Four For Friday

#1 - This very aging, fantastic actor who has had some great roles in great movies, but has never really been more than B- list, was caught by flight attendants while he was, umm being handled by his assistant on a recent flight.

#2 & #3 & #4- This Academy Award winner/nominee actress recently sold her wedding ring to pay off gambling debts of one of her children. She told her A list movie actor husband she had lost the ring because he told her not to help this child anymore who she had with another celebrity.

  1. For some reason Sean Connery popped into my head for number 1.

  2. Never mind... I doubt he would be considered B- list, right. Certainly he must be A.

    1. al pacino?

    2. no idea.

    ReplyDelete
  4. 1 - Donald Sutherland?

2 - Melanie Griffith, Antonio Banderes, and Don Johnson (Dakota Johnson)

    ReplyDelete
  5. Maybe Zeta-Jones & Michael Douglass (oops, not correcting spelling error) for 2,3,4. I know MD has older kids with problems, right?

    ReplyDelete
  6. Cecilia, I was thinking Melanie and Banderas, but Steven Bauer instead of Don Johnson (they have a son, Alexander Bauer, born in 1985).

    ReplyDelete
  7. scratch my idea--just re-read blind.

    ReplyDelete
  8. 1 - For some reason I'm thinking Bruce Campbell?

2- I think Melanie Griffith et al is a fab guess

    ReplyDelete
  9. Is Antonio A-list?

    ReplyDelete
  10. 1. Christopher Walken?

    2. Melanie Griffith/Antonio Banderas/her kid with Don Johnson

    ReplyDelete
  11. I thought of Michael Caine for the first one. Melanie, Antonio and Stephen Bauer sounds about right for the other guesses.

    ReplyDelete
  12. I think Jennifer's right - Antonio can't possibly be A-List.

If Christopher Walken was never considered more than B-, I think I'll cry.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Kelly, I thought of Michael Caine, too! LOL

    ReplyDelete
  14. I think Michael Caine is A list. But for some reason, Ian McKellan popped into my head for number 1.

As for 2 3 and 4 it could be anyone really.

    ReplyDelete
  15. I think of Antonio as A List due to his involvement in the Spy Kids franchise about 10 years ago.

    ReplyDelete
  16. My first thought for #1 was Walken also.

    ReplyDelete
  17. #1 could be lots of older actors. I'd hesitate to even guess.

#2,3, and 4 - I don't think Antonio Banderas would be considered A-list. However, I agree with her husband, whoever he is. If her kid has a gambling problem, then it has to be treated like any other addictive behavior. Paying off his debts enables him/her to continue along this destructive path. Of course I'm sure she saved her child a beating from his/her bookie. Temporarily. In a few weeks the kid will be in the same mess again.

  18. Why has this site been hijacked by these stupid ads with sound that run several at once? It is impossible to keep coming back here and I love this site. Come on, I can't be the only one who finds this impossible to deal with. WTF

    ReplyDelete
  19. Oh, another thought. I think the father of the child might be a singer or athlete because of the wording this child "she had with another celebrity." He didn't say with another actor.

    ReplyDelete
  20. RQ, I have plenty of friends who would LOVE to "handle" Bruce!

    ReplyDelete
  21. 1# ian mckellen? "lord of the rings" "X men" movies...
2# i don't know even if Melanie Griffiths may be a good guess but Antonio Banderas isn't a A list actor,he's B/B+ list for me and she has money!

    ReplyDelete
  22. I think I'm going to change my user name to 'Please Make The Ads Go Away!' ;) Although, today I haven't gotten any of the ones with sound yet, thank goodness.

    ReplyDelete
  23. #1 Is Gene Hackman A list? In my opinion, he should be....but I'll go with him, just because he's my favorite actor of all time and think he is really underrated.

    #2 Mel and Co

    ReplyDelete
  24. For some reason Peter O'Toole popped into my head when i read the first blind.

I agree that Melanie Griffith is an excellent guess for #2

    ReplyDelete
  25. But Mooshki - aren't you Enty?! In which case, why can't you change the ads yourself? Haha.

    ReplyDelete
  26. 2,3&4# diane lane, josh brolin and her Christophe lambert's daughter?
i know she only has one kid but in my opinion,Brolin is more A list than Banderas!

