Robbins break up? I must be way behind the times.
