I am sorry for not having a Four For Friday post on Friday. I got caught up with something and by the time I could get back to the blog it was already late Friday night, but I will figure out a way to make it up to you.
So, this A list singer who is married to an A list movie actress was in a music store over the weekend and was looking at guitars and trying some of them out. Also in the store at the same time was a teenager who was looking at effects pedals. The specific one the kid was looking at cost about $500 which is pretty pricey for a pedal.
Anyway our singer and the teen talked for awhile and then the singer ended up buying a guitar for himself. While he was at the counter paying he told the cashier to also charge the effects pedal to his credit card and to tell the teen Merry Christmas.

Being a country music kinda gal myself, I saw Keith Urban in concert recently. He was out in the middle of the crowd, running down the aisles, singing his heart out, shaking hands with his fans, standing on spectators' chairs, playing where people could touch him, and everything! He is an amazing performer and true gentleman, and this is him. Hands down. FTW.

ReplyDeleteThanks also for the link, Urban Myths. The true spirit of Christmas. I think, in terms of material gifts, there is no better feeling than giving someone a gift that you know will be very useful to them. And Urban didn't expect, and probably didn't want the publicity for doing it. Kudos!
