Your Turn

Earlier this week, there was some tabloid report that Scott Disick came on to Kim Kardashian. You know what, I could see that. So, today's question is, has a family member or in-law or anyone just as creepy hit on you?

  1. Nope. Mainly because I've disowned about 90% of my family.

  2. My brother was very nerdy and he had an equally nerdy friend who got together all the time to play Dungeons and Dragons, Canasta, etc...None of them drank, smoke, did drugs or even swore. This particular guy spoke with a horrible stutter and was extremely nervous around girls. They were all about 4 or 5 years older than me and watched me grow up. When I was about 18 or 19, he started coming onto me with double entendres. It made me feel like I was in one of those movies with Seth Rogan where the nerd is trying to hit on the hot chick and keeps striking out. It was so embarassing and he would always do it outside of my brother's earshot. It totally creeped me out and I would just walk away pretending that I didn't "get it." I still see him from time to time and thankfully he married a sweet lady and they have kids. He still leers at me though, so ewww...

  4. Yes, unfortunately. My (now dead) cousin would hit on me ALL the time growing up. When I was really young (11 or 12) I didn't know how to take it, but as I got older, I realized just how creepy it was. He ended up dying from an overdose, and as sad as that is, I am glad I no longer have to deal with his inappropriateness. I know that sounds horrible, but it's true.

  6. My sis-in-law's brother hits on my mom at every family event he attends. My mom feels he is undressing her with his eyes. My mom is 60 (aside from having knee and shoulder surgeries from a car accident) she looks good for her age. Sis-in-law brother is about 36 to 40 yrs old.

As for Scott, I totally believe him coming onto Kim. I dont why Kourtney stays with his "Patrick Bateman-lite" (MK Dlisted term) ass

  10. This is gross. My sister's husband kissed me on the lips when I was 17, and he was 29. It was gross, he tongued me, and I thought I was going to throw up. He did it in front of a lot of people. Still can't believe it til this day. I've never spoken to him respectfully since. That was 30 years ago.

  12. Sigh, yes. And I won't ever tell my mother because it'll break her heart. My dad's best friend (I'll call him "G") all the years I grew up - his family was our family. We did Xmas dinners, my father and he played rugby, my mother and his wife are still best friends, I went to school with the daughter, my brother went to school with their son. They are still family. My father committed suicide in 1996 and G was so upset he couldn't give the eulogy. He has taken care of my mother since then, fixing the plumbing and helping around the house.
About 3 years ago I went home for a wedding and stayed with his family as my Mom was doing a house swap and in Scotland - G and I stayed up late talking about stuff including my Dad, and when I got up to go to bed, he made a move and kissed me hard, with tongue. It was like being kissed BY my dad. I firmly stopped him and went to bed, world destroyed.
I have never told anyone because it would ruin about 35 years of family friendship and he's still my mother's handyman. I sometimes think about what my dad would do if he were alive and knew. It wouldn't be pretty.

  14. Even though I'm Southern, I can say with a clear concience, nope.

As Foxworthy says... "you might be a redneck if you go to family reunions to meet women".

    ReplyDelete
  15. Yes. This occurred at a family reunion in the south. When I was 16. *shudders*

Laughing at the comparison to Merlin D. Bear.

And my cousin's hubby flirted with me. He's no longer married to her (unrelated to this - I never told her).

  16. Yes, a cousin I'd never met before when I was 12. Ick. He went on to become a pedophile.

  17. i got hit on by a good friend's husband. does that count? she left to run errands and he asked me to sit on his lap. i thought he was just kidding around so i did. then he started to run his hand up my leg so i jumped up and walked away. he got up to follow me. i ended up locking myself in the bathroom until she got home. my friend had MS and they had a small baby. i couldn't bring myself to tell her and i was leaving the next day. she called me a few months later because she'd found out he'd hit on a LOT of her friends and she was divorcing him. so i told her what happened. they got divorced and that was that.

  18. I'm glad Enty stopped turning on the Anonymous posting feature for Your Turns, because I'm scared to think of the stories that might be posted here. :(

  19. Yes. When I was about 20yo, a good friend of my father's, 60+, was at our house for a meeting. He came on to me, was inappropriate. I was creeped out, told my parents -- and my father did *nothing.* My mother was pissed off but, true to form, she said nothing either. I just avoided that guy for the rest of his life.

More recently, a cousin's fiancee was giving me the vibe at a wedding. Not saying anything really wrong, but the vibe was there and it was very squidgy. A few months later their wedding was called off. Not a big surprise to me.

All you have to do is edit your profile name, it's easy. Many regs do this anyway.;)

Time out with that boring beige sheeet.

  21. EUPN, I think most of us are way too lazy to bother with that. :)

  22. RocketQueen - I'm so sorry that happened to you. That is really creepy, gross.

  23. My best friend's fiance hit on me the night before the wedding.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Aww, I'm so sorry RocketQueen.

My exhubby's brother got hammered one Christmas and tried to feel me up in the kitchen... went as far as trying to steal second base. I knew him first and I always suspected he was mad my hubby got me instead of him. It ended when his visibly pregnant wife walked in the room.

My creepy uncle always tries to pat my ass as well.

