Today's Blind Items - Kindness

Many, but not enough celebrities help out on Thanksgiving by feeding the homeless or doing some other kind of good deed. This C+ list actress, who has made her first television show a hit network show decided to take her good deed a step further. Not only did she deliver meals to people's homes all day Wednesday and Thursday, but she did so without drawing any attention to herself at all. It was only after people kept recognizing her when she was making deliveries that anyone had any idea she was on a show. The higher-ups in the organization told her she could do something more glamorous or photo op worthy but she refused and just kept delivering meals. She ended up delivering meals to over 100 homes during the two days and also dropped off Christmas presents to the homes she visited who had children.

  2. I don't know who this is but it is nice to hear that she did it without any fanfare or PR. I only want to know so because I might want to support her shows or movies.

  5. Eva Longoria? Or is she more B list?

  6. Or maybe it would have said "foreign born" then...

  7. I'm gonna roll the dice and say Lea Michelle.

You know it's almost Blind Reveal time when enty starts rolling out the kindness blind items.

Gets me all giddy for Jan 1!!

  11. Laura Linney from The Big C?? Not sure if that's on a network. US citizens enlighten me!

  12. It tickles me pink when celebrities are altruistic without turning it into a photo shoot. Kudos!

  13. I'm going with Heather Locklear. She was in a photo with Kirk Douglas and she wasn't dressed like she was serving. Her first role was in Dynasty.

Name-wise, she's higher than C+, but she hasn't done much work lately.

The giving back may be part of her recovery or something. She was in treatment or something, wasn't she?

  14. Big C is pay cable. Network is CBS, NBC, Fox, ABC, CW

  15. At first I was reading it as someone who used to have a hit show and for some reason Blossom kept coming to mind. When I read it again, it seems like it is someone who was already known for acting and then went on a network TV show where she made it a success. Am I reading it wrong?

What about Sandra Oh from Grey's Anatomy?

  16. @Ellen - I agree with your reasoning. Not sure if Sandra Oh MADE Grey's a hit show though...
What about Archie Punjabi from The Good Wife? That's CBS, isn't it?

  17. Resisting a photo op? How refreshing. Lindsay, Paris, etc., please take note.

  18. This screams Mindy Kaling to me. Her first television show being The Office and she made it a huge hit by writing nearly all of the most popular episodes.

  19. the show..Raising Hope
    actress-- Martha Plimpton

  20. I immediately thought of Heather Morris from Glee. I like the Diana Agron guess as well. Whoever it was, good for her.

  21. Jane Lynch - Glee?

  22. Litterbox beat me to it. I could see Jane Lynch too but isn't she B list by now? She got an Emmy nod, I thought.

  23. @Ryan - and Mindy Kaling was also the answer to another kindness blind. I think it was the one about the family looking for a lost cat. She helped them look, then bought the little girl a new kitten. Or something like that.

    Gotta go with Mindy.

  24. What about Sarah Hyland from Modern Family? I don't know why, but her face popped into my head.

  25. I saved this for last and I'm so glad as it renews my faith in people after reading the Bristol Palin post. Please reveal this one.

  26. My first thought was Dianna Agron. Love the Mindy guess too though.

  27. I love kindness blinds.

    @Ryan - I didn't know that! I love her.

  28. I like the Mindy Kahling guess, and she's done good deeds before without seeking recognition.

I'd love it to be Jane Lynch as well. As far as I'm concerned, she's 'A-List'. She's done 'Arrested Development', and all those Christopher Guest improv movies. I've loved her for years, and wouldn't be surprised if she's pulled several acts of kindness.

  29. I read an interview with Mindy and BJ Novak in New York magazine, they write together a lot and seem to be good buds. (BJ Novak, of course, is Ryan on The Office, and one of its producers.) I can see her doing this. And it was so great to read about her talent, she's a pretty prolific writer, and has a lot to do with the success of the show.
Go to www.nymag.com and search on "Mindy Kaling" - so funny.

  30. Lisa Kudrow - I thought she has form for doing things like this.

  31. I am going with Jane Lynch. I love her. Too bad I dislike Glee so much.

  33. The blind implies that the actress has worked on more than one show. I like the Mindy guess but the wording "her first TV show" doesn't fit her. There were plans for Mindy to have her own show a while back but those never came about.

  34. Melissa McCarthy....Mike and Molly being the show?

    ReplyDelete
  35. I want this to be Martha Plimpton.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I think it's Eva Longoria. She does things like this all the time, that no one ever hears about. It's what matters most to her, not Hollywood.

  37. "who has made her first television show a hit network show" sounds to me like her first show is currently on the air. She might be an established movie actress or a newcomer, which isn't clear. Also, it is HER show, she would be the lead or an outstanding supporter, not an ensemble member like some of those Glee guesses.

Sofia Vergara has had other TV shows
Jane Lynch was on Party Down
I love Archie Panjabi, but i don't think she made her show. And she had TV shows in the UK.
Lea Michelle, Martha Plimpton, and Mindy Kaling all seem to fit.

  38. Dianna Agron was the first thought that came to my mind! I don't think she 'made' the show, though. Hmm.
