BuzzFoto Blind Item

This B-ish television/movie star loves to bake and just bought part of an upscale bakery in New York. She keeps it secret that at least once a week when her schedule permits she goes into the bakery in the early morning hours to help bake the goods because she enjoys it so much. Based on her figure she isn’t eating any of her creations, but we hear they’re delicious….

  2. Wasn't Jennifer talking about moving to New York?

  3. Sarah Jessica Parker?

  4. This sounds a bit to me like Madonna or Gwyneth P. Of course they won't eat the food! They only eat what their chefs prepare at home whatever they had organically grown in their own garden. And Gwen wanted to have her own Martha-Stewart like show, hence her cooking GOOP blogs.

  5. A part of me is SCREAMING Amy Sedaris...because she actually does enjoy baking...but she hasn't been doing anything lately.

    I have no clue.

  7. If this was Blake Lively, she would be giving interviews about it. No way she would keep it "secret".

  8. Jennifer ... my name is drawing a blank. Ben Affleck's wife. She loves to bake.

  9. My first thought was Jennifer Garner.

  10. I was actually thinking it was Leighton Meester rather than Blake...

  11. I LOVE to bake myself, and would certainly do this too!

  12. I believe Jen & Ben live in LA. For some reason I was thinking Katie Holmes...I remember she loves cupcakes and Enty posted pics of her at cupcake shops etc...she is def not eating them though!

  13. Garner sounds like a great guess.

Is Blake lively really B list? Really?

  14. My first thought was Blake Lively as well, especially after I remembered reading this blog post:

  15. Man, I would LOVE to do this! I love love love to bake. It's hard to find people to eat it though, guess I dont' know enough kids, haha

  16. You know, I'd say that Lively's getting to be B-list. She's been in several high profile (and well performing) ensemble films, and Gossip Girl's still got a huge following.

Totally jumping on the Lively bandwagon- I thought of that post, too!

  17. I really hope it's Leighton Meester.

If it's Blake Lively, I will never eat a baked good ever again.

  18. I baked for a restaurant a few years ago (after rehab I needed a non-professional job for a while) and I loved waking up at five and making up a dozen loaves of bread, a hundred cinnamon rolls and a variety of specialty breads. Baking is a very enjoyable activity -- the physicality, the results, the smell...

  19. I'm going with maureen flannigan she was on cupcake wars with some lady named hollis wilder

  20. I would have said Lively based on her multiple interviews about loving to bake, but Jessica has a good point. Everything Lively does this days is leveraged for maximum publicity.

  21. Blake Lively is B- and wasn't there a blind a while back about a baking chick who seduced her costar with treats.

  22. Sandra Bullock's sister has a bakery in Texas...but she's way higher and not a TV actress..

  23. You're right percicles77. She's talked about her love of baking before and she shoots GG in NY.

  24. Oh how I wish this is Amy Sedaris. I absolutely love her and wish I had grown up with her as a sister (and with her brother David too). She is not just a comedian or actress or writer---she is a true character, one in a billion.

About 10 years ago I remember reading that she would still (at that time) occasionally pick up waitressing shifts at some small family restaurant for the fun of it, b/c she so enjoyed chatting and interacting with all types of people. That history could indicate the blind is her, but I don't know.

  25. Kristen Stewart supposedly loves to bake AND she hates publicity. Maybe her?

  26. Blake Lively is a slag for targeting married men. I mean, if she targets them and actually has to seduce them with baked goods, she must have trouble getting them to notice her without cupcakes.

  27. @Libby - I want it to be Amy Sedaris, too.

  28. Gossip Girl films in NYC, and I can't even count how many Blake/baking references I've encountered in the past year. And good for her for doing something unglamorous. Everyone should work in the food service industry at least once!

Honestly, I think it's cool when people have an interest in cooking. It's a really creative, fulfilling activity. It almost makes me like her, but then I remember her performance in The Town. Yeeesh.

It would be awesome if it were Amy, but I don't think they would have included that line about her figure if so. NOT that Amy isn't svelte, but she's no Boobs Legsly.

Sorry, but LOL at the Madge guesses. That bitch hasn't touched a muffin pan since 1976, probably.

  29. Blake Lively isn't a B movie actress. She may be a B TV actress, but that's it. She totally overrated, just cause she knows Anna Wintour. There is nothing about her that draws the audience in.

  30. @crila -- she's actually been in a few movies -- that Wandering Pants (whatever) series, the Private Lives of Pippa Lee, The Town, and maybe some other stuff.

She's overrated, but she'll be around for a while. :-/

  31. Blake Lively- she's apparently really, really into baking (the bakerella post).

She was the guess for this blind.

  33. I also think it is Blake Lively. She is always talking about how she loves to cook and bake and wants to open multiple restaurants one day. Good for her if early morning baking is her secret vice.

  34. @amoteafloat - I have a friend who bakes when she's stressed out...and we're talking EPIC AMOUNTS of cupcakes and stuff. And then it just...sits or she has to drive an hour and a half away to get people to take them. And she wonders why she's having money issues...

It is a worthwhile hobby...if you have someone to actually eat what you cook.

And Amy's got a decent figure, but yeah, she isn't Bloke Not-So-Lovely.

  35. I went to one of Amy's book signings once and she brought her own homemade cupcakes to sell. Love her, but this isn't her. I don't think she'd hide her involvement, though, and I don't think she's B-ish (though she deserves to be!)

  36. i actually think this is aniston! she's an aquarius...they are creative and mysterious.

  37. Garner. She loves to cook and even tried to wrangle an invite to the Barefoot Contessa's show, but the Contessa squashed that dream. I think poor Jen had to slum with Martha Stewart.

I also had to laugh at the idea of Madonna in a kitchen. I'm sure she couldn't find any of her kitchens with a map and any cupcake she eats is baked by her personal chef(s) and consists of mostly flaxseed and water from ancient ice bergs or something equally ridiculous. Yum!

    ReplyDelete
  38. Garner would be a great guess, but doesn't she live in Canada? Makes it hard to commute early in the morning to the bakery in NYC.

I just don't think it's Blake Lively. I don't think she'd get up early in the morning for anything or anyone. She's a prima donna.

  39. I dont understand why this is a blind??? Baking???

  40. Just read this in the NYP and had to come add it because I think it fits pretty well. It was in their "We Hear" section.
That "Gossip Girl" star Kelly Rutherford has teamed up with New York bakery Eleni's Cookies to launch an exclusive gift box of signature hand-iced cookies, and she'll launch her Edible Couture collection at their Chelsea Market store Tuesday.