  25. My husbands best friend. Nick hit on everyone, so why not me. He slept with 3 of my girlfriends.

    ReplyDelete
  26. My best friend's (at the time) husband reached inside my dress and grabbed my bare breast.
Did I mention it was on his wedding day?
Did I also mention I was the maid of honor?
Oh yes, his new bride was right next to him - but looking the other way.
I have not seen them since. She has no idea why. :(

    ReplyDelete
  27. Thanks for the sympathy, folks. It still makes me sad & sick to think about. He is/was my second father since I was 3. I'm 35 now.

And sympathy to the rest of you - there are some pretty messed up people/experiences out there. I hope one of the male readers pops up with a story about an inappropriate female advance, cause right now it's just looking like a lot of asshole men! lol

  28. This was my ex-husband's, step mom's, younger sister's husband, but everytime he would see me at family gatherings he would always insist on kissing me "hello" on the lips. Just a peck, but I didn't see him saying hello to any of the other family that way. Ewe.

    ReplyDelete
  29. No family member that I can think of, but I was at my girlfriends wedding and her sister, who was her maid of honor had a boyfriend who was damn near ready to take me in the bathroom.

  30. A friend's alcoholic, middle-aged brother, whom she never talked about. When we arrived to her families cabin on a girl's weekend, he was there, passed out on the floor, bleeding because he fell off the couch after passing out and hit his head on the glass coffee table. At one point during the weekend I asked my friend what we were going to do, her brother grabbed my hand and said "I know what you and I can do but my sister probably wouldn't like it."

  31. does sleeping with an old friend's fiancee and fooling around with another friend's wife count?

  32. Here's one about a female behaving inappropriately:

Summertime family gathering at my mom's house. We were all outside, but of course people wandered in and out of the house to get more food, use the bathroom, etc.

After it was over, THREE of my sisters had their boyfriends come up to them and say, "Don't you _ever_ leave me alone with your brother's wife."

Every single one of them had the same story: when he went inside, this woman (a good seven to ten years older than these teenaged boys) followed him inside, cornered him, and groped him. None of the guys called her out on it, but they were traumatized, and told their s.o.'s about it afterward.

We knew she was trash, but we never thought she'd stoop that low. Oh, and of course she was a loud 'n proud fundamentalist Christian.

She's now an ex-member of the family. Brother finally wised up after the doctor told him his health problem was actually an STD.

  33. Yes. My first cousin. With my sister and his sister watching, he lifted me out of my chair and started carrying me off. He had a death grip on me -- it was strangely hard to get away. It was very disturbing to me and all the women.

Well, there was Uncle Ed who kept wanting all us girl cousins to sit on his lap even after we were 16 or 17. And my ex, who tried to force his way into my mom's bathroom where she was dressing, because he wanted to "see your t*ts".

Probably the creepiest for me (and I'm leaving out my son's Big Brother who molested him) was when I was first divorced, still active in a religious organization, on the board of directors, etc., and every married man I worked with on the board played grab-a$$ with me every chance they got. I hated the idea that I was suddenly fair game because I was newly single. I felt sorry for their wives, and lost all respect for them.

  36. My aunts husband got a little bit too touchy feely with me one time. I was a boy about 14 at the time. A few years later, his son got caught downloading child pornography, and ended up killing himself. Makes you wonder.

  38. My brother in law had a huge crush on me, and we flirted on and off for 13 years. I'll be honest, I liked him a lot, but I was skeeved out by the idea of this flirting going any further.

    ReplyDelete
  39. In my family, no that has never happened, but we do joke around alot.. the running joke is that my sister's husband was supposed to marry my other sister.. from time to time we all lay claim to him and we now have included the other sisters boyfriend.. If it helps to lighten the mood he almost turned purple from laughing so hard on thanksgiving from our teasing. It's just a joke in our family, but if one got out of line that would be the end of it.

  40. Oh yeah. My mom's creepy cousin. He started pestering me to sit on his lap like I was a little girl when I was about 12 or 13. I mostly avoided him, then when I was 16 I stopped caring if I got in trouble and told him he was a creep and to fuck off or I'd kick him in the balls. He tried to tell my mom I was "sassy" and cussing, to get me in trouble, and she didn't care. He never bothered me after that, but in any case I'm thinking I have a good guess as to why not one of his six daughters attended his funeral.

Oh, and if that isn't bad enough, the reason my mom didn't care that I told him off - she suspected he was a creep. His father had hit on her when she was a teenager. Her own uncle. He was my grandmother's older sister's husband, and I never liked him or my great aunt much, but after I heard that I was never in the same room with him again.

  43. If that last post was directed at me, the wife found out a couple of years ago, threw all kinds of fits, and won't let him out of her sight any more.

He's banned from going to football games, hanging out with the guys, etc. Turned out that she suspected he was having affairs when he was away on business. Whether that was true or not, I don't know.

If I ever saw him again, I would slap him.

  44. WOW on these stories. Yuck.

Never had any family member full on flirt/hit on me, but definitely have had other inappropriate comments made.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Not a family member but my best friend in high schools dad, out of the blue, grabbed my ass while I was visiting his toy store at the mall. I laughed it off but now that I am older I see how perferted it was! I of course never told her. She would have been mortified!
