Today's Blind Items

Another classless no tipper today. This formerly B list television actor is known more now for trying to break Scott Baio's record of most people to have sex with in Hollywood without actually doing anything anymore. Sure, our actor was once on a hit show but that was ages ago. Apparently he is still enough of a draw that a club in LA recently comped our actor 15 bottles of booze. At the prices they charge for bottle service that is like the national debt of some countries. Anyway, our actor occupied the services of two waitresses and other staff for several hours while he and his party partied. At the end of the night, our actor just walked out into the night. No tip, no thanks and has not been back.

  2. Wilmer, is that you?

  3. Wilmer Valderrama from That 70's Show, is what I meant I guess. Obviously I never watched it. Not even Mila Kunis could make up for Ashton Kushner.

  4. Did he drink his own tequila? Or is it vodka?

  5. Actors are so cheap they think the world should comp them.

But if a club is willing to give you 15 free bottles of booze how could they expect him to leave a tip.

They live off their d-list names.

And i'm with the rest. This sounds like Wilmer.

  6. Jeez, we all think exactly alike it seems. Wilmer FTW!

  7. Totally think this is Wilmer, too. He's a little old to still be clubbing, but I can see him going anyway. Plus, he's been out more lately trying to drum up press for his music. Ugh. I liked "That 70s Show" but it sure produced some tools. I hope Mila learned how NOT to behave from watching them.

  8. What about Scott Biao?

  9. ...or the red headed kid from the Partridge Family.

  10. LOL! Sunnyside...I love that you guessed Scott Baio even though the blind says he's trying to beat Scott Baio's record...Scott trying to beat his own record because I don't think anyone else ever could! LOL!

I say Wilmer and Ah Ah Ah...that is not very nice, Handsy Manny!!!

  11. Oh..and I have to ask because I don't frequent Hollywood hotspots, but do these clubs honestly make up for the free booze from the publicity some of these B-list and below stars give them? Really? It seems like they would be better off just charging them.

  12. That Wilbur Voldemort guy, the one that once had sex with Lohan?

    ReplyDelete
  13. This is definitely Wilmer...just read an article a few days ago where they were going to comp this guy tons of free, very expensive booze.

  14. David Faustino?

Was That 70s Show really "ages" ago? I feel so old now!

  15. @ Ice Angel. I am really striking out today. First the Stripe Club and now Scott. (My computer is in the shop and I am using an old one on dial up. Welcome to the 90s.)

  16. LMAO @ Wilbur Voldemort

  17. How do clubs in Hollywood manage to survive if they give all their booze away for free to cheap skate no talent "actors".

If this is Wilmer, I agree with the poster up thread who said the Mila Kunis better not have picked up some of those bad habits. She is definitely on her way now and any hint of bad diva behaviour wouldn't help her.

  18. I was an assistant and Wilmer V. had a general meeting with my boss. Wilmer sauntered in and basically threw his keys at me saying, "watch my car. It's the ASTON MARTIN in the parking lot." He's a tool. And rich enough to have an Aston Martin, which makes the no tipping even worse.

  19. i like the wilmer guess...but is it too easy? i'm jumping on the bud bundy train. those little bitty dudes seem to get a lot of action for some freaky reason.

Don't forget about that other tool, Zach Braff...or Zach Barf, if you please!

    ReplyDelete
  21. ea73 - Zach Braff seems like he'd be a jerk like that, too!

Is Wilmer supposed to be that big of a jerk not to tip? I'm not defending him, I am just never liked That 70s Show, although I always thought Mila Kunis, Topher Grace and the other girl seemed like they are nice.

The first person who came to my mind was Mario Lopez, but I guess he doesn't fit because he hosts that entertainment show....

  23. If you're talking about generosity in means of how much a person gives compared to their income, by far it is the poorer people who give more. I get so disgusted whenever I read about some rich a-hole not leaving a tip or expecting something for free and getting it. Then again, the businesses do it - but I wonder if they think of their wait staff? How many tips did this dickwad cause hardworking waiters, waitresses, buspersons and dishwashers to lose that night while they were servicing this shithead? Do these businesses compensate their workers in these instances?