    ReplyDelete
  27. @Pomme: McKellan was my first guess for #1 as well. Isn't his current boyfriend about a third of his age?

    ReplyDelete
  28. wow, i have no idea..but i like pomme's comments
    #|ian mckellen
2,3&4# diane lane, josh brolin and her Christophe lambert's daughter

    ReplyDelete
  29. Stacy, probably you were being serious, but Peter O'Tool(e) is a funny guess for all sorts of reasons ;)

    ReplyDelete
  30. just can't be walken. i thought of him until i saw the B- part. he's a legendary actor. he could never be B-.

and banderas is not A list, either.

    ReplyDelete
  31. #1 - For some reason, I was thinking of Harry Dean Stanton (Cool Hand Luke, Kelly's Heroes, Pat Garrett and Billy The Kid, The Godfather Part II, Alien, Private Benjamin, Escape from New York, Christine, Repo Man, Paris, Texas, Wild At Heart, The Pledge), then I checked and noticed he was already 83.

It must be some great character actor such as John Hurt (70) or M. Emmet Walsh (75).

    ReplyDelete
  32. clueless on the guesses. just wanted to say the ads never bother me. i keep my computer muted. breezy.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I am just surprised the Academy award winner doesn't have any cash of her own, unless she hasn't worked in quite a bit. Makes me believe it may be someone older for that reason.

    ReplyDelete
  34. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH ENTY...

I've been coming here for over a year now...

    I've directed others here...

I'm all for Enty making a buck...but not at the expense of everyone here...

I've had ad's running Non Stop and its frustrating...

I'll be going to celebslam and what would tyler durden do until ENTY & CDAN get it fixed.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Jack Nicholson was my first thought for #1, although he's definitely A list.

I hate the ads, too >:O

    ...

    ReplyDelete
  36. Bruce Campbell is very ageing? I don't think so.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Demi Moore and co for the second one? Only because I, spitefully, love the notion of Rumer "Ms Potatohead" being a fan of the geegees.

    ReplyDelete
  38. The popups are more than annoying. I thought I wouldn't be able to access the site yesterday.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I'm so glad I'm not the only one pissed about the ads. I've just about given up coming here - I'll stick with other sites from here on out. If there is a good blind Michael K will post it on dlisted.

    ReplyDelete
  40. I never chime in but I hate the obnoxious ads, too. As others suggested, I added noscript to firefox but then when I go onto a website for legitimate work purposes - it's blocking script and pop ups that I need to actually work.

Also, the posts haven't been that great lately. Just sayin'...step up the content to make it worth putting up with the ads.

    ReplyDelete
  41. F. Murray Abraham. Great actor, aging, had a role in The Fantasticks.

BTW: it's been mentioned but run the NoScript plugin and no more problems with this or other much more malicious websites.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Agree on declining quality of posts - almost like someone else is writing them? And WAAAAAAY too many photos.

As for the obnoxious ads, I use Firefox and have never seen (or heard!) these.

    ReplyDelete
  43. I just wanted to ad my voice to the other "down with the video ads" comments. I use Apple Safari for the PC as my browser so I have no way of avoiding them. Surely there are static ads for these same products that can be used.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I don't see any obnoxious ads. I use Firefox with Adblock Plus, Adblock Plus Filter Updater, and Adblock Plus Element Hiding Helper add-ons. No other ad blocking or script blocking add-ons or software.

I hate IE, not because of the ads, but because my computer picks up so much crap when I use it. With FF + ABP, I run AV/malware/spyware finder programs and they hardly ever find anything. With IE, they find a LOT.

    ReplyDelete
  45. And, honestly, I come here for the photos, so I don't think there are too many at all.

    ReplyDelete
  46. did anyone say cary elwes for #1? because yeah, he's the first that popped into my mind. now i have to read 2,3,4. :D

    ReplyDelete
  47. Give Enty a break. I've noticed all of the gossip sites are boring lately because just maybe there really isn't any hot gossip to report of late.

In regards to the noisy ads is it possible to mute the sound when you come to this site while at work and then turn it back on once you leave the site?

    ReplyDelete
  48. Okay, I defended the ads a couple days ago. What was I thinking? They are fucking annoying. There's got to be a better way to make a few bucks on your blog than run those ear-blasting, eye-popping, obnoxious things.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Okay, I ranted - but I'll still mute and visit the site.

