  1. Did RDJ buy his suit at Pee Wee Herman's yard sale?

  2. Sandras dress was my fave! she was gorgeous

Vera's dress was hands down my least fave...wow is all I can say

  3. I only like one dress in this bunch - Sandra Bullock's. What saddens me is that she had to join the botox train.

  4. SJP looked like hell, and that orange fake tan did NOT help. Her looks would improve tremendously if she'd gain about 15 pounds. Even Steve Martin made a comment about her weight when he introduced her.

Robert Downey, Jr. has also looked better, but I still heart him very much.

Loved Sandy's dress, but not crazy about her hair. But she still looked very good.

Tina Fey - what are we going to do with you? Such talent, and very pretty, great body and not a clue about how to dress it. *Disappointed sigh* Hire a stylist - please. Those people at the stores work on commision. Never believe them.

  5. Sorry, I was underwhelmed by Sandy's dress.

Sarah was working the orange all over her face. It looked awful.

  6. SJP's dress is about the worst I've seen. Then again, it was overshadowed by her HAIR. Ginormous fake lighter-blond rolls stuck to the back of her head. And apparently she let a cat claw around on the top too.

I may be one of the few, but I *loved* Zoe Saldana's dress the instant I saw it. It just works on hr.

  7. ...oh, and SJP? I love you honey, I really do...

...but you have GOT to lay off the heavy black eyeliner girl. Your eyes are tiny and close together anyway. But, babe, you're like 45 now. Being a woman in my mid-40s too, lemme tell ya, we cannot pull off the heavy black eyeliner anymore. It makes you look like a tired rat.

  8. oh, SJP looked awful, I agree about the hair and eyeliner.

I like Vera and Zoe's dresses. They are like pieces of art. Nothing I would ever wear, but I am not going to the Oscars.

  9. Vera and Zoe=perfect examples of a dress wearing the lady instead of the lady wearing the dress

  10. If anyone can wear a blue bow tie and sneaker to the Oscars and get away with it, I guess RDJ would be the one! It looks like they had fun with it!

  11. I really liked Sandra's dress from the waist up. From the waist down it did NOTHING for her.

I thought Zoe Saldana's dress was over the top....and not in a good way.

RDJ and wife are the cutest ever.

Stana Katic kind of looks like an older, cleaner Mischa Barton in the face.

  12. RDJ reminded me too much of Peter Bogdonovich.

Zoe's dress would have been better without that last bit of puffery.

SJP looked cool retro and she was different from the rest.

I love Tina Fey, but hated the dress and hair.

Sandra Bullock, J.Lo, Demi Moore, and Meryl Streep were my faves.

  13. I though Sandra Bullock looked wonderful -- it was an "in it to win it" kind of dress.

Side note -- do the presenters know about the stairs situation ahead of time? Some of those heels were perilously high and it just seemed like a matter of time until a face plant.

  14. When they showed Zoe Saldana in the audience, the top of her dress looked absolutely stunning. What can I say, I'm easily distracted by sparkly things.

  15. SJP was also chomping gum during one close-up reaction shot (maybe the one about her weighing a pound). No matter how hard she tries, "sophisticated elegance" will never define her.

  16. I don't like Vera Farmiga. I can barely tell her and Cate Blanchett apart. I don't like Cate Blanchett either.

  17. SJP looked horrible but the dress wasn't ugly. the back was gorgeous. she just looked old and hard. hair flying all over, too skinny, etc.

bullock's dress was pretty and looked good on her. hate vera farmiga's. one of the worst last night, IMO. and zoe saldana? that's the prize winning stinker of the lot.

  18. Zoe's dress was really pretty.... on the top.

I liked SJP's dress, but her spray tan was too much.

  19. I have nothing against SJP, really, and I can see the effect she was aiming for, but she totally missed it, and IMNSHO the fake-bake spray tan is the biggest villain here. She's looked much better w/her natural skin tone, but she's way too skinny to be that orange, and the overall effect was aging and beefy-jerky; she looked at least 10 years older than she is, and as if she was headed towards Donatella-doppleganger territory. (You know what I mean--those older women in beachy climes who are too tan, too skinny, too full of nicotine, and a hell of a lot less attractive than they think. Bitchy, I know, but this was quite possibly the worst I've ever seen her look, and it's too damn bad. Oh, and the dress didn't do her any favors, either, and neither did the overly skinned-back brioche on the back of her head. *sigh*

As for RDJ, he was on Jimmy Kimmel after the awards, and apparently came straight from the Kodak Theatre (minus a pit stop at the hotel for a burger--what is it w/people chowing down on burgers post-Oscar?). Very funny, and we got to see the Iron Man 2 trailer and hear how much of a Method actor Mickey Rourke is. I assumed he'd changed into the sneakers at the hotel, but apparently not; then again, if you're going to be dashing hither & yon, it's probably better to do it in shoes you can run in, eh? ;-)

  20. Both Betty White and Bea Arthur looked fab @ the Oscars.

  21. Sarah Jessica Parker looks like a horse I once groomed, no foolin.

  22. I didn't mind SJP's dress, but the hair - all the little flyaways at the top (I'm SURE that could have been avoided) and that enormous bun...and the fake tan! She actually looked sticky!

  23. I think this is the year glamour left town.

And why all the tv people? How did they rate an invite?
