Dr. Phil Is An Idiot

Imagine that you had your very own talk show which reached millions of people everyday. Because you are a pet lover you decide to do a show on animals. Abuse of animals and also people who help animals. You think to yourself that having a celebrity come on and bring their pets would be a great idea too. You are big enough that you can have any celebrity you want. Do you pick Sandra Bullock? Nope, can't do that because of well, you know. How about Bob Barker or Betty White? They are huge pet lovers who are well respected. Nope, not them either. Hmm, well how about Katherine Heigl who devotes hundreds of hours and thousands upon thousands of dollars in her crusade? Nope. Not her either.

Well, if you are Dr. Phil he decided that the person he wanted to speak out for animals, was Paris Hilton. Yep. The woman who doesn't even know how many dogs she has. The woman who showed up on Dr. Phil and didn't look like she had ever met the dogs she claimed were hers. The same woman who once had 18 dogs which was a violation. A woman who has been accused by her staff of putting her pets in cupboards when they become too much to handle and have her staff deal with them instead.

Paris Hilton has been repeatedly accused of abusing her pets. She must have thought she died and went to heaven when Dr. Phil came calling and said they wanted to honor her for her work with animals. Seriously? Has anyone at Dr. Phil heard of Google? Google Paris Hilton and animal abuse and see how many hits you get.

Dr. Phil should be ashamed for having Paris on to be the pet's champion.

(Thanks Brittany)

  1. She probably paid him. I think I read somewhere that she pays Ted C. to report on her.

  4. Dr. Phil has been a quack masquerading as an expert for ages. I don't get why people actually watch his show.

  5. Why is she telling people not to buy dogs from a pet store? She's been papped at pet shops bringing home another animal dozens of times.

I do have to say, though, that this is the least annoying I have ever seen her.

  6. What a great decision Dr. Phil - I don't think she cares about her pets, she has them like an accessory.

  7. I can't believe people still watch this "doctor".

  8. Perfect timing. Dr. Phil is seeking people in denial that need a wake up call to be on his show.

I went ahead and nominated HIM for his jackassery of using Paris Hilton in his animal abuse show.

    Fucktard.

  9. This makes me sick. People like Paris Hilton who parade around with animals like they are the latest Louis Vuitton purse should never be called a champion for animal rights. This is like saying Tiger is, well, a champion for observing marriage vows.

  10. Thank you for writing about this, Ent! This has been bugging me since I saw the Dr. Phil preview where Paris says "why would someone be cruel to animals? It makes me want to slap them". Slap your own ugly mug, Paris!

I wish someone who knows more about her mistreatment of animals could speak up, and take Parasite down for good!

  11. Haha Enty! I was JUST ranting about this to Jax yesterday! I LOVE Rescue Ink and I love that Dr. Phil is disgusted by animal abuse (the wider audience, the better), but I was flabbergasted by Paris being there. That girl has never even BEEN to a shelter, is my guess, and the word is she's had pets actually DIE because of neglect. She's known for purchasing the flavour of the month "hip" pet and abandoning it when she gets bored.
This show would have been a helluva lot more convincing had the Parasite not been there.

  12. I don't get it,why can't he you Sandra Bullock?

  13. Dr Phil isn't even allowed to practice psychiatry anymore. How he's an expert on experts is beyond me.

  14. Cindy, just because she isn't doing any public appearances right now.

  15. Loving that there is a lot of recognition for animal abuse in the posts today. Paris was one of the people who started chihuahua fever in Southern California (when she carried Tinkerbell as an accessory) and Katherine Heigl is one of the people helping clean that mess up.

  16. @Cindy

because she has been keeping a low profile since the whole jesse/mistress dibacle

I can't stand Phil and don't understand why he is even called "Dr". Thought he didn't have a license.

  18. i watched the entire show because recsue ink was one.
they are a great bunch of guys who even answer their own email, wish their show was still on.
to have paris on was complete idiocy. she commented that "cocker spaniels make great dogs".
and phil never was a psychiatrist, he was a supposed psychologist (or maybe just a counselor!), but yeah, i heard he's not licensed to practice in california and/or his home state (texas?) either.
    big FAIL "dr" phil.

  19. I ordered a shirt from Rescue Ink back in February (actually, it was my request for V-day from my bf) and when it got lost in the mail, Joe Panz himself personally emailed me, got on the case, and I had it within 1 day. They rule, for everything they do.

  20. Idiots, both. All of her pets come from pet stores AKA puppy mills. She needs to just go away.

  21. I remember Ted C. having a blind vice a few years back about an heiress who had so many dogs that she would lock them in her closet and the maids would find them weeks later, DEAD FROM STARVATION.

I always thought the Blind was about Paris Hilton. Sad.

  22. thank you for bringing up that blind monica, cuz i thought at some point it WAS confirmed that she was the owner of the dead dog.

it's absolutely disgusting that he'd have her on his show, but not that surprising considering he lost credibility years ago. nobody turns to him for legit advice on what to do, more like what NOT to do!

  23. I know I'm late to the game here, but I seem to remember a comment once (from Dr. Phil?) that he and his wife are friendly with Kathy and Rick Hilton...that's probably where the hook up happened. He isn't going to tell his friends that their daughter is the biggest loser around. He should, but he won't.

  24. LOL Love the rant, Enty!

Who the hell actually watches Dr. Phil? He is a moron.

How about actually featuring non-celebs that do work for animals? Like the people at the Best Friends Sanctuary or the like?

  25. This? Is bullshit. I know one of the people who was a producer on the first season of The Simple Life. She dumped Tinkerbell into her her lap and said she'd was going away for a couple of days. She was gone for THREE MONTHS. She had to buy everything for the dog because Paris left nothing for its care. She finally dropped it off at Paris' manager's office because she had to go to another job and Paris showed no interest in claiming her. She was never reimbursed by Paris' people for Tinkerbell's upkeep.

Paris Hilton talking about animal care and responsibility is like BP talking about fuel safety.
