In honor of All My Children and One Life To Live that got canceled today, I thought I would do a blind from each.
#1 - All My Children - This actor from the show who seems like he has been on there forever, annoys every teenager hired by the show by daily reminding them how many days left they have until they turn 18 and then can date him. He also loves to get handsy.
#2 - One Life To Live - This actress, who has been on the show for a long, long time has always slept with every actor in real life who she was sleeping with on the show. She called it method. I wonder what her husband would call it.
I don't watch either of these shows, but is that Eric Braden guy (I don't know if that's his real or character name!) on AMC?

ReplyDelete2. Kassie DePaiva for the second one? She met her husband James on the show, they did some very steamy scenes together, then finally admitted afterwards that they were dating. I think it broke up his marriage at the time.
Yeah, I've been watching both of these shows for decades...

My theatre professsor attend grad school with Walt Wiley and said he was a real "ass" and slept with the head of the dept. So, he would be my guess for the "All My Children".

No really it must be either Tad (Michael) or Jackson (Walt). I love both guys, but they're the best bets for being on the show for a long time. I believe Walt is married, but Michael is divorced.
#2 I thought about Dorian, but I think she's divorced. Could it be Saint Vicki?
Oh, that's too bad. Never watched either. I am still sad about As The World Turns. I hope Y&R and B&B keep going or I'll have to learn Spanish and watch telenovelos

ReplyDeleteI remember my dad was in the hospital near campus, and I would go visit him at lunch and we'd watch AMCs. One day he asked if we could watch something else. I asked why, and he said "because I'm actually starting to care what happens to Erica". LOL, well both shows had a good, long run.
I grew up watching those two soaps, and even though I haven't watched since the late 80s, early 90s, it makes me sad that they are canceling them. Especially given the dreck with which ABC will probably replace them.
ReplyDeleteOk on OLTL it could be Erika Slezak or Robin Strauss the woman who plays Dorian Lord. Kassie DePavia is super Christian if I'm not mistaken so can't see her for this, but you never know.

Ditto to the Walt Willey is an ass comment. I work for Disney and during Super Soap weekend, all the stars would be staying at our resort. I was waiting tables in the bar, 9 months pregnant, and every time I would walk behind where Willey was sitting, the asshole would try to trip me! I had some really cool guests there who offered to kick his ass for me. I seriously wouldn't have been able to get back up!
ReplyDeleteAnd he is supremely ugly in person! His face matches his attitude. Not to mention every year he had the same broke down, ugly stripper meet him at the bar every year. The bartenders swore he was gay and she was just a cover. I don't know about that, but just know he is a douche of the highest level.
This is so the Tad guy on AMC. I can see Dorian as the one on OLTL.

Tad is very touchy and always kidding around on the show. I still think it's him.

Erica Slezak's Father was a famous actor, so I'm thinking it's her with the reference to "method"

ReplyDelete#2-Erika Seeze-ack! LOL! I think in real life their personalities are reversed. I think Robin Strasser is the sweet one and Erika is more outgoing. Dorian dated a lot of young guys, so do you really think they went to Cougar Town with her? My bets are on Dorian.
And I don't think Cassie would have slept with both Todds AND Asa!!!
Didn't Dorian's real life husband dump her for Lucy Arnaz years ago? I don't know if she ever remarried. Erica on the other hand has been married to the same guy for a jillion years.
ReplyDeleteI will say Walt Wiley just because I saw him the other day and could. not. believe. how he looks exactly the way I remember him looking 20 years ago. Basically, hot. I could totally see him saying that to the young girls. Although the woman he was with when I saw him definitely was not a looker.
ReplyDeleteAbout 20 year's ago I worked with the sister of an actress who was on AMC and she knew I had a crush on Walt W. She told me he likes them young, like underage young (I swear.) So maybe something happened (A lawsuit or almost arrested) and now counting the days 'til they're 18 is an improvement and a way to stay out of jail...

I have been watching both shows for more than 30 years. I can't tell you how devastating this is to me. Really.

ReplyDeleteI started watching soaps when I was in grade school when we would visit my grandma. She liked 'Another World', 'The Doctors' and 'Days of Our Lives'. I was hooked through college, but then when Marlena became possessed I just couldn't, LOL. It's still sad to see some of the soaps go. I did watch, 'As The World Turns' way back with my roommate and became acquainted with Meg Ryan and Marisa Tomei through that one.

Only she, Erika Slezak, and Robin Strauss would qualify as being on "for a long, long time" right? I just hope it's not Starr LOL!
