Popbitch Blind Items

Which Hollywood queen has a very white habit? Over the last few months her agents and
publicists have been engaged in some creative damage-limitation work to make sure the fact
that she doesn't seem to care who she shares her powder with doesn't derail what is
already an award-winning career.

  1. ok, so i know it probably isn't, but she annoys me, so i choose her

  2. Jennifer Aniston...she was in Derailed and she won an Emmy for friends.

  4. Please don't be Cate Blanchett! She's one of my favs!

But... she does fit. She's played Queen Elizabeth twice, has been nominated for and won several awards (including an Oscar).

At first I thought Helena Bonham Carter (red queen in Alice in Wonderland), but while SUPER talented, I can't think of any BIG prizes she's won. =( Same goes for Anne Hathaway as the White Queen in the aforementioned movie. =(

  5. Anne Hathaway?

White queen in the Alice in Wonderland movie? "Queen with a white habit"?

I hope not 'cause I like her.

  6. Anne Hathaway. White Queen. Done.

  7. I wanna say Anne Hathaway because she's the white queen in "Alice" but she doesn't have an award just tons of nominations but I'll go with Emily Blunt she was Queen Victoria and I think she has a golden globe.

  8. I thought about Angelina Jolie, but I thought she did not use a publicist? I also thought about Jennifer Aniston because of the "derailed" reference, but I don't think of her as having an award-winning career, even with the Emmy (...in fact maybe a stint in rehab would be treated like a great career move for her?)

I think I like the Cate Blanchett guess best because she seems to fit the clues best, but I have no idea.

  9. I wouldn't consider Aniston to be a Hollywood queen...but I get the answer based on the "derail" comment. My initial thought is this is someone who is a strong actress who has won numerous awards for several years. I'm just throwing Meryl Streep out there, but really don't know.

  10. Totally Anne Hathaway. There have been rumours of this for a while, and the "Queen" seals it for me.

  11. Popbitch is a UK site so maybe it is Cate Blanchett. The derail clue might be about Clive Owen; they were in a movie together.

  12. Anne Hathaway won awards for Rachel Getting Married, but I don't think they were mainstream awards.

I kinda like the Emily Blunt guess too, but hate that one 'cause of John Krasinski. He used to be my TV boyfriend.

  13. She also has that slightly congested nose...like what your "n's" and "m's" sound like when you have a bad cold but you just took some Otrivin.

  14. I was talking about Anne Hathaway, BTW.

  15. @BoosterSeat John was also my Tv crush, but when the past B.I about him and Emily was revealed it made me think that anything can happen with them

  16. Clive Owen starred in Derailed with Jennifer Anniston, not Cate Blanchett. I really hope it's not Cate - she's such a great actress and I had been (maybe naively) under the impression that she had a low key & normal-ish private life.

  17. teehee, shelley502!

  18. I am saying Clive Owen was in a movie with Cate Blanchett.

  19. This made me think of Reese Witherspoon for some reason

    ReplyDelete
  20. Which movie had Clive and Cate?

    ReplyDelete
  21. I second Betty White. Hell, it's even in her name.

    ReplyDelete
  22. white habit rhymes with white rabbit, so perhaps it is Hathaway

    ReplyDelete
  23. Clive and Cate were in Elizabeth: The Golden Age. Still don't think it's her though.

  24. There have been coke rumors about Hathaway for a while, my money's on her.

  26. I think it's got to be someone younger like Anne Hathaway or Emily Blunt, rather than someone who's been around awhile (Aniston, Blanchett) because it says "what is ALREADY an award-winning career" - that seems to imply this is someone who hasn't been around too long but has done well for herself.

  27. And as further convincing, not only did Hathaway win the Hasty Pudding award last month, there was a blind on BlindGossip in the last two weeks about an actress and her boyfriend throwing a coke party and the clue was "guess her ex-boyfriend isn't the only one known for scandalous behaviour". Totally Hathaway.

  28. I like Anne Hathaway for this.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I like the Anne Hathaway guess, but since popbitch is british, I'll go with Emily Blunt.

  30. JEN ANISTON LIKES WEED..NO SECRET, THAT'S ALL I GOT

    ReplyDelete
  31. ..."a very white habit". Why do I have an image of Anne Hathaway in a nun's habit? Can't remember the movie... I think she fits though

    ReplyDelete
  32. I vote Hathaway. I think she's young enough that the "already" works for her.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Anne Hathaway actually won a critic´s choice award for Rachel getting married.
I really hope this isn´t her, though.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Anne Hathaway.

"White queen" in Alice in Wonderland.
Plus she has lost a ton of weight.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Anne Hathaway... sad! I thought she was going to emerge from her 20s unscathed by scandal other than her stealing fraud ex-boyfriend.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I can definitely see this being Anne, but to stir things up, what about Glenn Close? She's on "Damages" and has won a wheelbarrow full of awards for that show, as well as in her entire career. In terms of Hollywood status, she's definitely high up there and could be considered "royalty".

I don't want it to be her, so don't get it wrong. She's just the first person that I thought of when I read the BI.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Just to be different.
    Tilda Swinton.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I'm going with Cate Blanchett as well. I love her, but think she's also the answer to the blind about the younger look alike (Blake Lively) and mentioning coke.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I think it's Anne Hathaway.

    ReplyDelete
  40. let me guess this started as weight control
    and then?

    ReplyDelete
  41. Am I the only one who thought "aww, at least the actress is sharing"?

    ReplyDelete
  42. Dame Judi Dench? Helen Mirren? Elizabeth Taylor? The old Hollywood screen queens. Just sayin'.

    ReplyDelete
  43. actually, I'm thinking it might be Tilda Swinton too -- she's a Brit, she played the White Witch Queen in Narnia. And I'm wondering if Nicole Kidman would fit -- didn't she play a White Ice Queen or something like that in Golden Compass??? (and there were those weird white powdered face photos of her recently) But I'm going with Tilda Swinton
