It's Jessica Simpson's Turn To Be Pregnant

OK! Magazine must have sold a whole lot of issues last week with their Jenifer Aniston is pregnant cover. Not only is Jennifer back on the cover with an update on her "baby," but this week apparently Jessica Simpson is pregnant. She must be right? I mean there she is with a "baby bump," and it is confirmed after all. Right?

You know how much I love these covers and at some point I wonder if publicists say, "you know what? You can lie about our client too if it gets us a cover."

My problem with these covers is that first they obviously lack imagination. It is like some sites or magazines only ever going with Twilight because it knows it brings them readers. They don't ever actually say anything of importance, they just mention the name and know they will get hits. In this case, OK! has given up the premise of any kind of integrity to fool people in the checkout lines to buy their magazines.

They must spend their entire time looking for celebrities with baby bumps and then concocting how that person got pregnant and how they can make it a cover. I think they should just give up any other news entirely and just focus on pregnancies. There have been about 28 issues of the magazine this year and about 12 have had pregnancy covers. Most not real.

Oh, and love how they put Jen and Angelina on the same cover.

  2. My problem with these covers is the implication than Jen or Jess is incomplete without a child

  3. I think Betty White should be next. Now there's a story.

  4. Please, no Simpson babies, no more Kardeshian babies, no more Brit babies. Angelina can have some more, though.

  5. This magazine as well as Life and Style remind me of the old Tiger Beat and 16 magazines:

    "Donny Osmand confesses!"
    "Davy Jones: Married?"
"David's last year as a Partridge - why?"

    Awww memories...

  6. I love how it says "Confirmed" right above the major headline. I hate these magazines for so many reasons.

  7. Yeah, because being preggers with a food baby is newsworthy (For clarification's sake, I don't think she's actually pregnant and I'm not slamming her weight).

At least the British tabloids have witty headlines.

  8. Why are people so curious about people having babies, for crying out loud! I really don't get it! And I'm friggin' pregnant myself!

  9. No wonder women in Hollywood flock to plastic surgeons, drugs and eating disorders, when a normal, beautiful 30-year-old gets slammed with pregnancy rumors just because her belly sticks out a little. It doesn't help any to put up for comparison the super-skinny Angelina Jolie. Even Jen Aniston looks a little chunky by comparison to her.

  10. Wish I could be as chunky as Jen Aniston.
