Yesterday the big news in the afternoon was that Lindsay was going to be on Letterman tomorrow night doing a Top Ten list. The list would have presumably made fun of her recent bouts with the law. It would have been good for her and to put her into a more positive light. Everyone loves self deprecating humor. Well, today CBS had to retract their earlier announcement because Lindsay pulled out. Well, kind of pulled out She says she never agreed to do it. Letterman;s people said they had spoken with someone close to Lindsay about the booking but would not reveal who it was.
Turns out it was Michael Lohan. He told the world it was his idea and that he coordinated between Letterman and Lindsay and even went so far as to arrange with Lindsay transportation to a studio in LA where she would have performed the bit.
Everything was going great until Lindsay's people found out about it and shut it down. Why would they shut it down? It isn't like Lindsay is making national guest appearances on any other shows. Idiots.
Maybe Letterman's crack sucks.

Other than legal issues on what they would've had her say, which her attorney could have handled efficiently, I don't see the problem.
Big mistake.
She already has trouble getting gigs.This is yet another reason for people to say "She's unreliable, don't book her."
Enty as a lawyer you should know that anything she does publicly can be used against her in court.
ReplyDeleteHer people were right to shut it down. It could have a negative effect if it goes to a jury trial and can be put in a light that she is again thumbing her nose at the law.
Well all I know is that it isn't Lindsay's fault. It's never her fault.
ReplyDeleteYes, I'm in agreement that Loco-Lo's lawyers shot this down. That and the fact she probably can't leave the state until the "alleged" jewelry theft is settled.
ReplyDeleteSorry, I'm Team Lindsay on this one. If she let Michael manipulate her into this, he'd just continue to try to take further advantage of her. If you take the good, you have to take the bad, and she needs him to stay the hell out of her life. (If only she would do the same with her witch mother.)

ReplyDeleteYeah, she probably should have done it but if the bit contradicted with her statement of innocence, I'm sure her lawyer probably advised against it. Or maybe she thought it would make her seem like she's not taking the charges seriously? (Which I'm sure she isn't).

ReplyDeleteI feel sorry for Lindsay, she is about as screwed up as a person can get and her parents are reason number one. I hope to h*ll that girl is able to get her life straightened out eventually.
I never thought I'd see the day I'd say something like this (marks calendar), but I agree with Lindsay on this one.
ReplyDeleteWe can only speculate that this would have been taking positively by the public for her when most people already can't stand her. But in reality it would have pissed the judge off. As it stands now, she has a decent change of fighting these charges and I don't blame her for not wanting to compromise that.

I know Enty tries to get as much confirmation as he can for his blinds, but unless there's video, or multiple witnesses, how can you ever be 100% sure what really happened?

ReplyDeleteI think she left to keep the baby. I don't believe the adoption was finalized when this was going on. If I was the birth mother, the attorney for the birth mother or the adoptive agency, I'd be pretty freaked out to have Jesse anywhere near that baby.
I agree with Lindsay on this one. If she made fun of herself on Letterman, it would have seemed like she wasn't taking these theft charges or her legal situation seriously.

I think it's one thing to do whatever in the privacy of your own bedroom with your significant other BUT it's another thing to find out he does this regularly with any whore and hooker he can find. It doesn't surprise me that she wouldn't know. Liars and manipulators are very good at what they do. Don't think it can't happen to you. Trust no one!
