ReplyDelete@Goodgrief -- yeah, but I think that's what Enty is kind of saying: this person is SO famous that she only *needs* to go by one name. If the name "Shakira" is spoken aloud, chances are good that the same face instantly pops to mind in most heads.
ReplyDeleteBut, honestly, it's not as if there are many other Madonnas, Chers, and Shakiras competing for album sales, anyway. It kinda makes it easy for those women to just forget about their surnames, professionally. One-worders are rarely named things like Jennifer or Laura or Melissa.

For #3/4, I don't really have a guess, but reading the phrase "talent has probably dropped" makes me think that her ... parts... have gone south, and that's what she was really known for. Shakira still seems to be well in order, Cher is way to old and plastic for this to be her.

Maybe 19 years ago I could see Madonna as this blind. But ever since her kids have been born, she has pretty much stopped antics like that to get attention.

ReplyDeleteMadonna is crass and can't sing. Her taste in clothes is atrocious. Her brother used to advise her - now her young daughter helps her. Her hair plastered flat on the top of her head then hanging down is very aging and her new face with the broad cheeks etc is creepy and desperate. She has always been a no-talent singing juvenile songs ie "Papa Don't Preach" - barf! barf! barf! No wonder she started using her albums as door stops in London; perhaps she listed to music other than her own.
