Today's Blind Items
What do you do when you are promoting a movie and two of the biggest names in the movie can't stand each other? Well usually they just smile and pretend, but this B list movie actress and B list movie actor dislike each other so much they refuse to even be at the same premiere let alone walk the red carpet together or pose for any pictures.

sunnyside, I think A list can open a movie on their name alone, which Weisz probably wouldn't be considered capable of doing.

I don't know who Rachel Weiz is I'm sure I know her face but don't recognize her name so I'm not putting her on "A" list status.I know Enty has his own version of list ranking. With that said I'm on the Rachel and Mark wagon.

The Mark Ruffalo guesses are wrong. As you may remember it, he took some time out from acting because of his brother's death.

The only contenders who fit the blind (aka B list) are Wahlberg/Weisz or SJP/Grant. Jude Law and Rachel McAdams are safely A list.
ReplyDeleteMcGuire, Gyllenhall and Portman have done a bunch of promotion together, though I can't explain Jake's absence during the premiere. (Maybe Prince of Persia duties)? I thought the blind everyone believed to be McAdams and Law turned out to be someone else? Maybe Sherlock Holmes promotion just hasn't geared up yet?
ReplyDeleteIt's Natalie Portman and Jake/Tobey for the win. Natalie and I were at Harvard at the same time, so I can tell you first hand that she's an excellent actress...because she's a complete twat in real life.

ReplyDeleteI don't know about the Rachel Weisz and Mark Whalberg. She is promoting another movie she's in that's coming out, Agora I think it's called. I don't think Weisz has been to any Lovely Bones premiere, of course I could be wrong.

ReplyDeleteI always thought of Weisz as A list. She's been in some important movies and everyone knows her face, even if you don't know her name because she's not a tabloid spectacle. But then again, the fact that she's not written abolute could make her B list.
Ok...well this can't be Rachel McAdams and Jude Law. They were at the same premiere for Sherlock Holmes last night in London. There are photos of both of them there. I guess it must be Rachel and Mark W. for the lovely bones.
ReplyDeleteRachel Weisz is a solid B/B+. She can't carry a movie on her own without the help of another A or B list actor/actress. She's no Julia Roberts, Sandra Bullock or Kate Winslet. I love her and think she's a very good actress...but she's not an A.
