Those Fargin Bastages

Producer Jerry Weintraub was on The View this morning. As usual, Jerry was not shy about sharing his opinions. The biggest one? Despite being the producer of this years Karate Kid, Jerry says he didn't want to do it. He thought the franchise was great as it was and he didn't want to ruin it. The only reason he agreed to produce the movie was because Will Smith wouldn't stop hounding him about it and Will wanted something for Jaden to star in. Jerry told Will that it would be bad for Karate Kid and ultimately bad for Jaden's career but Jerry finally caved. Oh Jerry. You should have stuck to your guns. As soon as I can find a video clip of the show I will post it. The 80's. Being decimated one movie at a time. No one better touch the movie to which I refer in my headline. No one messes with Johnny Dangerously.

(Thanks jax)

My mother hung me on a hook once... ONCE.

It's an 88 magnum... it shoots through schools.

  2. I worked for Richard Dimici (Moronie) in the 80's and this is one of my favorite movies -- Lord, please don't remake it, it's perfect.

HATE all the remakes. HATE THEM!

I know this smacks of pedophilia, but isn't that pose a little revealing? Probably I shouldn't have noticed. Ignore me.

  11. How can Will Smith have this much power, his movies are about as good a Tom Cruise's? Interesting fact about Jaden, Will and his wife don't think education is important so his kids are barely educated except for the school *CO$* they started. Jayden can't read. I can appreciate wanting to ensure your child had a profession where he could make big money with little or no education but come on Jerry. Thanks for posting a very disturbing photo of that kid, I am trying to figure out if a brain bleach will work or if I have to get my whole brain removed.

Jerry knows the dirt one everyone, especially Clooney and Julia Roberts, I doubt he sell out his friends but what a book that would be if he did!

  12. Zandra, (Jaden can't read) seriously? OMG, why would you intentionally educationally cripple your child like that?! Even if he became an actor, he wouldn't be able to read his contract or script. They could stipulate they're gonna pay him in Scooby Snacks (dog cookies) and he'd never know until the Purina truck showed up to unload! WOW.

  17. I love Johnny Dangerously, too. I really love Tom Hanks, but I watched "The Man with One Red Shoe" the other day, and thought Michael Keaton would have made that movie better.

Also, I love Jerry Weintraub in general. He's so rich and successful and old that he no longer feels the need to keep his mouth shut. Keep talking, Jerry!! We are listening.

I read today that they are redoing "Fright Night". WTF!! I love that movie. Leave it alone.

  18. That Jaden publicity still was probably hand-picked by his sex-blabbing mother... already starting the "he is hot" train for whatever CO$ future is in store. Just like she brags about her sex life with Will, you know she will say something inappropriate about her son's level of hotness/endowment. Just wait.

Zandra, is the "Jaden can't read" tale true???

  19. We saw this Still a while back and everyone noticed the kid's "package". I had hopes that they would have provided another Still of the movie or corrected this one after all this time.

How ignorant and disrespectful to children to keep it there as a conversation piece.

The Smiths are the kind of family that you would be better off not knowing. That's the only way I can find them attractive.

Oh and Will probably wore Jerry down because he's box office gold.
