Today's Blind Items
This former A list television actress is now a struggling C lister. She has tried absolutely everything to recapture the fame she once had. Nothing works and when she can find a job like her last television movie it bombs louder than a Nicole Kidman film. At this point she is so desperate she has basically abandoned her husband and child/ren and will go anywhere or talk to anyone to get some publicity. Over the past two months she has spent about two nights at home with her family despite not even doing any actual movie or television work.

ReplyDeleteI like the Debra Messing guess. Would Melissa Joan Hart be considered A-list. I like the guess and I know Sabrina the Teenage Witch was on for awhile and I used to LOVE Clarissa Explains It All but I think she would be more B list than A.

ReplyDeleteThat is incredibly messed up. I'll go with Melissa Joan Hart. Seems to fit like a glove and weren't there weird stories about her when she was at her peak? Like bragging about guys she slept with? I know I read that somewhere a while back. If this isn't her, I'll go with debra messing.

Melissa Joan Hart was in the tv movie "My Fake Fiance" with Joey Lawrence. I might be crazy but it was actually pretty cute.
ReplyDeleteWas Lisa Kudrow in any television movies? I can't think of any TV movies for her. She's has been doing Nintendo DS commercials, which puts her out there. Other than that, I think Debra Messing fits the clues better.

Lisa Kudrow just did that part in Cougar Town. Plus she just finished a movie and has another one coming up. Enty says this person hasn't done any work over the past two months. Plus she had that show The Comeback that even though it didn't do well in the ratings, critics loved so it didn't really bomb.

Melissa Joan Hart seems to have finished a couple of movies recently, but not sure how recently. She does have a least one somewhat recent Made for TV movie that I'm pretty sure must have bombed.
Melissa Joan Heart and Joey Lawrence are working on a pilot show called "Melissa and Joey", I remember reading about it online (possibly on this site) and I just checked IMDB to make sure I wasn't crazy.

ReplyDeleteAfter thinking about it I will go with Messing or Hart. Messing's show The Starter Wife failed and I haven't seen her do much since. Hart is always doing made for tv movies for lifetime, hallmark, etc. but I haven't seen her do much else since her show went off the air. I think it could be either of them.

She has only really done tv movies since leaving 90210, during which time she was A-list, and let's be honest, she's pretty much done everything she could to stay in the limelight what with reality shows, affairs, fights with her mother, etc. The woman is desperate.

ReplyDeleteLisa Kudrow actually keeps busy and has done some indy films and has lots of industry admirers. I think she works when she wants to and isn't really a struggling c lister.

Nancy Travis -- she starred in several successful sitcoms/movies back in the day & was just in that awful Lifetime Pregnancy Pact movie.

My first thought was Brooke Shields considering her Suddenly Susan tv show and all the Latisse and teeth whitening commercials...but not sure she was in any tv movie?

I'm also with the Messing guess. Melissa Joan Hart was out of the spotlight willingly for YEARS and she didn't seem to care a bit. Messing, however, has been striving to get back in the spotlight (and failing) since Will & Grace went off the air.

ReplyDeleteLin Nancy was on TV the last couple of years in the Bill Engvall Show and I don't think she ever got up to A list TV so she'd be out of the equation. Plus The Pregnancy Pact was a huge ratings winner for Lifetime.

I am leaning toward Messing because I think she was A-list T.V. and she has that desperation to be famous feel about her.

ReplyDeleteBrooke Shields, and IMO, Melissa Gilbert are permanent A-list. They are definite hall-of-famers, and both have managed to keep their careers going since early childhood (almost never happens).

Plus, as was said before, she pretty much 'retired' a few years, voluntarily, to enjoy her kids. Not her.

Remember they used to compare her to Lucille Ball, I remember her -acting- so humble and flummoxed when she was asked about it in an interview.
Messing also goes to all Red Carpets for no reason, and almost always without her husband, I think? Dear god, she attended last year's Oscars for some reason.
She is always gross and over done.
My last point about DM is that a coke habit is expensive.
It could be Debra Messing but Hordak mentioned Sarah Michelle Gellar, I like that guess. I remember a comment she made about Renee Zellweger re: Chicago, that she could sing and dance as well as anyone, if given lessons. SMG sounded angry and desperate.

I don't know what she's up to, but her last movie was ass. So, maybe. She was definitely A-List, but I don't know if she's a C now. She sure as hell isn't A anymore.

ReplyDeleteIcecat- SJP had twins via a surrogate right before the recent filming Sex & City 2 movie. There were blinds that she was barely spending enough time with them to bond which is wierd b/c as producer of Sex & City she had enough say to move the production / filming so she would have time with the babies and opted not to. But it cant be SJP b/c she is doing in work albeit bad movies but its still work.

ReplyDeleteI think Enty uses A list as relative to what area the star worked in, i.e. TV, Movies, Music. Sabrina was on for 7? years and MJH was the lead so I think A list for TV.
ReplyDeleteThe blind doesn't really say what bad behavior is going on, but the insinuation is the person is not away from home simply for "business" reasons. If she was simply going after parts and taking normal business meetings would it even be blind worthy? Remember the blind that was likely Gretchen Moll and how she had sex with Harvey Weinstein just in the hopes of getting an intro for work? I would think this is somewhere along the same lines.
I channel surfed onto that "My Fake Fiance" and gave it 1 1/2 minutes before I went "UGH!" and went elsewhere.

She's had failed show after failed show (and movies). Her TV Movie which turned into a series was a huge bomb.

Keri hasn't been in any recent TV movies according to IMDB, and her films have been relatively successful (August Rush, Waitress).
