Hailee Steinfeld Sits Next To Lea Michele

In the words of Andy Samberg from SNL this past weekend, "Awk-ward." Hailee Steinfeld who has actual acting talent was seated next to Lea Michele duing the SAG Awards. In an interview last month, Hailee told about the first time she tried to meet Lea Michele and to get her autograph and how Lea just blew right by her and did not have time for an autograph or picture. After learning about the incident and how Hailee actually is a "someone," Lea said she felt bad and blamed it all on a Production Assistant or the grueling schedule at Glee which does not allow her even 30 seconds to take a picture. Uh huh.

Well, as you can see above, Hailee managed to finally get her picture and Lea got to stand next to someone who is actually nominated for an acting award which Lea will never sniff. Can you tell I am not a big fan of Lea? Hailee is teenager. I always think celebrities should have time to sign for a kid or a teenager or a parent with kids. If you want to blow off someone, blow of the guy who has 40 copies of the same photo, has not shaved in a week and keeps offering you a dollar if he can touch your hair. That person you can blow off.

  1. It was big of Hailee to let it go, I guess. I don't have much nice to say about Lea either. Including about how orange she is.

  2. Lmao @ how she towers over that bitch.

  3. I hate Lea Michele with the white-hot intensity of a billion exploding suns. She is a horrid little snot on an even more horrid show, and her voice is horrid, too, sorry. So what if she can sing VERY LOUDLY? Doesn't make her pleasant to listen to, and her unwarranted diva attitude fucking blows.

    *phew*

    Okay. Rant over.

Is Glee cancelled yet, or what?

  4. I just hope Hailee stays this classy after a few years in the business. She's off to a great start, so far.

  5. Rumor has it Lea Michele's people arranged for the seating to deflect the heat from the "Lea is a fucking bitch who dissed a 13-year-old" stories.

They can spin until they lose their lunch. Lea Michele is and always will be a fucking bitch.

  6. And if you don't have time for a fan picture, just say "I'm so sorry, but I don't have time". Now that wasn't so hard, was it?

  7. Interesting. That photo doesn't show the GIANT STICK UP LEA MICHELE'S ASS.

Doesn't she realize that if she continues to act out like that she'll get the "Shannen Doherty" treatment? Finally Hollywood boycotted that nasty little snot and she was reduced to hosting Scare Tactics on some third tier network.

It's one thing when you hear of that snotty diva Patti LuPone throwing a fit, but Lea, you ain't no Patti LuPone.

  8. Lea couldn't talk to Hailee because Lea was struggling to stay in character as the self-entitled bitch she plays on Glee. That takes a lot of effort even for someone with the acting talent of a Lea Michele.

  9. All kidding aside, Hailee Steinfeld is going to have a pretty good career, I think. And when Glee is canceled Lea Michele will be doing dinner theater.

  10. reminds me of seeing sarah mcclachlan in concert. 3 girls---i'd guess they were 12 or 13---were right in front of her on the front row holding up a sign and saying 'we love you, sarah!!' they were so cute and so awestruck to be in front of her.

she never fucking looked at them. how hard is a little direct eye contact and an 'i love you too?' it would've made their whole year.

  11. I could give a shit less about Lea Michelle... or Glee. Hailee though is awesome!

I think she got screwed over though on the nomination category. Clearly in the current version of True Grit her character is a lead character... should have gotten best actress nom, not best supporting.

  12. Lea needs a total attitude adjustment - and realize she is not as amazing as she thinks she is. Can she sing? Sure - but her her acting isn't that great. Yes it works for Glee, but her over-done theatrical style may not work elsewhere. She should ask Hailee for some tips.

Interesting how her two movie roles are an animated musical and an ensemble movie where she plays a singer. I'm sure she can't wait to be asked to actually act and not sing.

Was she popular on Broadway - yes but not as popular as she likes to think. Lea was known to the theatre crowd NY and that's it. She needs to realize the world doesn't revolve around her.

Hey - maybe she's the new Mischa Barton - with less drugs and more attitude.

  13. @ nancer - I'd heard that during the very first Lilith tour that SM was very insulated and it wasn't until the Indigo Girls said to all the performers, "Hey, let's jam together!" that Sarah got off her high horse and joined in.

  14. I agree with Enty in all respects. Kids don't count in weirdo fan requests. And this was definitely not a weird request.

I do think Lea is talented, though with a very inflated ego. She is good on Broadway, but films--I suspect she will not be so good unless playing a caricature of herself. I guess we'll see. She is good in Glee because it is a very limited role.

I haven't seen True Grit but am looking forward to it.

  15. @nancer - That's disappointing to hear about SM. :(

You know Lea was secretly seething that Hailee had the balls to call her out on her actions.

  16. Beth, True Grit is a lot of fun! Her character is awesome, and I wish I had a teenage daughter to show her Hailee's character as a cool role model. She's very brave and determined.
It's actually rated PG-13. And Matt Damon is great in it too! He totally deserved a nomination.

On Topic: Not only was Hailee a kid, she was ON THE LOT, which meant she was either in the industry or the kid of someone important. LM is an idiot.

  17. I love that Hailee dressed like a teenager instead of a mini grownup.

Jennifer, her nomination was strategically planned based on the way the Oscars work. Best Actress is often awarded for strong careers (hello, Sandra Bullock) and Best Supporting Actress is often given to newer actresses with potential (hello, Marisa Tomei).

  18. mango, this was at lilith fair. but i didn't see the indigo girls. it was jewel, emmylou harris, joan osbourne (who stole the show), shawn colvin and lisa loeb.

i was looking forward to it for sarah mclachlan but she pissed me off so bad, i barely listened to her.

  19. LM reminds me of a frenemy I have. You know that one chick that is sooooo annoying but when things are going great in your life you still want her number so you can text her how awesome you are? No one has any of those...ok...moving on... :D

  20. Blech, I hope y'all are right about Lea not having a career after Glee.

  21. I guess I have to expect the intense Lea hate here. I have information from the exact opposite side of the coin, but I will keep it to myself or share it elsewhere.

  22. oo FS share it here! i actually like lea, i think she may have started off as a bitch w/an ego but i think it has definitely cooled off and she seems a lot nicer. it's important to keep in mind that this probably happened 1-2years ago and not actually very recently.
