Adam Lambert - Not A Fan Of Susan Boyle

One thing about Adam Lambert is that he speaks his mind. I don't think he has a self-censor button. Great for gossip, not so great for making lots of friends. In an interview with Gay Times he said that he was disappointed he didn't get the number one album which he lost out on when Susan Boyle's album was released the same week. He said he would have been okay with that if the album was any good. Unfortunately he thought it sucked.

"If only it weren't for Susan Boyle! I'm happy for her success, but that album is terrible. 'Wild Horses' is the one that made me laugh the hardest. I just died when I heard it, I was crying with laughter. It was the most horrendous, sacrilegious treatment of that song!"

As of today, Susan's album has sold about 8M copies worldwide while Adam Lambert has sold about 519,000 copies of his debut album.

  3. You know I am a Kanye West fan (in spite of his outbursts) but I must say that Adam Lambert is turning into the new version of Kanye.

If he doesn't learn when to keep his mouth shut he's going to lose his fan base.

Susan may be a nut case but she can definitely sing and has garnered a lot sympathy from people.

Like I said Adam needs to tone it down a bit.

  5. Attention Ho Rule #609 - When one's album/project flops, start hating on the person who's done better than you.

    Well done...

  6. I tried to be a fan of Glambert because I DO like the song "Whadda Ya Want From Me." I don't like Susan Boyle just because of all the hype surrounding her. But dude, YOU came from a reality show just like SHE did. Who are you to sit in yoru glass house and judge? Get over yourself Adam!!

  7. Hopefully he was misquoted, because I like him. I think the industry needs people like him. And let's face it, 8M people CAN be wrong (Nickelback, anyone?), but Susan can sing.

  8. I think he's fine w/speaking his mind. Obviously we all do it on here as well, right?
And, yeah Susan Boyle's album is a huge bore and letdown. Can lots of people be wrong? Apparently so. And where were the singles/hits/releases?

I think Susan Boyle has a voice. But I don't think it's a marketable voice. The huge thing about her was that she came onto stage, middle aged, frowsy, overweight and foolish, and she shocked an entire audience by having an actual talent. That was the fun part. I'll never buy one of her CDs though, because I really don't like that kind of music all that much.

  13. Apparently Lambert hasn't heard his rendition of Mad World. "It was the most horrendous, sacrilegious treatment of that song!"

  16. Oh God but he's a twit. He's like the male version of Miley Cyrus. Every time either one of them opens their mouth, out comes verbal diarrhea. Attacking a middle aged, IQ challenged singer, so not cool Adam. Perhaps if he focused less on channeling Freddy Mercury and troweling on the eye makeup, and put some effort into producing a decent album, more people would buy it. Maybe he and Susan could cut a record together. He could probably use her help and her 8 million listeners fan base, and she could get makeup tips from him. It's a win-win situation. lol

  18. Dude....lambert. Just cuz a lot of ppl dont like your over the top bullshit doesn't mean you gotta hate on the whacko that is the boyle.

  19. he's got a point, though.

  20. Syko you said that Susan Boyle doesn't have a marketable voice? Her debut album sold 8 million so far, as Enty points out. 8 million = more than marketable.

Glambert is just jealous that her album sold almost 15 times more copies than his.

  21. I wish someone really would channel Freddie Mercury. I miss him. He was a great showman with fantastic chops. :)

As for Eyeliner Boy maybe Maybelline Cosmetics will hire him. He wears way more make-up then I do.

  22. I have no personal stake in this but I do know people don't like to hear a bunch of snarky comments directed at a harmless person who hasn't said anything horrible about you. This comment just makes Lambert seem small and mean spirited, bitter much Adam? Say what you want about Susan Boyle having/not having talent 8 million people took money out of their pocket to buy SB's music and will now NEVER buy anything by Adam so however many fans he had yesterday, he has 8 million fewer today.

  24. Currently... rolling... my eyes... now.

BTW, Lady Gaga -- someone who actually pushes boundaries and conventions and has gone far without the aid of reality TV popularity contests -- has gone on the record as saying she not only LIKES SuBo but wants to record a duet with her! How 'bout them apples?

(Sorry, no one talks shit about the Boyle without me defending her, and I am ten trillion times more bored by the "Glambert" than I would be by the Gaga.)
