How Would You Like To Get Stabbed With That Thing?

Shelley Malil took the stand again in his own defense as he is accused of stabbing his ex-girlfriend 20 times by mistake. Look at that knife in his hand. Holy crap. Can you imagine being stabbed with that thing 20 times? I can't believe the woman lived. Malil has continued to say that he thought he was stabbing his ex-girlfriend's new boyfriend and that it was dark and that he was defending himself. See, this is the part that does not make sense. Lets pretend he really thought it was this guy. Where was the weapon of the guy? Has anyone else seen his weapon? How is that the ex-girlfriend could plainly see Malil coming from a long way but he could not. Was he wearing a blindfold?

  1. Ever hear of a kick to the balls? That will stop someone toute suite from stabbing you.

  2. So he thought he was attacking a man? Did he never think, "Why does this person I'm stabbing have large breasts? Why does this person I'm stabbing have long, womanly hair? Why is this person I'm stabbing screaming in a high-pitched female tone?"

  3. chopchop: I wish you were a juror.

The attorney should be ousted for allowing this testimony.

  4. I don't care who he intended to murder. He needs to be locked up for the attempt. Why didn't he just plead guilty?

  6. I guess I just forgot that the sentence for stabbing your ex-girlfriend's boyfriend would be so much different, probably just a slap on the wrist even, than stabbing your ex-girlfriend. Note to self!

  9. Even if he thought it was a guy, which is a lie, why do you need to stab someone 20 times? 6 or 7 seems like overkill. That poor girl.

  10. Let's not forget he comes from a society that makes good use of "dowry fires".

  11. If you couldn't tell if it was your girlfriend or her NEW boyfriend, I don't believe you could see a knife either. What room is that dark? Unless there were black out curtains the entire lie of his defense is absurd. She's lucky he didn't kill her, he certainly tried hard enough.

  12. Here's the original news story:

On Sunday night about 15 miles east in San Marcos, deputies answering reports of screams for help and breaking glass found a woman with multiple stab wounds and cuts on her face, with no suspect at the scene. She was taken to the hospital and was in critical condition Monday morning. Authorities did not know her condition early Tuesday. "Malil and the victim had apparently been in a dating relationship which recently ended," the statement said. Malil was arrested for investigation of attempted murder, mayhem and burglary and booked into the county's Vista Detention Center, the statement said. A deputy on duty early Tuesday did not know the name of Malil's lawyer and attempts to identify and reach him for comment were unsuccessful."

Reports say the unidentified victim's two children were also in the house at the time of the attack, so let's just hope he cooperates fully with authorities and accepts whatever punishment he receives.

That whole accident defense falls apart when it turns out he broke in and she was screaming for her life. Her kids where there and saw her after the attack for God's sake.

  13. I think a judge should be allowed to say, "Shelley, for real. Give it up."

  14. I didn't realize this happened in my home town. I haven't bought his defense since I heard it. At a minimum, he should have figured it wasn't a guy when the screaming started. I sure hope the jury doesn't buy this garbage.
