Today's Blind Items - Kindness

Another small, but nice kindness. As I said in the photos, it has been raining for what seems like forever in Los Angeles, but has only been this week. Yesterday was probably the worst it has been. Anyway, this C- list actress who is on one of the biggest network television shows of all time (although she was a latecomer to the series)was driving home yesterday in this monsoon when she saw a car that was on the side of the road. A woman was standing outside looking under her hood in the rain and our actress decided to stop and see if she could help. Well, it turns out the woman was standing there and had three of her kids in the car, including one in a car seat. The woman did not have a cell phone. Our actress called a tow truck driver for the car, and then gave the entire family a ride home all the way on the other side of LA. In the rain. Our actress even gave the obviously struggling woman a few hundred dollars to help pay for the tow and the repairs.

  3. As much as I love the Kindness, we need a really good juicy oooey gooey Old Hollywood blind item & reveal for Jan 1

  4. I LOVE this blind, and I like the Kirstie guess, but didn't she win a few Emmys for her role on Cheers? I know she hasn't been on T.V. for a while, but I think she's bigger than C-list.

That said, I dunno. But I can't wait for the reveal! I've never forgotten the recent one about Mindy Kaling (sp?) and the kitten. :-)

  5. Just for the sake of someone different, how about Amy Ryan? The Office could be one of the biggest television shows of all time where she's considered a regular character and a latecomer. She's also been in The Wire (awesome show) and In Treatment, as well as some pretty good movies. She also seems like she'd be a nice person IRL.

  6. Or even Melora Hardin, as another Office person who would have enough name recognition to be C- list.

  7. amy ryan has an oscar nomination. she's way, way more than C-.

and it says 'IS on one of the biggest network shows.' does that mean it's still on? that's how i took it.

  8. Annabeth Gish from the XFiles. I've heard of her doing things like this before.

  9. Whoops, missed the verb tense. In that case...Lauren Holly from NCIS?

  11. Ellie Kemper aka Ellie the receptionist from The Office.

Late addition to the cast (she was introduced late in season 5) and it's by far her most famous performance (Amy Ryan was nominated for an Oscar, Melora Hardin did lots of other stuff). Enty loves BIs about The Office (kindness from Mindy Kaling, the divorce between Angela and Toby's brother in real life). And the Kempers are, according to Wikipedia, a very wealthy family.

  12. I read the blind as past tense, so I deleted my above comment.

I really don't think "The Office" can be considered one of the greatest of ALL TIME.

  13. Dot Marie Jones from Glee.

  14. I have no idea but sure hope this one gets revealed on new year's day!

  15. I certainly don't think "SVU" is all that great, but I did just notice that the two photos below are of cast members.
Anybody know if they have a C- female late-comer?

    ReplyDelete
  16. i suck at these...but how awesome of this person...pls reveal this one, enty!

  17. Dot Marie Jones wouldn't have called the tow truck driver. She would have taken a rope and pulled the car by herself.

  18. I think it's a big show like Law and Order or ER. Maybe someone like Parminder Nagra? Angie Harmon?

    ReplyDelete
  19. it reads..."C-list actress who IS on one of biggest television shows of all time..." Kristie Alley would fit for past tense, so is this a current show?

    ReplyDelete
  20. How about Emily Bergl, who is new this season on Desperate Housewives. She would definitely qualify as C- minus and DH has been on forever and was rather ground breaking in its hey day.

  21. Agree, awesome person!

On a slightly cynical note - how exactly do these kindness blinds become known? Are the kind celebrity people calling the press? Are their PR people calling gossip blog people and telling them? Not to negate any act of kindness but whenever I read these, it makes me somewhat sad that we are so surprised and impressed by them. Maybe I'm just an old hippie at heart and wish this was just the way life was. Happy Holidays all!

  22. My first thought was Kirstie Alley- I think after all her past disasters on TV, she would be considered C list and Cheers was a HUGE show.

