Rachel Uchitel Quits Celebrity Rehab For One Day

What do you do when you can't handle rehab that you are getting paid to attend? Well, if you are Rachel Uchitel you take a one day break after telling the producers you are quitting for good. Allegedly Rachel decided to quit the show after a one on one with Dr. Drew. The same Dr. Drew she has said she has had a crush on and one of the main reasons she agreed to do the show in the first place. That and the paycheck. Oh, and working on her addictions to pills and booze.

This is just a guess, but I am going to say that she was probably not a perfect angel the night she stayed away from rehab. Producers went and visited her the next day and managed to talk her back into coming. This is my one problem with Celebrity Rehab. Did producers talk her into coming back so she could get help for her issues or did they talk her back into coming because she is going to help them get good ratings? Producers want to keep making money and the only way they will do that is to have good ratings so they get another season.

  1. sounds like a publicity stunt to me. That way the producers can have the 'star decided to leave but dr. drew talked her into coming back' story line, and Rachel gets a minute of press.

  2. Aw....rehab is hard, Rachel? Then again, this is a woman who finds it impossible to stay away from married dick, so...

  4. Meh, the entire premise is based on ratings. Like they say, if it don't make dollars it don't make sense.

  5. Isn't this the woman that got $10 M from the Tiger? What does she need money for?

  7. sunnyside, I was wondering the same exact thing. I thought Uchitel is the other woman who cashed in big on the Tiger brouhaha.

Of course this shit is for ratings. I will totally watch it just because this trainwreck is on it. I have no shame in admitting this.

If the show scored someone big - like Lindsay or Whitney - it would get a major bump in ratings, no doubt.

  8. @ Susan. I googled her and she is the one. I wonder if that is more than Elin gets in the prenup. That would piss me off big time.

  9. Dr. Drew Pinksy (someone told me that his name is pronounced Doosh Fraudsky, go figure) is a holy man who lives for nothing but the well being of those poor out-of-luck Hollywood celebrities (and not at all the well being of his bank account, as some snidely siggest).

  11. Yeah, the whole Celeb Rehab situation doesn't seem very conducive to healing or mental health. I've watched it, and the cameras are intrusive. People's recovery seems to be derailed by the filming, and then they bring in disruptive psychopaths like that KeriAnn creature or Heidi the Madam? Hmm. It does seem to follow the rule of reality television (Maximum Drama!) more than the medical rule "Do no harm." I sometimes feel guilty watching it.

  12. Uchitel is infamous for being a whore. Her parents must be proud.

Remarkable that Tiger Woods paid her $10 million dollars. Not only is he known for being a man-whore, cavalier with the lives of his wife and sex partners, he's also got a reputation for being unbelievably stingy. He's well known for being a cheap tipper; it's amazing that he got any waitresses to sleep with him. Paying Uchitel that money must have hurt more than losing his wife and children. Miserable POS.

  13. Carrie (I think that's her name? The one that was in the video with McDreamy and his wife, naked)
did the exact same thing last season. She got mad and left and stayed gone til the next day, when they talked her into coming back.
I think its a regular thing.
Heidi Fleiss took off and left before that. While she was out, she got doped up and wrecked her car, then came back the next day.

  16. Well said 0, this ho is no celebrity and should be on no one's radar.

What is she a celebrity for? Being a Whore?

  18. I think the first season was pretty good. After that, it became about the $$ and nobody seemed all that serious about treatment. There are a couple of people who made it through and are still doing well, though. I know CH is all about the ratings, but every once in a while, someone actually gets helped.

  19. I don't understand why this piece of trash is getting the "celebrity" label at all. When they first introduce the cast on the first episode of this season, what the hell are they going to say about her? Something like, "Hi, my name is Rachel and I'm best known for being the highest paid hooker in Tiger Woods' harem. Oh, I also hopped in the sack with married actor David Boreanaz. I guess you could say I'm addicted to sex with married peen, and I have a problem with overdoing it at the tanning salon and adding tacky extensions to my overprocessed mane of hair."

    Gawd.

  20. Drew sold out long ago. He knows how the ratings game is played.

  21. Please. I stopped watching CR after they started letting bitchy little spoiled shrews take over the show, but Dr. Drew Pinsky is a very well-respected doctor. Call him what you wish, but he's not a fraud or a shyster, he actually has all the credentials and collegial respect to back up his reputation. And he's a Southern California native and USC grad. So there. 8P

  22. I don't condone sleeping with married persons, but it seems the word, 'whore' is too readily thrown about when it comes to women, but there's a double standard towards men. I know some here referred to Tiger as a 'man whore'. Just hate that word.

That being said, fame comes to those who can do something exceptional or something outrageous. Most people can't do something exceptional, but they can do something outrageous. Many women and men have become famous throughout history because of whom they slept with. It shouldn't be a shock.

Sadly, celebrity rehab is better than most rehab facilities. I know too many people who fell through the cracks and ended up dead after cutting out on their treatment. Ratings or not, at least they go after them and bring them back.
