Next season will be the last for Patrick Dempsey on Grey's Anatomy. Unlike other stars who have left the show, I don't think there is anything left for Patrick to prove and 8 years on a show will test the patience of anyone. He has made lots and lots of money, can switch over to movies and draw a crowd and go race cars more if he sticks to movies. Plus, if he just does movies, he will probably continue to do only monthly magazines and they have the ability to get their subject to take their clothes off much more easily than a tabloid. So, when Vanity Fair Italy says Patrick, please take off your clothes (not the picture above) and give us an interview, he says yes, but if Life and Style offers the same thing, he will probably pass.
I cannot believe that maudlin shitshow is still on the air! Are there any characters on Grey's who have yet to exchange bodily fluids? I stopped watching about five years ago.

ReplyDeleteI still watch it. Begrudgingly. It's pretty bad. I want to say the show jumped the shark when Meredith fell in the water. There have been episodes here and there that have been good but it definitely lost it's magic after the first few seasons.
He's leaving a steady paycheck for more movie non-success? That's a pretty ballsy move!
ReplyDeleteApparently all the original cast's contracts are up after this season, so many of them will probably leave. At least Ellen and Patrick, which is good, because there is not a lot more they can do with those characters imo.

ReplyDeleteWasn't this a blind vice or something? 2 big stars of a popular tv drama who were romantically involved on the show, but hated each other in real life. One was threatening to leave if the other didn't get kicked off the show...or something like that.
