Today's Blind Items

I always knew this B list Golden Globe nominee/winner television actor was self conscious about his hair. But, what I didn't know is that although he has a few plugs, he covers 95% of his extremely bald head with four different very expensive toupees. He tells his many one night stands not to touch his head and he has four models in his bedroom where he keeps them when not wearing them.

  3. Isn't Piven a given??

I'm going to go with Tony Shalhoub.

  4. definitely piven ftw...look at his earlier films/work he had a total receding hairline. i remember seeing him in 'very bad things' - he had total george catanza (spelling sorry) hair

  5. 4 toupees? Jeebus, that's a lot!

    Pivert FTW.

  6. This isn't even unknown, except for the 'don't touch my hair.' That makes me feel bad for him....wait...okay, it passed.
Wasn't Piv in Mad About You w/ the full Mel Cooley head? It was a bit part in some sitcom from that era. Maybe Murphy Brown?

I will say, he did a good job w/ the 'balding' look. He looks almost natural. Brenden Fraser exemplifies why large plug jobs don't work very well.

  7. The Piv was in Ellen with his bald head...heheehehhehe.

  8. Oh... I like the Danson guess!!!

    ReplyDelete
  9. I don't think Danson is known for a lot of one night stands.

  10. Good links Nikki! That is freaking hilarious

  11. I'm impressed with the Piv's plugs, seriously poor John Travolta should go see Piv's plugist.

  12. great links Nikki!!

    I concur.

  13. I don't mean to change the subject, but how do four toupees work? Do you wear them at the same time, or each on different occasions?

    ReplyDelete
  14. I immediately thought Jude Law too.

    ReplyDelete
  15. I'm picturing Tyson Beckford, Lars Burmeister, Marcus Schenkenberg and Sean O'Pry standing around Piven's closet wearing his wigs. ; )

  16. 4 toupees, does that make it a quilt?

  17. Piv on Ellen - much balder than he is now!

  18. Ted Danson admits to being bald and using a small hairpiece for is crown baldness during filming. Thanks for the links, Nikki. Piv the Perv FTW! Remember that BI about a celeb shagging a fan in his dressing room or trailer during an event? Uh huh

  19. 4 toupees? I'm impressed at his dedication. A friend of a friend used to date the piv - I'm going to have to ask for the inside scoop.

  20. Jeremy, jeremy, jeremy...
    (shakes head sadly)

  21. Oooh...I love the Pivin guess. Now that you mention it, his hair was totally receding in PCU 15years ago and now he has way more hair which just doesn't add up and he fits the one night stands part, too.

I am also curious about the 4 toupees. Maybe if this becomes a blind reveal we can learn more about the 4 toupees? I sure hope so!

  22. Danson has been married for years. Don't think it's him. I am voting for the Piv.

  23. Jude Law isn't a television actor, people.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Oh, and just a small rant. Why do people post here and then tell us to get a life? I have a life and I really don't need to get a second one.

    ReplyDelete
  25. sounds like it could be piven.

don't think its steve carrell, who seems happily married and not the one night stand kind of person, but he also was going bald in some of the older office episodes. don't know if he has plugs or a toup now.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Another vote for The Piv. I didn't even finish reading before I was thinking it was him.

    ReplyDelete
  27. PS - Hugh Laurie also wears toupees both on-and-off screen now (almost always during red carpet and publicity appearances for House), but he is still sometimes spotted without it.

(And peeps, "happily married" means little to celebs, as we've learned from the way Tiger Woods had the public hoodwinked for the last 5 years.)

But I still love Piven for this.

  28. Piven is as a good a guess as anyone.

As to why 4 rugs two potential answers.

First they do need to be "cared for" once in awhile so a rotaion of 1 on his head, next to wear, a spare, and one out for service is not unreasonable.

The other reason for multiple rugs is differing styles.

  29. Wouldn't there be some mention of movies if it was Piven? "Television actor..."

    ReplyDelete
  30. Libby, I love the Mel Cooley comment - When I read the blind I immediately thought of Alan Brady and the mannequin head in his office. :)

  31. Concerning the Costanza reference

Remember the Seinfeld episode "The Pilot", the one where they shoot the "Jerry" sitcom project with both George and Kramer freaking out about the actors that are supposed to play them because they look like them?

George's doppelganger was... a very bald Jeremy Piven.

  32. Angela, I was just thinking about Piven's baldness in the Seinfeld episode.

Love him or hate, he looks much better with the good toupees

    ReplyDelete
  33. alec baldwin. i don't care, i'd rub his sexy bald jack donaghy head.

    ReplyDelete
  34. The Piv? You mean chicks actually "sleep" with that douche?

    ReplyDelete
  35. Hugh Laurie wears a toup??

    I am sooo naive!

Sorry, can't get past this tidbit to speculate on the BI. Brain... melting...

    ReplyDelete
  36. I'll bet the douche has 4 wax models of himself to put his hair hats on!

    ReplyDelete
  37. I feel very sorry for him. But there is that doctor in Phoenix that has completely rewritten hair plug success and men's hair is gorgeous when they leave him. Why is he struggling?

    ReplyDelete
  38. @ angela - oh my god i never realized that was the perv! hysterical!

    ReplyDelete
  39. Of course it's Piven! he was going bald in "Lucas" (1986) (I had a crush on him then!)

I have to say the rugs have made his career. It was a wise choice to wear them. He's hot.

    ReplyDelete
  40. To those guessing Jude Law....um, if it is him, he has it on backwards.

    ReplyDelete
  41. To be different I am going to say William Shatner.

But I suspect Piven has multiple toupees simply cause they start to look ratty if you wear the same one every day.

As I see it... Beyonce is rarely seen without her lace front on... so I see nothing wrong with a man wearing one. haha!

Plus lets be honest, Nicholas Cage looks 100% better with his on.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Jeremy P. He was bald as SJP's sister's lover in "Miami Rhapsody".

And Hautie Tx, I am sorry but I am going to respectfully disagree on your Nic Cage comment. The guy looks like he's got roadkill on his head in "Ghost Rider". It was distracting.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Hugh Laurie. He's been nominated for an Emmy a bunch but has only won a Golden Globe. I'm guessing if he had won both, it would have read, "...B list Golden Globe AND Emmy nominee/winner television actor..."

    ReplyDelete
  44. Heck. Piven was cast as George in the Seinfeld "show within a show" and he was way bald then.

  45. this could ONLY be Piven. when he's not wearing one of his toupees he's wearing a hat.

they may be expensive toupees, but i have to say they look kinda obvious on him, lol.
