These now middle-aged celebs met while working on a project when they were just kids. They allegedly slept together back then and carried on a relationship under the radar. To this day, not many people know they had a relationship. What is even less known is that there was a terminated pregnancy that resulted from the love affair. As far as we know, the two have had little contact since.

ReplyDeleteI think Funicello and Avalon are beyond middle-aged. I do like the Judd Nelson/Molly Ringwald one, although there are other guys who co-starred with Molly in her heyday who would also fit.

Is "kids" a clue, like from the movie "kids"? Chloe Sevigny and someone? I don't think Chloe Sevigny is middle-aged though. I'm way older than she is and I'm barely middle-aged.

I'm going to go out on a limb and mention someone no one else has . . . how about Charlie Sheen and Jennifer Grey? Ooh, or maybe Jennifer and Ferris himself, Matthew Broderick (gay rumours withstanding). Maybe his ongoing thing with her is what kept him dragging his feet with SJP.

She just stopped being his muse one day -- that would certainly do it. If he had her on a pedestal that might knock her down in his eyes. Although, he also seemed like a good guy, so that harsh reaction would be surprising . . .

Winona is late 30s/early 40s. Middle-aged is always twenty years older than you are. Until you're fifty. Very few people live to be 140.

ReplyDeleteband--Actually, at that point in time Michael was still more-or-less bi (IIRC, the most prominent girl in the video for "The One I Love" was an ex of his), and I have it on reasonably good authority that they were indeed involved, to the point that she was downright obsessed w/him. Somehow, though, I don't see Natalie aborting his baby; more likely, she would have used a kid to hang on to him, so I doubt they're the answer to the blind. (As a friend once put it about another woman doing just that, "Why don't you just name the kid Crowbar & have done with it?")

Just as a wild guess, I'm going to throw Kristy McNichol & Tatum O'Neal in the ring (um, not together, obviously...). So who were some young actors & actresses who worked together then, but weren't known for having a relationship?

Everyone knew they were together anyway, so regardless of age, it's not them.
@ Green Wave Gal - The US life expectancy is about 80 for women and 75 for men - that makes exactly 40 and 37.5 "middle age" and I believe Johnny Depp is about 10 years beyond that. I personally think of 45 as middle aged - maybe because most in my family live into their 90s, but in no way is Johnny Depp anything younger than middle aged and Winona is right there too.
