Today's Blind Items

#1 - Nothing juicy about this, or particularly blind worthy, but it is funny so thought I would make it a blind. This fantastically funny talk show host who is now an actor on a struggling to stay on the air television show called up a friend of his. The friend was not home or the friend's wife, but the nanny was. Instead of just leaving a message, our talk show host decided to talk and talk and talk. It kind of went like this. “This is ______ calling, have you seen my show [the talk show, not the sitcom]? You should tell all of your friends to watch, and then I will have one million viewers. And can you call the president of __ and tell him that you love it? Thanks!” He kept going on and on even after the nanny told him she would take a message.

#2 - This former A+ Olympic athlete who really needs to step it up if he does not want to embarrass himself at the next one, really should put some curtains in his windows. All of his neighbors are keeping a running tally of the number of women he has brought back to his place and even have scorecards they flash after the event has been completed.

  2. 1. Joel McHale for sure. Just saw him in The Informant! last night. Was really impressed.

    2. I think Phelps too. Also, isn't it widely known he has the herp? Hope he's being careful.

  4. Ahaha, I died laughing when I read the scorecards part.

  5. I originally thought Phelps for #2. But the blind says former, and I do believe he is training to be in the next Summer games when they role around. This led me to believe it is someone who's competition days are behind him.

  7. 'Community' is struggling? I had no idea, because all of my friends are in love with it!

  8. Community is totally struggling, and it's a damn shame because it's awesome. CBS totally fucked it by moving The Big Bang Theory opposite Community. Sad times if Community dies and garbage like Outsourced makes it.

  9. Seeing as there's reference to holding up scorecards makes me think that it's a skater/gymnast/diver!

  15. I would totally do Phelps - he's got a fantastic body. Just to see him naked is orgasm worthy alone.

I'd do McHale, too, for his sense of humor, but I'm pretty sure he's married, so I wouldn't really do him.

  16. #2, Michael Phelps, "who really needs to step it up if he does not want to embarrass himself at the next one" sounds to me like someone who is planning on participating agan. Michael Phelps has gone of the deep end with his behavior and his swimming is suffering for it.

  17. I agree with Miss P. I think this is someone from a sport with scores. Besides, I think Phelps is still A+. Other than that, I got nuthin.

Is Talk Soup considered a talk show? I originally thought Mchale, but question if his show fits the category.

  18. I like Community but I don't love it like I do Modern Family. I watch mostly for McHale who I ADORE. I hope it does make it.

#2 - Funny...but the neighbors apparently have a lot of time on their hands!

  20. Why am I having a hard time believing #2? Might be 'cause the whole sitch feels like being lifted from a sitcom?

  21. #2 - Bruce Jenner?

    I kid, I kid!

  22. #2 - my first thought was Bode Miller (skier that bombed at the last Olympics due to poor training/excellent partying)

  23. It sure sounds like Michael Phelps, but Evan Lysacek, perhaps? That would explain the scorecards.

  24. It sounds like Phelps but I don't think it's him because he's for sure still A+ list?

  25. you know, ladies, phelps may not be the PRETTIEST man alive, but swimmers are in EXCELLENT condition, and they can hold their breath a long, long time...

  26. Phelps doesn't need to step it up in the next Olympics...he's a legend. He has more Gold medals than Mark Spitz...how do you "step it up so as not to embarrass himself at the next one" with his current medal count??? This is someone who we put high hopes in winning Gold and didn't deliver...
