Four For Friday - Some Old Hollywood

Sunday is the big reveal day. It will start at 915am Pacific Time and then keep going every 15 minutes until they finish.

#1 & #2 & #3- Old Hollywood - So, this Oscar nominee/winner who has lately been doing television started off as a child actor. Anyway, back when he was barely in his teens he worked with this A++ foreign born movie actor who had quite the reputation. When the A++ actor learned our child actor was new to the ways of sex he introduced him to some willing co-stars who were more than willing to have sex with the young teen.

#1 - Child Actor
#2 - A++ actor
#3 - Movie they made when this happened.

#4 - This one is not Old Hollywood. This D list movie actor has been in almost 100 movies. He gets parts not because of his talent, but because when he comes to the sets he brings three or four women who work for him as escorts and service the cast and crew on foreign locations and away from home.

  1. A++ foreign born actor with reputation is possibly Charlie Chaplin.

  2. First guess for #4 is Tom Sizemore. He seems the type.

Need to think about the Old Hollywood one.

    ReplyDelete
  3. I know people who recently have worked with Sizemore on several projects and it ain't him.

    ReplyDelete
  4. #1 - Jackie Earle Haley from Human Target
    #2 - Donald Sutherland - Canadian
#3 - The day of the locust - Filmed in 1975.

Jackie Earle Haley would have been 14.

    #4 No Clue!

  5. 123 don't know but I think we will get the answer on Sunday. But only Oscar child stars come to mind are Ron Howard or Jeff Bridges.

D List actor for some reason Michael Madsen comes to mind. He is the worst actor and known drug addict and is in so many movies. Particulary Quentin Tarantino movies. Me thinks free lady action must be a good motivator to hire him.

  6. ohh good guess for 1,2,3 bloodreign!

    2-Marlon Brando
    3-Apocalypse Now

  9. Old Hollywood Guess

    #1 Dean Stockwell
    #2 Errol Flynn
#3 "Kim" 1950 (Stockwell would have been 14.)

  10. Marlon Brando isn't Foreign Born but good idea.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Annie, that's a great guess!!

    ReplyDelete
  12. @von: That's a really good one!

    ReplyDelete
  13. Please, please let both of these be revealed!

    ReplyDelete
  14. I was thinking Dean Stockwell too.

    ReplyDelete
  15. oh now I think Von got it! Has to be Errol Flyn he was such a man whore.

    ReplyDelete
  16. is Errol Flynn A++, though? I thought Charlie Chaplin too, but I have no idea who the then-kid would be.

    ReplyDelete
  17. 1)Christian Slater
    2)Sean Connery
    3)Name of the Rose

    4)?

    ReplyDelete
  18. @lollydarling: In his heyday, Errol Flynn was absolutely A++. His womanizing gave rise to the phrase "In like Flynn!" and his autobiography was titled "My Wicked, Wicked Ways." This sounds like the type of thing he would have enjoyed doing.

  19. A++ actors to me that are foreign born are:

    Cary Grant
    Laurence Olivier
    Peter O'Toole

    ReplyDelete
  20. Errol Flynn was a gorgeous, degenerate man-whore. Good guess.

Cary grant was my first thought, though of course I don't have a clue as to who/what #1 and #3 are.

Re #4: How does a D-lister get the $$$ to pay for 3-4 escorts? Also, it seems like he would be cast before he's on the set. So does that mean the director(s)and casting director(s) knowingly cast him because they know he's going to bring along human party favors?

    ReplyDelete
  21. @Mango I took the BI as the escorts work for the Dlister.
Guessing he is a pimp on the side so he can make money and attract roles due to his pimping.

Wasn't Chaplin into underage girls? He would not have introduced him to WOMEN. So where the co-stars underage? Hmm?

    ReplyDelete
  23. i like von's guesses. and i must say, when i think 'old hollywood', i'm not thinking donald sutherland.

    1975 isn't 'old hollywood.'

the flynn guess really fits. love it.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Robert - yes, I absolutely agree, and he certainly sounds like the kind of man who would have done this - I was just wondering if someone nowadays would describe him as A++, rather than a simple A, because he's really only known for a tiny handful of films. Uke's Christian Slater/Sean Connery guess sounds bang on. The Bond aspect would make Connery A++.

