Madonna & Ellen Are Cousins

No, this is not a joke for April Fools Day. Unlike the rumor that In-N-Out was opening a New York City location, this story happens to be true. Ancestry.com has discovered that Madonna and Ellen are cousins. If you go way, way back the pair share a 10th great-grandfather. Martin Aucoin of France - whose daughters immigrated to Nova Scotia, Canada in the early 1600s. It is kind of interesting that both were born the same year and go by one name and are strong women who became famous. Plus, I can kind of see the resemblance. Should be one hell of a family reunion.

  8. I think the resemblance may be due to the same plastic surgeon.

  9. There is a form of civilization without In-n-Out? That's just obscene.

As for Madonna and Ellen, I'm 10th cousin with about 3/4s of Appalachia and half of the UK but I'm still pretty dull.

  10. In n out is a family run business, not a Dow Jones corporation trying to maximize profits. They are expanding but slowly to maintain top quality and freshness. The company has also struggled with family leadership the last few years, it's now run by the granddaughter.

Gotta come west for your fix!

  11. @amazonblue, didn't half the family get taken out in a plane crash or something? In-n-Out is a thing of the church here in southern California so I remember it being talked about at the time.
