Bachelor Finale Not Scripted This Time

I don't know what Chris Harrison and The Bachelor producers expected. In order to promote sagging viewership they had for months been dragging this woman Rozlyn Papa through the mud and implying she was kicked off for having sex with a producer who was fired and that Chris hated firing the guy because he was a friend. For months Rozlyn has had a chance to come up with the perfect revenge and she got it last night on the finale show. It was brilliant and priceless and is probably what was needed to stop The Bachelor staff from pulling the same kind of stuff next season.

Here is how it went down. Basically Rozlyn was waiting backstage while three women talked about how they saw Rozlyn and the producer making out. Rozlyn then comes out and is confronted by the accusations. She then swore on her child's life that nothing sexual happened. OK, stop right there. Never swear on your child's life. That is so wrong. Anyway, Chris then says what he has said repeatedly that the producer was a friend and firing him was the toughest decision he has had to make in a long time. Rozlyn then got off the line of the year when she said, "That's news to him, especially when you were hitting on his wife in New Zealand. He thought that was crazy." Chris then said he hoped Rozlyn would become a better person through this. Now, no matter what happens from this season, people will always believe that Rozlyn had sex with the producer and that Chris hit on the producer's wife. Whether they are true or not, that is what people will always believe.

What is interesting is that the official ABC clip from the show (below) has Rozlyn being accused by the other women and Chris but gets cut off before her line to Chris. Obviously some can dish the dirt but can't take it.

  1. Lots of people are like that. They dish out all the time, but the second you(vous) say something they get all upset. Ha.

  2. I don't watch the Bachelor but they showed this clip on The View and it was priceless. LOL!

By the way I believe she had a thing going with the producer. I'm on the fence as to whether or not Chris flirted with the wife.

  3. i don't watch this show...but good for rozlyn! i wouldn't put it past any reality show to invent a parallel 'reality' to suit their ratings interests.

  4. I actually disagree with Enty this time. Rozlyn didn't seem believable at all, in my opinion. She claims nothing happened on the show, but the producer AND HIS FATHER has come to visit her after the show.

She made a complete fool of herself IMO.

  6. I am on the fence on this....usually Reality Steve is correct and he says that ABC is the villain here, not Rozalyn. I'd like to believe that Chris Harrison is a good guy but I guess if he is on the payroll then anything is possible.

I was surprised that they let Rozalyn on the show at all and that she chose to come on knowing they would skewer her. So Reality Steve thinks that the producers told the other girls what to say (to lie). I just don't know. I guess anything is possible on "reality" tv.

Chris Harrison's neck was RED during that segment and I REALLY wish I could have seen his remarks off camera when she BURNED him w/ that zinger about hitting on the producer's wife.

  7. I haven't been following this that closely, but I seem to recall that Chris Hansen and ABC went out of their way to say it was an "inappropriate" relationship, but never specifically said sex was involved. If she was making out with the producer, that's inappropriate. If she put her hand on his thigh, that's inappropriate. Any close interaction like that, even just talking and flirting would be inappropriate because it would appear to be an unfair advantage for a contestant who's very friendly with a member of the crew. ABC could have come out and said sex was not involved, but it's much more provocative and ratings-boosting to say it was "inappropriate" and let the viewers decide what that meant. When Rozlyn swears nothing happened, yeah, probably no sex, but I bet the kissing, flirting and hand on the thigh stuff really happened and she should at least own up to that. And ABC should own up to exaggerating this way out of proportion. Of course, neither will happen.

  8. She looks guilty. If she was innocent, she would would have said exactly what it was she did do, or said why the girls were confused. She should own up to what DID happen at least because there was obviously some sort of relationship. As to Chris hitting on the producer's wife, maybe or maybe not. Men and women flirt all the time, but it may hot have been actually "hitting" on his wife. It was a great moment in the WTA last night though. By the way, I love you ET!

  9. Rozlyn mentioned that there was no tape of her having sex with the producer.

Chris pointed out that the night producer knew where the cameras were in the house, so he would be able to have sex w/out getting caught.

One lady mentioned that as a mother she would never say something to another mother if it wasn't true.

I think this mess wouldn't have happened if Rozlyn and producer guy admitted they fell in love.
    Nuff said. End of story.
Denying it just makes them both look like assholes.

She's the dumbest mother of the year.

    The show is retarded.

Women dance and sing for the bachelor to prove how much they like him...barf

I don't believe the hitting on my wife comment from the bimbo.
If that really happened, don't you think the guy would have left the show a long time ago.
    Please...I call BS.

  10. She does not deny the relationship here:

"I don't really think my personal life is anyone's business."

    Uh....you're on a reality show.

  11. Please remember that everything you see on that show is edited to death. They slice and dice so much it's unreal. You can say "I hate pancakes" and "Heather is the nicest person in the world" and if they need someone saying they hate Heather then they can take your two sentences and slice them together in a voice over to make it sound like you said "I hate Heather." A Bachlor producer admitted to doing this in an NPR interview a few years back, they call them Frankenbites. They edit things people say to tell the story they want to tell.

Also, when a person on the show says something you have NO idea what was actually asked to get that response. The previous post refers to Roz saying "I don't really think my personal life is anyone's business." She could have been responding to a question about her ex-husband (or the father of her child, not sure if they were married) or a question about how many men she has dated in the last year, you have NO clue what was asked to get that response.

The reality of this show is lost in the editing room.