    ReplyDelete
  23. It's someone who is on a show that is currently still on the air, based on the verb tense used in the blind. I'm not going to guess who it is, but good for them.

    ReplyDelete
  24. What si the name of the actress who played Juliette on Lost?
    Elizabeth something........

    ReplyDelete
  25. I agree that it has to be a show currently on the air.

How about someone from Grey's Anatomy?

    Jessica Capshaw?
    Kim Raver?
    Sarah Ramirez?

    ReplyDelete
  26. CSI and The Office are the only two shows currently airing that I'd say were amongst the biggest of all time.

    ReplyDelete
  27. My first thought was Dot Marie Jones, but I couldn't remember her name so thanks, JW.

    ReplyDelete
  28. After a little research I discovered that LOST was the most expensive (current) show at 2.5 million per episode. Since Lost ran through 2010 that is technically this television season. IMHO.

No idea who it is though! :)

    ReplyDelete
  29. Linda Cardellini?

    ReplyDelete
  30. The show is CURRENT!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Kirstie? Really? Her Scientologists wouldn't let her help anyone, people.

    ReplyDelete
  32. C- means absolutely someone right above Tara Reid. Kirstie Alley will always be at least a B. Sara Ramirez is definitely A list. She has a TONY!

    ReplyDelete
  33. not Kristi the BI says "who is on one of the biggest network shows of all time" That means currently so nothing that's been canceled.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I'm thinking Sara R. or Kim R, or Sarah D from Grey's. although I'm not sure Kim Raver is C-. She's been leading before doesn't that make her B- or something.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Jamie's Girl, haven't you heard that in an emergency, a high-ranking Sci is the ONLY PERSON possibly qualified to help?

Once you pay Kirstie or JT or TC $$$, you become officially invincible.

    ReplyDelete
  36. What about Mary McCormack (late of USA Network's In Plain Sight, but who was on The West Wing for seasons 6 and 7)--do you think The West WIng is big?

    ReplyDelete
  37. Love the idea of it being anyone on The Office, but Amy Ryan is (imo at least) B list and she lives in Queens.

Re Sara Ramirez: Don't you have to have name recognition to be A list? Winning a Tony great but if most peeps don't recognize your name...

    ReplyDelete
  38. Elizabeth Mitchell from Lost??

    ReplyDelete
  39. It's Allison Sweeney.

She's the host of Biggest Loser, and came on in the 4th season. She's been in soap operas.

If I'm right, finally FINALLY a blind with a decent play on words that serves as a clue.

If I'm wrong, we need a DECENT PLAY ON WORDS THAT SERVES AS A CLUE!

    ReplyDelete
  40. Olivia Wilde from HOUSE.

    /thread

    ReplyDelete
  41. how about Cote de Pablo, from NCIS? huge show, and she didn't join the cast til season 3.

    ReplyDelete
  42. The Allison Sweeney guess makes sense given the play on words. "Biggest network tv shows of all time"...the BL contestants would make it the biggest.

And I can totally see her doing something like this.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Anonymous2:28 PM

I'm jumping on the Raven-Symone bandwagon, too.

based on what I'v seen from Kirstie Alley's TV show (and from people who've worked with her), she seems like an uber-bitch.

    ReplyDelete
  44. How about one of the women of SNL?

    ReplyDelete
  45. Read the tense says "is on" not "was on". Also "the biggest" not "the greatest". The Office is not even close to being the biggest....it's always suffered in the ratings. For the "biggest" we need to look at ratings and longevity. Off the top of my head, that leaves American Idol, CSI, and NCIS. Since he referred to it as a "series". I would agree with Cote de Pablo. May not seem like it but NCIS is HUGE.....highest rated show (aside from AI). Also Cote is not a big name...probably is C-.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Ah dang, I thought it was Maura Tierney (from ER) but the blind indicates that it's a current show. Hmm- I like the Alison Sweeney guess if the blind is worded right.