I like Ian McKellan and the Melanie Griffith/Antonio Banderas/son from that guy other than Don Johnson guess. I believe 'Spy Kids' and 'Zorro' have put Antonio on the A List.

    ReplyDelete
  50. I use Google Chrome and have never seen an ad.

    ReplyDelete
  51. I've never seen an ad on this site, but I'm sorry for the folks that do - it is super annoying when that happens. I use Firefox and AdBlockerPlus and I'm golden.

Back on topic - I was thinking Ian McKellen for #1. For #2,3,4, man I feel like that could be Melanie Griffith, but I'm not sure on that one.

    ReplyDelete
  52. This comment has been removed by the author.

  53. Ads are gone! WOO HOO!!! THANK YOU ENTY!!! I knew you'd fix this as soon as you had time. ♥

    ReplyDelete
  54. I use Google Chrome and could not block, or stop, the ads. Three or four would run sound all at once and lock up my computer. Glad to see they're not running this evening. Thank you.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Cary Elwes? The blind says very aging.

The ads were annoying so I took care of it. I have firefox so I installed the adblock ad on under tools. Now there are no pop ups or audio ads.

Now listening to everyone complain is JUST as annoying. I didn't complain before I just solved my problem and it worked. Every that keeps complaining each day isn't fixing anything and nothing is being fixed for them.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Maybe it's awful to say so, but Dennis Hopper popped into my head for #1.

    ReplyDelete
  57. fantastic makes me think fantastic 4 so I'm going with The Thing, or M. Chicklass however you spell it.

2,3,4 seems easy given they are all A list. But, I can't figure it out.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Thanks for the heads up Rose. I installed it in my Firefox too.

#1 - how about Pierce Brosnan?

    ReplyDelete
  59. Absolutely don't even care what the "real" answer is...tonight in my dream it is gonna be Bruce Campbell in the starring role and me as the assistant....

    ALSO

Absolutely don't even care what the "real" answer is....tonight in my 2nd dreams it is gonna be Richard Dean Anderson in the starring role and me assistant....

    AND

...Absolutely don't even care what the "real" answer is....tonight in my 3rd dreams it is gonna be......

    .......Imma stop talking now.....

    :)

    ReplyDelete
  60. ALSO

I have got to stop posting after 4 drinks.....

    ReplyDelete
  61. To everyone that is pointing fingers @ Mooshki, Jax, etc......are you friends w/ Enty on Facebook? The comments have really gotten under my skin lately......if you don't like it, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!!! And yes, I am yelling at you!!!! I have been around since day 1.....have chosen not to post at certain times.....but come on people.....this constant "harping" on Enty has got to STOP!!!!!!
He has started and maintained a blog that we all love......completely different from "Perez" & "Lainey"....if you don't want to come here........THEN DON"T!!!!!!! I am SOOO FUCKING sick of seeing people posting about the"ads"........well....fucking MUTE , people!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And if you can't "mute" b/c you listen to music...well fuck you! PLEASE!!!! This is a person who is writing a blog for OUR enjoyment!!!! Who knows what he/she is, or what they do!!!!! If you don't want to deal...don't COME HERE!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  62. can we just make one post RE the ads and then everyone can cry and whine about the ads there? just cuz you don't want to put up with the ads, doesn't mean we all have to hear it in every. single. post.

as for the blind, no idea about #1 but #23&4 sounds more like czj and co. antonio banderas fits but is faaarrrr from a list

    ReplyDelete
  63. Ms. Leigh........I am pretty much drunk.....I don't sugarcoat...I just say it like I see it,.............Thank you! Enty needs some backing.........

    ReplyDelete
  64. It's okay, peeps, Enty pulled the ads, so we can all get along in peace and harmony again! LOL

It's the weekend, so everyone forget the stress and get your fun on! Woo hoo!!!

    ReplyDelete
  65. #1 - no idea

#2,3,4 - I like Melanie Griffith and co. (can't be Zeta-Jones as she was never married/had no kids before Douglas, and the blind clearly states that the actress had a child with another celebrity).

    ReplyDelete
  66. I don't think Banderas is A list, A list name recognition maybe but def not A list.

    ReplyDelete
  67. TO ALL YOU WHO DON'T GET THE ADS, CONGRATULATIONS AND FUCK YOU. YOU HAVE NO IDEA. AND DEITY2, GET A FUCKING LIFE.