The more I type, the more furious I'm getting. My daughter is a waitress and she depends on her tips. Working in the service industry is not easy, and it really does take a special person to put up with all the crap these wonderful people put up with on a daily basis. Karma, darling, please do your job, and swiftly.

  24. Sorry about the grammar, as always. Hard day at work, slammed a rather large beer when I got home and you know the rest...

  25. David Faustino actually tipped well in my experience. He was dating a woman in Santa Fe and regularly came into the restaurant where I was a hostess. He and the girlfriend tipped the waitress even though the manager comped his meal. He is REALLY short and didn't throw a fit when I asked for his name to put him on the wait list. No, I didn't recognize him but one of the servers did.

    ReplyDelete
  26. @Cheryl, that's cool to know about Faustino. This blind is definitely about scummy Wilmer.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Definitely WIlmer. His karma has already caught up with him.

  28. OT - what ever happened to Scott Baio? Is he still married to that blonde that got herself knocked up to keep him when he did that reality show?

    ReplyDelete
  29. Forgot to add. I watched a reality show and the owner/manager of one a couple of Hollywood hotspots was on it. (It shouldn't take to much to figure out who it is). He basically said all waitresses were whores.

So if that is the general attitude of managers of these clubs, they aren't too worried about whether their staff get's tipped or not because they figure they will get "tipped" another way. Or at the very least "make contacts".

They also figure that the comps they give "celebrities" is advertisement for rich non celebrities to come in, and they charge them MORE for a bottle of champagne than it is actually worth, and THAT would be where the wait staff make their extra tips.

If what this guy said was true (and he said it, and it is out there somewhere on the internet) then the whole Hollywood club scene is a scam to lure in rich tourists hoping to run into a "star" at the club and willing to pay for it in over priced drinks.

I doubt the dishwasher or busboy gets a cut of the money though.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Basil - that is why the names of these clubs should be given in these BI's - so us "little people" know what businesses to boycott.

You gonna give to the rich and overcharge the poor? Fine, I'll spend my money somewhere else.

  31. @MadLyb, maybe she'll grow up to be like Mary Lyn Rajskub and turn her jackass customer story into a great joke. MLR's story about waiting on John Corbett is a riot ... and what wonderful, repeating revenge. lol

    ReplyDelete
  32. I was thinking Jesse Metcalf from Desperate Housewives?

    ReplyDelete
  33. Rickatoo, have you ever heard the phrase 'no glove no love'? Baio's girlfriend couldn't get herself pregnant, someone had to donate the sperm for it to happen.

    ReplyDelete
  34. @Melody the First - Remind me what that is? I love her. She always has great stories when she does talk shows & I can't remember if I heard that one or not? Did it involve the Hard Rock Cafe??

@Famie Joxx - Eww! What an obnoxious db!

    ReplyDelete
  35. @MCH, That was her first Conan O'Brien appearance. And yup, it involved the Hard Rock Cafe. lol

    ReplyDelete
  36. @Melody! Bah! I totally remember that interview. Something about the way she was describing the entrees & Corbett's sneers, I was laughing hysterically!

  37. I've been a VIP hostess and a bartender in Toronto for years. Comping "celebrities" is common place. And to be honest, we know that the majority of them are not going to tip.

Sport stars tip the most - LeBron James is always welcome during Caribana! Stupid C or D list people (in general) tip the least as they feel entitled to the free service. To no surprise Paris, Brody Jenner, etc have been the biggest douches.

The absolute nicest people ever are the DJs who are flown in and paid for their work, plus free booze in their rider. For the most part they tip incredibly well; DJ AM before he passed and Samantha Ronson were favourites.

Keanu Reeves doesn't step foot into clubs but whenever he's in town he's incredibly generous to the waitress at the bars in Yorkville. And... he randomly bought my girlfriend and I a bottle of champagne during a girls night because we looked like we were having fun.

Okay, that's my celeb run-ins over tipping!