  25. Found a quote but no details from Dean Stockwell.

I read some interview with Stockwell – it was recently – and he was asked, “So who taught you about sex?” He said, “I did a movie with Errol Flynn when I was 13. I got quite an education.”

I think it was quote from a book about child stars.

  28. @lollydarling: Yeah, Connery/Slater is another really good one. Dash seems to offer some backup for the Flynn/Stockwell guess, though, so...now I'm confused!

    ReplyDelete
  29. WOW...I had this whole kick-ass synopsis written out with Peter O'Toole and Richard Burton, then realized O'Toole was 32 when they worked together...

    back to wiki!!!!

I love the Seth Green and David Spade guesses for #4.

    ReplyDelete
  31. #4 David Spade does sound good for this one. He always seems to have women around him and he's never been talented or funny. Good call Little Miss Smoke and Mirrors!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Danny Trejo(Machete, Heat) has over 180 IMDB listings

    ReplyDelete
  33. Here's a link with the Stockwell quote: http://www.sheilaomalley.com/?p=6909

  34. @Mango
I am speculating on the person, but, here's how it works. The actor receives his SAG rate as an actor(or he negotiates a quote from the producers), the girls are still charging for services rendered and the actor takes a percentage.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Uke is right with the slater/connery guess. I've heard this before. Slater might have mentioned in an interview years ago. About #4, I have no guesses, but I certainly understand those who think it's Tom Sizemore. And incidentally, Tom and Michael Madsen are tight; godfathers-of-each-other's-kids tight.

    ReplyDelete
  36. A++....I can't even wrap my head around that.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I dunno who #4 is but one of the girls is probably Jules Kirby.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Slater has not been nominated for an Oscar.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Sizemore & Madsen are at least C list, and they both do get parts because of their talent! (Sorry, but I love them both.)

And I agree, Errol Flynn isn't A++ list, he's A+++++++++++++ list! It's frakkin' Errol Flynn!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  40. "Slater has not been nominated for an Oscar."

But didn't he come thisclose to a nomination for "Alone in the Dark?" Bwahahaha, I crack myself up! Yeah, I'm way too slaphappy, time for bed.

    ReplyDelete
  41. I thought for the first one Russell Crowe and Leonardo Di Caprio - didn't Leo always credit Russ for introducing him to women? They costarred in the Quick and the Dead with Sharon Stone.

    As for #4 NFI.

  43. Christ. I've worked in Hollywood for so long that these could fit anyone. Honestly. I've given up on the blinds, because just when I thought I've got it, another pathetic person comes to mind. It really is that base here.

However, I am thoroughly entertained and enlightened by responses that I read.

    Happy Fourth!

    ReplyDelete
  44. Just like someone mentioned on here that to them Donald Sutherland is not 'old Hollywood' I wouldn't think of Sean Connery as old Hollywood, either.

Errol Flynn, however, fits that description perfectly!

    Off topic:

I while ago, there was a person here who gave us juicy insight on Hollywood. I seem to remember that his/her name began with an A.
Has anybody heard of him/her ever since? Does this person have a blog?

    ReplyDelete
  45. *A while

    It's hot here. Sorry.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Isn't David Spade reputed to have an enormous willy? I always thought that was the secret of his success with the ladies...

    ReplyDelete
  47. let's all agree that Old Hollywood is pre 1970.

    ReplyDelete
  48. it does say that the former child star has been doing television lately...Stockwell has been...i think you have a winner there, Von!

    ReplyDelete
  49. #4 Jack Black? I always wonder why he gets casted so often. But, I don't know if he's DList. I would think he's higher than that. I also like the David Spade guess.

    ReplyDelete
  50. I am going to say Timothy Hutton and Donald Sutherland and the film was 'Ordinary People'. Canada is a foreign land.

Can't think of anything for #4.

  52. CONGRATULATIONS TO VON!!!

Errol Flynn came up to me. Somebody said, “This is Dean Stockwell.” Of course, he’s bigger than me, and with this gleam in his eye, he looked down at me. He stuck out his hand and said, “Hi. Have you had your first fuck yet?”