    ReplyDelete
  68. wow, a lot of hostility there, tmpr!I hope its the ads really getting to you, and not you being a rude person in general.

    Antonio is A list, right?

    ReplyDelete
  69. I've been thinking for about 6 months that Enty sold this site to someone much younger and less well connected. Now the gossip is all about much younger nobodies from obscure sitcoms, not about anybody who matters. This site isn't written with Enty's flair, either. It's too bad. This was a great place for a while.

    ReplyDelete
  70. I agree, Sue. I think Enty has left the building. Maybe he consults, but he doesn't write it anymore. His personality just isn't there like it was before.

That doesn't mean I don't still visit everyday, but it's sad that he's absent.

    ReplyDelete
  71. I don't think it's Enty's fault, I think celeb gossip has been in a slump since the Britney meltdown. Love her or hate her, I think Lady Gaga is the only one really vitalizing pop culture right now. As non-stop as she is, she needs some help from a few other compelling nut jobs!

    ReplyDelete
  72. Love the site, muted the ads, read the site when I get home from work... and take mute off if I need to.

    ReplyDelete
  73. 1 .. Patrick Stewart or Ian McKellen .. if Patrick .. the assistant will be female .. if Ian the assistant will be a sexy boy toy.

2,3,4 - Totally Melanie, Antonio (Hello? "Tie Me Up Tie Me Down," "Philadelphia," Spy Kids ouvre .. before Melanie started "Dorian Grey'ing him .. he was hot man and a hot actor. Check out as recently as 2001's "Original Sin" .. he is def A list) Dakota and Don Johnson.

    ReplyDelete
  74. 1-It pains me to guess this, but William H. Macy?

    ReplyDelete
  75. George Jefferson the guy who played Sherman Hemsley on the Hemsley's. Either him or JJ Dynamite Walker.

    ReplyDelete
  76. I'm sorry but I consider Ian McKellen A list. Franchise with X-Men, and LOTR.. Def. A list.

I have no clue on the guesses.

I am so sick of everyone bitching about the ads. I'm not at work, so I cannot tell if the ads are gone (I'm on my mac), thanks for the info Mooshki. BUT STILL get with the program people. We discussed the ads two blinds ago. Jeez get over it or go home!! It is what it fucking is. Take it or leave it, but stop filling our blinds with this fucking bitching!!

    ReplyDelete
  77. Well, I agree with everyone. The ads are very annoying, AND people need to get over it. On the other hand, they're not that annoying, and people are right to call attention to it. Just, wow, let's love each other more -- we're all kind of similar, aren't we, with the same taste for gossip and blinds? I've snapped at people on this site before and then regretted it, so I just want to say thanks to everyone for being here.

On the alt.gossip.celebrities boards, they're fingered (pun intended) F. Murray Abraham as a likely candidate, though I don't know what reasoning they're using.

    ReplyDelete
  78. And yes, I had to look him up -- the name didn't ring a bell, but as soon as I saw his face I was like: true, he's a "very aging, fantastic acros who has had some great roles in great movies but has never been more than B."

    ReplyDelete
  79. @Barton - Thanks for the nice post! I totally snapped at everyone on my last post, and almost immediately regretted it. That's what I get for posting after a couple of cocktails :)

If I did offend anybody, I'm sorry.

    ReplyDelete
  80. I'm totally on board with the F. Murray Abrahim guess!

    ReplyDelete
  81. How about Bernard Hill who played King Theoden in Lord of the Rings?

    ReplyDelete
  82. I don't know why so many of you think Antonio Banderas is not A List. He most certainly is A List. I'm not a fan or anything, but he just is A List whether you like him or not. He just hasn't done much in awhile.

    Anyway, here's a link & a snippet about it:

"It was only a matter of time before his name was on the Hollywood A-list, a position earned through films such as Philadelphia, Desperado and The Mask Of Zorro. He even played opposite his previous "co-star", Madonna, in Evita."

    http://www.hellomagazine.com/profiles/antonio-banderas/

    ReplyDelete
  83. I'm only 28, but I find it vaguely disturbing that anyone would consider Ian Mckellan anything but A+ list. What alternate universe do some of you live in?

    ReplyDelete
