Tuesday's Blind Item
Oh, I guess this actress is B list, but only because of her name. If not for her name she would be C list at best. Movies, always movies. Oh, and she is married. Oh, and she has child/ren. One of her favorite tricks for losing weight is to meet people for lunch or dinner. This works best for her when it is a first time meeting. She will go to great lengths to order a big meal. When it arrives she invariably finds something wrong with it and sends it back while insisting her companion keep eating. When her food arrives again, she picks at it and will say she doesn't want to send it back again but it still isn't perfect. By this time her companion usually finishes and our actress just says she will eat a big dinner when in fact she will eat nothing.
She'd better leave a damn big tip!

ReplyDeleteOne of the hallmarks of an eating disorder is fuckery with food when it is present. Rather than just be honest and say, "I am not going to eat," anorexic people will push food around, cut it up with a fork and knife, mix it up, play with it, and then say "I'm done." I sat next to a anorexic woman on a flight from London to the US once, her body reeking of death (ketones in the blood rise when the body begins eating its own muscle tissue, it's a sickening odor), and she accepted every meal and pushed the food around before hiding it under her napkin. I almost said "I saw that, and your smell horrible from starvation," but I didn't. I'm nice. Kind of. Anorexia is a disease of self-hate -- yelling at them won't help.

ReplyDeleteyou're not in 'ketones.' you're in ketosis. you're not eating enough carbs. are you eating enough calories at all? are you on a low carb diet?
