Since the French won't ask, the British did. In a Sky News interview, Carla Bruni was asked about whether she trusted her husband. She said yes because there has never been a picture of him having an affair. Isn't that like the whole tree falling in the forest thing. When asked whether she would be with him forever, it looks to me like a big no. As for whether she would cheat on him she said she has never been monogamous in the past but that marriage seems like a good place for monogamy. Yeah, I was confused by the answer also. Anyway, it is two minutes of your time and is worth it simply because I don't know if I had ever heard her voice before. Oh, and I hope that is a cold she has. That was a whole lot of sniffling. Did anyone else think she looked stoned?

She's your average 40-years-old slutty socialite. It's not seen as "slutty" in the French higher circles, it's the way they live. Do you think it's vastly different in the USA ? People may hide it a bit more.

One of my great aunts married into the higher classes in the 40s. Once she was pregnant, she was told that her husband's mistress would be given a room in the couple's house. She refused, he simply told her that "It's how we live, Dear". She had already divorced when she gave birth. And nobody in our family blamed her for it.
On another note, notice how the light was chosen to make her botoxed face look young and fresh.
Look at her smile at 1:21. The wife of the father of her son once wrote that she has a "terminator smile".
