Woman Beater Chris Brown Due In Court Today

Do you remember the above photo which was taken about nine months ago? That was the first day of Chris Brown's community service and there were cameras everywhere that day to show that he was really doing hard labor and not just hanging out and signing autographs like some celebrities or just blowing things off completely like Michelle Rodriguez. Well, Chris Brown will be in court this afternoon because the Judge presiding over his case is not convinced that Chris has really been doing hard labor. I'm not convinced either. As much as he is photographed out in public and as much as he travels, I am wondering whether he has spent any time back in Virginia doing community service and if so, how come there has never been another photo of him performing it. I would have posted every single one of the pictures just to take a dig at him. There has been nothing though and I will be interested to see what he says he did and when.

  2. Thank you for posting this Enty. I think Chris is banking on people forgetting due to our sound byte society now.

People like you and TMZ aren't giving him a pass and I am happy you are not letting him off the hook.

Thankfully his last album and tour tanked but seeing him at fashion shows (and posing with celebs) is disturbing. He is trying to rehabilitate his image. Whole thing makes me sick.

  3. I don't think Chris Brown will ever bounce back from this and I highly doubt people will forget about it. I mean, he's replaced Ike Turner in the sentence "don't make me Ike Turner you."

  4. He'll be reminded to do the service, there will be another round of pics, and that will be that.

Enty, I hope you are okay. xoxo

  5. Hardly surprising for a guy who has never really seemed sorry for his crime.

  6. I'm not convinced that he's doomed. I live in the South Jersey-Philadelphia area and in the past week, I've heard his songs on the radio at least 3 times.

The American public seems to be very forgiving people, IMHO.

  7. Wow, there's a lot of judgment here. I hope those that are so hard on Chris are just as hard on Sean Penn, Charlie Sheen, Nick Carter (I know, he's beyond irrelevant but he fits), Christian Slater and so on and so on.

  8. What I'd like to know is where is the outcry?
    Remember the Dixie Chicks?
One comment. One comment and they're completely ostracized.
Even in a new administration, they don't get air play.
Here you have a convicted abuser - someone who willingly took his fists to a woman - and he's being allowed to sink back into society?
    Excuse me?
    Words vs physical abuse.
And what are we still remembering? Has violence become so second nature to us that we can so easily ignore it, while an individual's opinion scars us and scares us?

Fundamentalist right wing Christians in the states have a lot of power in politics. There is your answer.

  10. Our local hip-hop radio station plays his music all the time, too, and it makes me switch the channel.

I really don't think he has learned anything from what he did, and is just mad that people haven't forgiven him by now.

  11. Merlin, unfortunately I think Sue Ellen is right on the money...

  13. @Angiegetyourgun: Are you kidding me??? Before you make a comment like that do a little research. Go check out some of the posts on the people you mentioned. We judge EVERYONE like this.

  14. He just blew it!! How will he ever make a comeback after this? IMHO He's not even a great singer to think about forgetting his personal life

  15. Well said, ballyhoo.

  16. People in America have always been persecuted more for their ideas than their actions-- revolutionaries, civil rights demonstrators, Dixie Chicks, etc. As Charles Manson put it: "I'm not afraid of the gun, I'm afraid of the man behind the gun, and I'm even more afraid of the mind of the man behind the gun!" Despite the source it's a really perceptive observation.

  17. Sue Ellen, it wasn't the radio-listening public, it was the Radio Stations who took control (on not playing Dixie Chicks);

The consumers put their money where their mouths were, and:

"Taking the Long Way debuted at number one on both the U.S. pop albums chart and the U.S. country albums chart, selling 526,000 copies in the first week (the year's second-best such total for any country act) and making it a gold record within its first week, despite having little or no airplay in areas that had once embraced them."

It was the radio stations with no cojones who wouldn't play the Chicks. (Even after support from Merle Haggard and Mary Chapin Carpenter. Of course, mainstream country radio doesn't currently play either of those artists).

(Yeah, I have issues with Top 40 Country Radio)

  19. I guarantee he will do his community service. I am a native Virginian and they DO NOT PLAY in my state. You don't do what you're supposed to, you WILL go to jail. I was thrilled when he had to do his community service in VA just because I knew he wouldn't be able to weasel out of it like he would in lawless craphole celebtard-worshipping CA. I never thought I could be more proud to be a Virginian but I guess I was wrong!

I wonder where that pic was taken? It looks like the Richmond area, which truly is God's country it's so beautiful. Man, I miss my state!

Who do radio stations deal with? The FCC. Who does the FCC work for? The government. I could do a whole song and dance about this, but I'll spare you (and everyone else), and simply refer you to my answer above.

  26. I live in Richmond Va, and there have been a good amount of Chris Brown sightings around there.. not doing community service though. He likes to frequent the Carytown area, which is a little shopping district uptown. He's from Tappahannock which isn't all that close to here (but not far either), so unless his family moved to Richmond, I don't think he's coming back there for any reason other than to do community service. I'm not defending him at all though, just saying. He's been here at least 3 times.
