Three parts today.
Lady GaGa in Q Magazine. Shortly after these photos were taken she started crying and then collapsed. It was also immediately after this session that she canceled those concerts due to exhaustion.
Mike Comrie, Hilary Duff and her $1M engagement ring. Yep. $1M. Apparently Mike is rich. Not like hockey player rich, but heir to a Canadian furniture store chain (The Brick) rich. Carrie Underwood is fuming somewhere.

The Nightmare On Elm Street one sheet has just been released. Yeah, it looks scary.
I haven't had a Peaches Geldof photo in a long time. Did she get some of her tattoos removed or are they just well hidden by what she is wearing?
Evgeny Plushenko has awarded himself a new medal. If you will look closely at the bottom right of the picture he has now won a Platinum from the Vancouver Games. Think he is still pissed about not getting Gold?
Steve Guttenberg is getting old. Makes me feel really, really old.

First up, I think we should accept everybody, no matter their size. What concerns me is the starvation of women in the entertainment industry. What happened to Shakira? Her waist is tiny. She was slim but curvy when she first came out, and now there is nothing of her. Renee Zelwegger needs an immediate intervention, the photos of her on Lainey yesterday were scary. And most men I know don't get why the women have to be so skinny. It's not the general public calling for this. OK, rant over, thanks for reading.

Feraltart beat me to it - Shakira's waist is tiny and by most accounts, Gaga's been starving herself due to some offside remark from Alex Saarsgaard. That being said, Gaga probably needs a rest - she's been working herself to death for the last two years - and I don't mean Lindsay Lohan-style "working".
Beatrice sure takes after her mom!

yeah, i hope gaga rents a frecking island and spends a couple of weeks there, she deserves it. i didnt hear about those remarks from alex, that sucks. he always seemed kind of normal and with an appetite for non-freakishly skinny women

Sue Ellen, I think he is that pathetic. I highly doubt that there is such thing as a platinum medal. He only won silver and doesn't seem to be a good sportsman who can't begrudge another athlete winning the gold medal.
remember 'bout 8 years ago, hillary was 'dating' Aaron Carter? they were young teenagers and he cheated on her and left her for Lindsay Lohan? Hillary was crushed, Lindsay and Aaron photographed, 'young love'. Now, 8 years later, Aaron looks about 20years older than his 22, 23. He has filed for bankruptsy, blaming his mom. He has been in rehab for alot of drugs, says he is clean, his career, well washed up. Lindsey, almost the same career path. Begging for work, drugs, alcohol, drugs, etc. Hosting club parties, near death at times. Hillary, has worked steadily. Maybe not at what she has wanted to do, but work. Nothing too scandelous. At least in this story, nice girls did finish first. congrats Hillary, but be careful with that rock.

that idiot russian ice skater. Can't take losing. I know there was a debate, but I think that the american skated better. It was close. He has to get over it. There is no prejudice. For years, YEARS, the russians always won. The way this guy talks and acts, you would have thought he flew, created a rainbow and had fireworks shooting out of his butt than made peace in the middle east. His ego was bigger than his nose, and that is saying alot. He better hope not to run into the same judges he ripped apart.

I agree with him that his performance was better cause he did a quad, unfortunately a quad is ZERO points, so whatever dude, your fault for not sticking to things that have a point value like the Villianess did. wah wah

bj....that is so true. Thanks for the reminder. I've always kind of liked Hillary. She's worked hard to get where she is. She may not be an Oscar winner, but she's certainly got talent. It's sad to see the rock Arron and Lindsay have ended up under in life. Stay away from drugs kids...and you may succeed too.

I had a good laugh at that video until he started flexing his costume muscles, then I got uncomfortable and had to stop it.
I don't follow hockey so I don't really know about this Comrie dude but I love the thought of Carrie fuming hehe.

But still making faces to the crew is not very professional. Why did he participate in that video in the first place? I also doubt that Lady Gaga had bad breath. She seems like a person who's obsessed with perfection and she strikes me as the one who would chew a lot of mint gum or suck on numerous Altoids before doing a kissing scene only to not smell or taste funny to the other.
But then, maybe that was exactly what ticked him off. ;)

Yevgeny Plushenko is a whiny widdle weasel.
Oh, and regarding Plushenko, he really didn't do a better program. He looked like a weebel on his landings, whereas Lysacek's landings were solid and smooth, and his program was just as hard, and more graceful overall.
You are only as strong as your weakest link. If you can't nail a triple, the quad doesn't matter.
How disappointing about Alex S. saying that about Gaga. I'm no fan of hers at all, but that's just bullshit. Badly done, Eric Northman.

The Russians and Plushenko have been huge dicks over this - whining, bigging themselves up all the time, never saying anything nice about competitors, saying that the US paid off the judges, etc. It's horrible and disgusting. And I'm not American, so it's not about me having a bias.
The fact is that if you look at the scoring rules, Lysacek scored within the rules and Plushenko DID wobble throughout his programme - he didn't skate clean, unlike Lysacek.
Unfortunately, while Plushenko may be the better skater, Lysacek skated&scored better on the day and that's the nature of the beast.
My view of the Russians has gone rapidly down after seeing their horrendous behaviour about this.
The problem is with the figure skating establishment. They've been messing up the scoring for the last few years.
I was going to go off on a rant about how actresses are going to start dying of malnutrition but everyone is going to blame it on the drugs that they take to keep them skinny, then I realized that may already have happened with Brittany Murphy. I don't know what it's going to take to stop the pressure to be skeletal. I think it's in large part the producers' fault; I've heard a ton of stories about them pressuring actresses to lose weight that they can't afford to lose. Do they really think it's what the people want to see?
Kat Dennings reminds me of an ugly version of Hilary Duff. I cannot stand that girl, ever since 40 year old Virgin.

and not to rail against the Russians..but they are not coming out looking good at all in Vancouver. they took over the science center for Russia House and everyone i know who has gone said they either left because they felt so unwanted,or were asked to leave by HUGE black suited bouncers for no real apparent reason. hello, you're hosting the Olympics soon! it's a shame because the Russian tourists I have met here are super friendly.
