Today's Blind Items
This former B list female tween singer with one hit is now an actress/singer who probably gets more auditions than anyone in town. Why? Well she is still very young although now legal, and is known for being very very accommodating to producers. So accommodating in fact that she went from barely getting any work to getting parts in five different movies all within about a month.

Its not Ashley or Vanessa they were actresses before singers. Miley isn't legal nor has she had only one hit.

ReplyDeleteI don't know who "JoJo" is but looked up the name on IMDB and came up with someone named Joanna "JoJo" Levesque who is 19 years old and has SIX films in development. Works for me. JoJo ftw.

It definitely sounds like JoJo. In tween-world, all of the other suggestions (Hilary Duff, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale and Miley) either are A-list or they were at the height of their fame.

ReplyDeleteJojo makes sense. She got into the fame game when she was 14. She grew up in an abnormal environment. She probably doesn't think what she's doing is abnormal. In Hollywood, it may not be.

Wow, that's so sad if it's her. There was a really long article about her in the Boston Globe Magazine and it sounded like her Mom would have pulled her out of the biz if she thought it would influence her negatively.

ReplyDeleteShe used to be very vocally "high road" though. She was offered Hannah Montana & said no; and later criticized her friends the Jonases for going to TV show route, too.
But when bills need to be paid, tunes can change...Hollywood is such a bitch.
I would consider her a one hit wonder. I could not name a song, and just kind of assumed she had only one song that was popular. Maybe Ent assumed the same?

ReplyDeleteJust because she got the parts in one month doesn't necessarily mean the movies came out all in one year, no? Doesn't post production sometimes drag release out to the following year, etc.? My money's on Mandy Moore....her only "hit" (if you can call it that) was "I Wanna Be With You" which hit the Billboard Top 40 whereas "Candy" was #41, and she had roughly 5 movies between 2001 and 2004 (age 17-20) in which she was a main/notable character. Jojo on the other hand, has had 3 songs on the Billboard Top 40 so that counts her out as having had one hit.

When will we learn that when girls are forced to do favors for something, it's the losers in power that deserve our disgust!!!!(and yes, I know about the free will of the girls, but really, how much free will do young girls have against the manipulation of a much older, in power person who should know much, much better!!!!)

ReplyDeleteI can see where you are coming from and I kinda agree with you, but honestly, I don't understand how anyone could think that being famous is worth basically selling themselves for. Yes, she was young, and I do not know how it is out there in Hollywood, but I just cannot imagine sleeping with people for ANY reason other than loving them (and being in a relationship). Even when I was young I wouldn't have done it (and didn't), but I guess it's all in how you were raised.
Not laying blame or trying to act like I'm better than anyone, but I really just cannot wrap my head around it. I think it would be extremely damaging, and I wonder how people who have done it deal with it. Do they feel bad, or what? I wonder if that's why so many celebs are so messed up....like Lohan. I really think that girl was used like this, and look at where it's gotten her. I guess if you don't have caring, protective parents, things like this can happen. Just makes me glad I'm not famous and makes me love my overprotective, serious business parents even more!
Oh, and WOW. If she did have an abortion at 14/15...Jesus. Poor, poor thing. Unreal. I hope she can get herself together and realize that it is not worth selling yourself and being forced to have abortions to be famous. Hollywood is so fucked up it makes me sick.

ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you. How come the producers are getting off scott free while this desperate girl is being labelled a ho? And what about her agent? He or she must know she is doing this and LETTING her do it!
If this blind is revealed, I want the names of the other particpants involved. Future actors or actresses need to know who they are and what they are capable of before agreeing to a meeting with them.
Don't why a lot of you guys are saying Jojo. Jojo is not a one hit wonder. She had two big hits, Leave Get Out and Too Little Too Late,and she has been focusing only on her music and not acting right now, so definitely not her.
