Harvey Pekar Has Died

Early this morning Harvey Pekar died. Harvey was the author of American Splendor. If you never read it, you really should pick up an issue of one of the best comic books ever written. If you never saw one of his many appearances on David Letterman, you missed great television. If you never saw the movie American Splendor starring Paul Giamatti, you missed one of the greatest movies of the last decade. (Thanks Jane)

  3. Good night, sweet prince.

Harvey was the man. Uncompromising, stuck to his guns and amusing stories.

    *salute*

  7. In this era of worshipping plastic conformity, it's sad to lose such a creative, unique individual.
