More Tax Troubles For Marc Anthony

A few years ago, Marc Anthony blamed his owing millions in unpaid taxes on a really bad business management team. Some of that team pleaded guilty to some tax felonies. So, you would think you would learn your lesson about paying taxes. Apparently Marc did not learn that lesson though and owes up to $3.4M in unpaid taxes which he has accumulated in just the past few years. I guess it is a good thing that Jennifer Lopez is working on Idol so she can help pay off that bill. I did not think Marc even made enough money to pay that much in taxes. It seems like every day all he does is trail two feet behind Jennifer chain smoking cigarettes.

  1. Marc was very big at one point in time just not in "mainstream" America.

  2. And he's the only man still wearing his third shirt button undone....ok that just really bothers me. I'll bet he has a closet full of old Members Only jackets too and shirts from Just Shirts.

  3. Marc Anthony was as big as JLo, perhaps bigger, in the latin music scene.

  4. What is it with celebs and them not having a CLUE where there money is going?
And this one, he looks just greasy. Like an extra just stepping off the set of Miami Vice circa Don Johnson. Waiting to see the pastel pants and the jacket with the pushed sleeves. Gross.

  5. sorry enty...but you're wrong on this one. marc is so loaded, my jaw drops. he may be management-challenged, but he can definitely afford the 3.4M. and it's not that he 'was' a big star...he is a big star. mainstream doesn't get it, but he's a+++ in latin market, and bigger than jho could ever hope to be. he also just wrapped a massive intl sold-out tour a few months ago. as general market/mainstream americans we need to lose the mentality that just b/c an artist isn't big w/in the confines of our borders, he isn't big elsewhere. it's a big, big, world.

  6. @Moosefan-I agree, how can they not know where the money is going?
It must be the "let the little people that work for me handle these things that are below me" train of thought.

  7. Some of these entertainers just don't get involved or try to understand the biz aspects. One doesn't have to be a genius, but be involved, present and aware.

Or, they are too trusting of biz associates.

  8. After the ass whipping Uncle Sam gave to Wesley Snipes. I think Mr. Lopez will have no problem coughing up that money.

  9. because these idiots allow others to sign checks...without limitations, and that is where the problems come from...you need to watch the people who take care of your money...it's just too tempting.

  10. Is this the answer to that blind the other day about the spouse keeping a secret from his spouse that could land him in jail, etc.?

  11. @ MadLyb, I was wondering if Marc Anthony was the religious star who donates to his church and stiffs the tax man.

Agree that he is huge in the Latin music world. HUGE.

  12. Marc Anthony blamed his owing millions in unpaid taxes on a really bad business management team...

Who knowingly admits to cheating the IRS? I'm sure everyone blames it on their bookkeepers.

  13. One article I read said he made $11 million a year. And that doesn't include her 20 million a year (same article).

  14. Is she really a chain smoker? I didn't know that. Now when I look at her picture, the aroma of ashtray wafts into my mind.

No, I think it is that he trails Jennifer while he is smoking cigarettes...
HE IS HUGE in latin america...sorry, folks! Just because he isn't big in mainstream...remember, there are other countries out there.

  17. Doesn't this mean JBlow owes too? They are married, so they must be considered a unit.

  18. Didn't they just buy a $10M house in LA this year? I don't think money is a concern for them. An outstanding tax bill is not always because they can't pay. Sometimes there is a tax issue in dispute.

  19. I know one of the people who was on Marc's management team. Total f*cking crook who has scammed the best. Always manages to slither away... Don't know if he had anything to do with this mess, but it wouldn't surprise me.
