#1 & #2 & #3 - Jackass - This B-/C+ list actor is the co-star on a network show with lots of firepower, but has been struggling ratings wise. Despite the rumors that our actor is having a fling with his A list actress co-star, the ratings continue to slump. Anyway, not too long ago our actor was in a bar with a friend. Two women came up to our actor to tell him they were fans. The actor turned to them and said, "Don't even talk to me unless you are going to show me your t**s." As he said this he started fondling one of the women between her legs. The actor's friend then apologized and said the actor was drunk and didn't mean it. Our actor then said he meant every word and that the two women should go back to his place with him for a threesome or leave him alone.

ReplyDeleteLauryn Hill has had some real problems with substance abuse and mental health issues so she is my guess. Maybe Erikah Badu or Macy Gray though I don't think they've had had enough decent hits but they do bring the crazy.

Cheryl, Lauren is a good guess but I don't know if she's considered B list. The only thing she's done in the last five to ten years is behaved crazy. That'll drop you down to Z list real fast.

Only problem is there's no A-list actress on the show. Would Tatum O'Neal qualify as A-List? She's no longer on there though.

Despite her nails-on-chalkboard voice, I think Rhianna is A-list R and B. I think Lauryn Hill would be described fomer-A, because back during the Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, she was really highly regarded and she won a ton of major Grammys for that album.
Cougar Town is funny if you view it as satire. It's loosely based on the area around where I grew up, and it's far more accurate than I'd like to admit, even down to the inexplicable mixture of put-together, plastic surgeried women, rednecks, rich trust-fund types and people with white trash backgrounds all running in the same social circles.

ReplyDeleteNo offense to anyone, but it starts getting sketchy when "reader-submitted" blinds are posted as truth. That's one of the ways Blind Gossip got caught making up stuff. But regardless, people are going to exaggerate and people are going to go out of their way to make it sound worse if they feel they were slighted. Don't like these kind as much as the ones leaked by assistants and insiders.

I watch Cougartown. I find it funny. The son and the neighbor's husband never fail to give a good performance. This is a show that celebrates filling a wine glass to the brim. Who can argue with that? LOL

Only thing is, they are playing a Greatest American Hero marathon instead. ASSHOLES! Who the hell wants to watch that? First unemployment, now this? 2010 can SUCK IT. Hopefully 2011 is better and I can ring it in reading reveals and watching the Twilight Zone marathon. Then all will be right in the world.

Many years ago, I was newly dating my now husband and in the small world of restaurant business one of the servers at the place where I worked used to work with my bf. WOW! That is awesome, I can cut through some of the new bf-put-on and see how he really is with an old friend. Me and the old friend went to my boyfriend's bar. All was well and good for the first half hour, but turns out the "old friend" was an alki and must have damaged his liver beyond all repair because in no time he was smashed and went to the corner of my bf's bar and PEED IN THE CORNER! I was mortified and didn't want anyone to think that I came with the guy. We called him a cab and got him the eff out of there.
I hope Enty is mindful of the fact that there are some people who frequent the gossip sites who are prone to feed bad blinds to some of the bloggers. They start out as being rather mundane and believable, but it's the really delicious (but fake) stuff that is liable to take a blogger down. Just sayin'.

I'm glad you brought the subject up, because I think it's interesting, and important to question what we read. MadLyb's comment also gave me food for thought.
ReplyDeleteLately I've been thinking in particular about the Kristin Cavallari drug rumors that were posted both here and on other gossip sites. After watching 'The Hills," I think there's a good chance the whole thing was made up to get the show publicity.
I find it almost as much fun to talk about the nature of gossip and celebrity as to talk about the gossip itself, so I hope the subject comes up again often, and I hope we continue to have disagreements, because it's more fun that way and more educational. :)

ReplyDeleteRight, it's good to question things and not just follow blindly, so when someone puts a differing opinion out there cause they don't believe what's being fed to them, leave it alone. Not everyone has to blindly believe what random people on a celeb gossip blog say about celebrities. If that works for you, great, it doesn't work for everyone.
Also, I didn't take it as a personal attack, I just got annoyed cause what happened to Jessica and her opinion, happens frequently. If this blog is meant for only a handful of people to comment, then Ent should let everyone know, and people won't come here anymore. Easy peasy.

I mostly keep my mouth shut about that kind of stuff, but last night I wasn't having it. It just sucks that a certain kind of mentality takes over here sometimes, and ruins the fun for everyone else.
This is not something that only I see, and am being all crazy about either; I would just rather post it here, than the site that is dedicated to calling out Ent.

Bunny, I really like 'Parenthood' too. Dax Shepard in particular surprised me with how good he is. It's a little sappy, but in a good way that makes you feel like hugging your family when the show is over. :)

If we didn't disagree with each other and challenge each other's guesses, we'd have a lot harder time figuring out the answers to the blinds! I don't know of any regulars who haven't admitted they made a boneheaded guess at least once, and for most of us there have been many. I know I often say things like "I don't think Enty would call xxx B-list" and then I get proven wrong the next round of reveals. As the saying goes: "opinions are like assholes - everyone has one. :)
