Blind Item
This host of an A+ network reality show and producer and radio guy was at a club two weeks ago. At the club he started making out with some random woman he had been flirting with. Apparently most people were shocked not that he was cheating on his D list celebrity girlfriend, but that he was actually making out with a woman.
Gee. This is a toughie. Let me think...

There was no annoucement about photos. Mooshkie just assumed that's why Enty stopped them. In all likelihood it's probably a money issue given that it's been over a year since he last renewed the licensing fees.

ReplyDelete@Jessica - there was no announcement, but things seem to be pretty much back to normal except for the photos, and there were a LOT of complaints in the comments before they stopped, so that's what I think happened. No, I'm not sure, but if I were Enty and everyone were complaining and I was spending money on them, I might stop, too :(

ReplyDeleteEnty wasn't spending money on the photos, the photos were paid for using donated money from the readers, that's the whole point. It was over a year ago and it's likely the fees have to be renewed. That seems like the most likely reason to me. He's probably just trying to figure out a way to get the money together in the meantime, so just give it a bit of time. I'm sure he'll let everyone know what's happening soon.

ReplyDeleteFrom previously having a blog, I don't think many people realize the work involved unless you blog yourself. You start out all excited and enthusiastic, then you come to a point where you realize you have to do it every. single. day. over and over. The same shit. And you kind of start feeling like you need a break. Then if you do take a break, you don't want to come back. Maybe Enty is going through some "I need a break for a little while" stuff.
But anyway, someone just ask him about the pictures please!

I started reading gossip blogs as a way to quit smoking (it worked, yay me) I followed a link here from Dlisted and was hooked by the pictures. That was in 2007. This blog was soooo different from all the others. I've noticed the writing style has changed lately too. Funny how we have all picked up on that.
I really hope Enty is ok. I find it odd that he hasn't mentioned anything about the changes or the lack of the radio show in the past two weeks other than to say he had a virus...then nothing...just the obvious ghost writer...@mr or ms ghost writer, is our Enty ok? Will he be back?
I don't care for the radio show. At this point in my life I don't have the time for it. I tried to listen the first week and I kept getting interrupted. I get to read the blog while I watch tv with the family, or from my phone when I am bringing my kids here, there, and everywhere. It's my calgon moment.
Oh, and I really miss FFF ;-)
Did 2 radio shows cost $3000? If you ask people to give you money and promise something in return, you are a cheat and a liar when you don't follow through. Add to that the lack of any comment or reason for not delivering, and you are a snake as well. But please, continue to make excuses and kiss this loser's ass. It's like watching a documentary about brainwashed, religious cult members. I can't get enough!

ReplyDeleteThe White Irish Drinkers story (yesterday) sounded like Enty. I'm an optimist and hope it's a sign that the CDAN we all miss from 2006-2007 might come back again. I'd give up photos and be happy with less posts if Enty brought back his old story telling style.

I think he had someone filling in and helping him, and then just transferred it over to her full time 2-3 months ago. I think it is "Carly" and maybe he was trying to help her get the radio thing off the ground as well.
ReplyDeleteWhat REALLY annoys me though, is that he/she doesn't just say so. It could be as simple as:
"Wow! who knew the blog would take off like this? In order to keep up the pace, I'm going to bring in some advertisers and hire some writers to help out and keep posts, blinds and pics coming all day long. You guys have been great- thanks so much for the support through this growth!"
But instead, they think they are fooling us by throwing in the occasional "bacon" "basement" and "ex-wives" references. And serving up rehashed TMZ and Radar posts like a poster above said.

ReplyDeleteI liked the photos. They were unique from other blogs (who tend to do Random links to pictures or articles; lots of clicking-> annoying).
I also miss the pics. But what really bothers me is the obvious fact that it's a completely different voice on the site. Meaner, and rehashing other sites. Nothing really original beyond some of the kindnesses. The meanness of the straight items is what is really surprising to me. I miss the old days! But, sadly, you can't turn back time.

ReplyDeleteI think more attention should be paid to the blog as opposed to the radio show. Perhaps Enty et al (and yes, it does seem like he's not alone in this endeavor) should re-evaluate their priorities. I got sucked in by MV and also Timmy/Shimmy. Those were the days.
And while I'm at it, how hard would it be to make it so you didn't have to type www in front of the URL. Not hard at all. ;-)

Look at Celebitchy as an example - it's clear who is writing each post. Maybe bring in a team of like minded bloggers?

ReplyDeleteI never thought of Ryan as gay or straight. I always thought he was A-sexual. I also read a BV a while back that was basically revealed that it was Ryan and he was not interested in sex with men or women.
ReplyDeleteSyd, and the others who didn't like the photos..... There was a reason for them that many might not have realized. Enty would semi reveal blinds or hints in the snide remarks attached to the photos (or even just squeezing in a photo unbeknown of the blind her/himself, just to set up your subconscious). You'd just have to pay attention and read the words rather then just scroll past them. They were a treat if you knew how to enjoy them.

It used to be funny and snarky and have awesome blinds (MV and coke mom being some of my favs). I hate the bacon references these days - you aren't fooling anyone. ReplyDeleteFirst, I would like to ask you to try to get the spelling of Mooshki's name correct (you messed it up in both of your comments) so that you have a chance of being taken seriously by the other readers here. Or are you perhaps deliberately misspelling it to display your obvious disdain for her? I'm not saying that you *are* doing it on purpose, but I certainly wouldn't put passive-aggressive behavior like that past many of the folks who currently comment on this blog.
Second, if Mooshki posited a theory about why the pictures have gone by the wayside, how is that any different from what you have done? You two may not agree on why the pictures are gone, but you both have presented logical arguments and you should both be respected for stating your *opinions* on the matter. The truth is that we readers do not have--and likely never will have--the real explanation, so why bother speculating? ESPECIALLY when your speculation occurs in the very same breath that you shoot down someone else's speculation...
I just don't get it.
I don't miss the pictures. I always wished they would be on a separate page and you had the option of seeing them. They took a long time to load on my work computer, take up data if I look at it on my phone (when wifi isn't enabled), etc. One set would be ok but three or four?
ReplyDeleteI don't mind the quality of writing. I've been coming here off and on for a few years and I've noticed now things are spelled right/proofread, etc. Most of the time.
I had to leave Celebitchy and find a new permanent gossip home. That site has turned into "Actress Name - OMG she's such a bitch, let's hate her" posts.
