Star Magazine Blind Item

Which quirky actress slept her way to a role on a long-running hit show? Now that there's talk of a movie version, she's offering the series' creator more sex, even though she's married.

  1. Oooh that's a good guess, though I really can't see Lisa being the type. But makes sense. I've got nothing else

  2. I don't want to be crude, but is there a sex shortage in Los Angeles? Why would producers give a role to someone in exchange for something they could pick up for twenty bucks on the streets? It's strange.

  3. well what show would go to the big screen?

can't imagine Patricia Arquette would cheat on that hot hubby of hers

  9. Just for shits & giggles I will say, Katie Sackhoff. She is now on 24 and there is talk about turning it into a movie.

  10. I'm guessing someone from 24 or BSG. There is talk of both becoming movies.

  11. Arrested Development could hardly be considered a long-running show, could it?

I was thinking Portia De Rossi. She' been kinda weird in interviews in the past. And she's married.

  13. It does say long running. Arrested Development doesn't qualify.

  14. I wouldn't say Arrested Development was a long running hit show. 3 seasons, right?

Who's "quirky"? Ima go with that chick on 24, don't know her name cuz I don't watch it...

  15. Mary Lynn-Rajskub from 24. A movie is in the cards and she's in since Season 2 or 3 (if I'm not mistaken).

  16. My first thought was Lisa Kudrow too, but I don't think they are going to do a friends movie... Unless it was "Forty Something Friends"...

Im going to go with the 24 guess. I don't know which actress, because I don't watch it, but it sounds good to me!!

  17. totally a shot in the dark, but is Jennifer Carpenter from Dexter considered "quirky?" i heard something a long while back about the possibility of a straight-to-DVD Dexter movie. she's married to Michael C Hall but that sounds like it would be a mega-awkward set. otherwise the only person i think of when i hear "quirky" is Busy Phillips, but Cougar Town hasn't been around long enough. aside from that i got nothin'.

  18. if not jennifer, then my next guess would be christina hendricks if anyone has heard of a Mad Men movie maybe coming out... just because she seems like a total sauce-pot. not married but has been engaged since early last year so maybe mistaken for married.

  19. What about Betty White to the Golden Girls creator?

  20. I would think that whoever the actress is, her role on the show-to-be-movie isn't a pivotal one, and so she is offering services in order to secure a spot on the film. Lisa Kudrow wouldn't need to screw someone to get into a Friends movie -- they'd want the original 6 actors. Same with Jennifer Carpenter and Dexter and Portia de Rossi and Arrested Development.

Who qualifies with these clues in a more "disposable" role?

  21. I just read that "Rome" movie might be in the works, but I'm not sure it was long running or had a "quirky" actress. (Plus Kevin McKidd is in the randoms). So it doesn't really fit.

  22. Katee isn't married. I'm pretty sure Mary Lynn isn't either.

I did think of Portia first. (Sorry, Portia.)

  23. Christina Hendricks, no. Just because she's built like a brick shit-house doesn't make her a sauce-pot. Also, she's a newlywed, and Mad Men hasn't been on the air that long.

  24. i didn't say she seemed such because of her figure. i actually had to look up "built like a brick shithouse" because it didn't sound anything like a compliment. and i've never seen Mad Men, so it was a completely wild and random guess along the "quirky" trail.

  26. Are they making a "Dallas" movie? Or am I confused with something else?
