Today's Blind Items
Do you remember when Britney Spears had her issues a couple of years ago she took a pap along with her for the ride? Well, this very troubled C list movie actress with A list name recognition is doing the same thing. Although in this case it appears the actress is the bad influence. She has been accompanied many nights by a pap who is a minor and who she is getting into clubs even though he isn't old enough. Oh, and if that were not bad enough she is also his drug supplier. Guess she doesn't want to hit rock bottom alone.

ReplyDeleteYou know, I almost feel thoughtless posting this comment, but are we perhaps a little too concerned with the innocent goodhearted pillars of society known as paparazzi? Their upstanding and highly moral conduct? Their integrity and honesty, their decency, their strict ethics? Could we tone back a little on pretending that they're not vultures, hey, a little?

ReplyDeleteI really think that the clubs serving underage patrons are much more at fault than someone who was as a child served alcohol by those clubs. Why don't the authorities crack down on clubs that serve minors?

ReplyDeleteAn underage drinker could be as old as 20. And I know it's easy to forget but Lilo herself is only just slightly older than that. (It seems like she's maybe 24, though she comes off as a haggard 47.) So given her pattern with her sister and the fact she's still that young too, I could totally see her doing this

lindsay, lindsay.... bring back your self respect and ditch the self-hatred. PLEASE! she's getting too far into it and it is sad sad sad.....

Like I said, my observation was probably thoughtless, but when young people get together to do drugs, lots of ethical considerations go out the window. Would the world really be better if underaged paparazzi were required to purchase their own drugs using contacts that were certified to be celebrity-free? All drug users are pursuing a dark end, and for me the details don't matter much. Clean up, drug users.

ReplyDelete@ Barton Fink - supply and demand has created these paparazzi "vultures". I'm not defending their intrusive behavior, but you can't buy an Enquirer, or In Touch, view photos on gossip blogs and pretend that you are outraged by their behavior. They offer their services because of OUR demand.

Agreed, it's a little hypocrytical for someone posting on a celebrity gossip website to be criticizing the paps that supply the pics and video for that site, and many others.
ReplyDeleteThis kid is 16?! Try to remember when you were 16 how easily influenced you would have been if a 23 year old celebrity started taking you out with them. There is a HUGE difference between 16 and 23, well there should be in terms of maturity. But there definitely is in terms of brain development. 16 year olds do not have the brain development required to be able to completely map out consequences of their actions. This is why they are not allowed to drink, vote, smoke, and they should have to get their parents permission to go out. They just can't make decisions the way you or I can.
Linsday should be charged with endangering the welfare of a minor, or contributing to the deliquency of a minor for both this kid and her sister. And she should be locked up in psyc ward.

I suspect that I can address issues relating to the paparazzi in spite of the fact that I post on this board. I mean, it's just bizarre to say that because! I come to this website, I can't have any morals or standards. Maybe that's how you live your life, but sheez, lady, you ain't everyone. Thanks for the "hypocritical" slur, though.
ReplyDeleteWe have definitely done this to ourselves. We demand, they supply. If there's a mistress, we pay the whore. If there's a photo, someone will get it. In this day and age, we reward the underbelly. After seeing what we, as a culture, have done to child stars, we shouldn't be surprised by the underbelly we cultivated. Their age, (they always get younger, because younger has the edge) tactics, or that parents will sacrifice them for the mighty dollar. Sad, but we are to blame.

OK folks this has to be Betty White. I think we finally have that Betty White connection here. The other names I could list here as remote chances would be, Gloria Stuart, definitely Debbie Reynolds or Elaine Stritch. Could be Debbie Reynolds rather than Betty because Betty is really busy lately and Debbie is lying around naked on bear rugs from what I hear all the time.
