Blogger & Facebook & A Blind Item

Because Blogger was down for so long this morning, I updated on Facebook. Lots and lots of posts up there, and more coming throughout the day. One thing that Blogger cut off yesterday was the blind item. I posted it on Facebook yesterday, but for those who do not have Facebook, here is the blind from yesterday. Old Hollywood.

This Academy Award winning actor who was nominated more than once, used to dress like a woman and would go to bars and hit on men. He loved nothing more than taking a guy home and revealing his "surprise" when they got there. He loved it most when they stayed after the reveal.

  1. Gary Cooper won twice and nominated several times as well.

  2. You would think this guy would have had the crap beat out of him on a regular basis!!

    Very risky behaviour!

Whoever this is/was, I'd be surprised if he didn't also get his azz beat more than once, too!

  9. I want to say John Wayne - because how awesome would that be?

  11. OT--any of y'all see that supposedly it has been confirmed Ashton Kutcher will replace Sheen on 2.5 men? I read that he'll get $800k-$900k per episode.

    Dick.

  12. I heard gossip years ago about Burt Lancaster dressing up, so I'll have to go with him.

  13. Seems like it would have to be a guy who would make a convincing-looking woman. A young Marlon Brando would have been pretty enough to do that.

    ReplyDelete
  14. @selena - read that, too, but salary closer to $650K? Either way, I'll never watch it with him. Almost anyone but Kutcher would have been better. I'd like to say this will crash and burn, but then again, I can't understand how Kutcher has so many fans in the first place.

  15. Anybody here ever see Repo Man?
    "John Wayne was a fag!"
    "The hell you say!"
    "John Wayne was a fag!"
    "The hell he was!"
"He was so, you boys. I went to install some two-way mirrors at his pad in Brentwood, and he come to the door in a dress..."

  16. I'm with trashtalker, that or he must have shown up at cattle call time for the hook-up.

  17. Based on Patty's list (thanks for posting), I'm going to go with Charles Laughton.

  18. the best part of the story about Ashton Kutcher on Two and a Half Men is that the part almost went to Hugh Grant, but negotiations broke down a few days ago. That would possibly have been inspired casting. Hugh does an excellent jerk. (but I love him!)

  19. ^^agree! I would have PVRd that sucker every week!

    ReplyDelete
  20. Used to enjoy Two and Half men, but Sheen's antics finally put me off ! - Kutcher - ugh bad casting ! Would have watched Hugh, he's sleazy cute !

  21. Ashton can't act for shit. I'll bet he'll just dust off his Kelso character and cash his weekly cheque.

How long until Demi shows up? I'll bet she shows up during November sweeps. Then of course, everyone will be expecting Bruce.

  22. sounds like a dirty Bugs Bunny cartoon

  23. James Dean, Marlon Brando

Not Karl Malden. Had to throw him in because of the schnozz

  25. OMG I love Repo Man! One of my all-time faves.

And I have heard/read multiple times through my life that Marion indeed liked the boys.

  26. Midnight Cowboy - Jon Voight to Dustin Hoffman - "What about John Wayne? You sayin' John Wayne was a fag?"

  27. On the list given by Patty, the most obvious guesses are:

Laurence Olivier (confirmed as bi, lived with Danny Kaye for years, but spent more time in the UK than in Hollywood, 5 ft 11)
Marlon Brando (bi, 5 ft 9)
Burt Lancaster (bi but 6 ft 1, not very convincing as a woman, so...)

Charles Laughton was in the closet but according to his wife, he was mostly a masochist who hired men to whip him.

    My guess is Brando.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Charles Laughton was homosexual. Elsa "Bride of Frankenstein" Lanchester had a childless marriage with him.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I have also heard Burt Lancaster, so he's my vote...it would also explain why he didn't get beat up--ol' Burt was a tough sonofa..

  30. RQ..Yeah, hate kutcher and his smug ass self...T&HM is ovah! And specially if Demi shows up..Or Bruce...It's just a matter of time. Sheen will be "winning" in no time.

  31. John Wayne was rumored to dress in drag. I'll go with him.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Unless the guy in drag is very young, or for some reason Asian, you can usually tell it is a man in drag. They might be very convincing, but I doubt any of these men the actor picked up were all that surprised after the reveal.

And FTR, yes that is very risky behaviour on the actors part. Plus, it is just plain dishonest. I know people lie all the time, but any potential sex partner deserves to know certain facts before they proceed.

  33. Everything is also reposted on the Crazy Days and Night fan page on Facebook.

It's set so that everyone can see it.

  34. @Angela - Wow, thanks for the juicy gossip. I'd not heard that stuff before.

If Charles Laughton dressed as a woman could get laid, I think any woman could, LOL.

I'm going with John Wayne. I can see a guy who idolized him picking up a woman because "she" looked like him. And if you see younger pictures of him, he was rather pretty and probably made a decent looking woman.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Jeff Chandler is said to have liked womens clothing, but no Academy Award there..

    ReplyDelete
  36. Ashton Kutcher? Holy shit.

I knew that Charlie Sheen was out of touch with reality, but now I'm wondering about Chuck Lorre. WTF could he have been thinking? I used to watch because of Berta and the mom but that show is officially dead to me.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Wait - so if a couple has a childless marriage then someone is gay? I didn't get that memo. Good to know.

    ReplyDelete
  38. didn't the killer tomato movie come about around when repo man did?

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0080391/

    1978

    ReplyDelete
  39. Was this before there was electricity in bars because the only way John Wayne would pass for a woman is if he's trying to pick up a blind man in a candlelit room.

And the truth was revealed before anything happened. They just got back to the stars place when the truth was revealed and said star probably knew where all the weapons were stashed if things got out of hand. But it amazes me that people seem to think that getting your ass beat over this is just a natural occurence for deception. If that's the case, I suppose a lot of married men who fail to mention that little detail should be in for some major beatdowns in the future.

    @Katja

Killer Tomatoes was in 1978, Repo Man in 1983 or 1984.

"Let's go do some crimes." --Harry Dean Stanton. Still a great line, which requires a minimum buy in of age 54.

  41. Jamie Foxx!!!

The tabs ran old drag pix of him years ago

(nominated for Collateral and Ray the same year)

    ReplyDelete
  42. Bugs Bunny - Oscar winning rabbit who frequently dressed in drag trying to pick up Elmer Fudd. Maybe he succeeded a few times...
