Andy Cohen Is Out Of His MInd

Normally I am a big fan of Andy Cohen, but I think in this case he has lost his mind. How many of you want to pay up to $350 to see four Real Housewives speak about absolutely nothing? Yeah that is what I thought. Apparently the producers of Real Housewives thought it would be a great idea to send four cast members to three separate cities where they would speak in front of audiences. You know, similar to the way SYTYCD, Idol, and DWTS hit the road in a series of shows to capitalize on the money you are willing to fork out to see what you just saw on television for free.

The wives are only going to three US cities, and the wives are not even a good match. Tickets range from $50 to $170, and if you want to have the VIP treatment, that will cost you and extra $200. What do you get for that extra money? You get one free drink, the chance to meet a housewife and you get to walk the red carpet.

As much as I love the show, I would not go even it was happening in Los Angeles. It is just like an episode of Andy Cohen's show which is free.

Atlantic City, Oct. 1, Caesars Circus Maximus Theater
Caroline Manzo, New Jersey
LuAnn de Lesseps, New York City
Kyle Richards, Beverly Hills
Vicki Gunvalson, Orange County

Hammond, Indiana (Chicago), Oct. 8, The Venue at Horseshoe Casino
Sonja Morgan, New York City
Gretchen Rossi, Orange County
Lisa Vanderpump, Beverly Hills
Phaedra Parks, Atlanta

Atlanta, Oct. 15, Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre
Nene Leakes, Atlanta
Jill Zarin, New York City
Melissa Gorga, New Jersey
Marysol Patton, Miami

Thanks Meghan!

  1. I started watching RHOBH because I was curious about what ever happened to Kim Richards. She is about my age and seemed like she was just about in every other kid movie when I was growing up. Other than that I caught 3 episodes of RHONY and stopped watching because it gave me a headache. So no I wouldn't go pay to see these...ahem...ladies.

I don't think I will even watch RHOBH Season 2. I was on the fence at the end of last season because I think they were treading on some unethical territory by capitalizing on Kim's seeming drug/alcohol issues. Now with the news about Taylor's husband I think I will take a pass altogether. I can't imagine that the show didn't haave some impact on that IMHO though the show didn't cause their problems, just made them worse.

  3. I'd go to the show, but not for $300.

I was shocked to see the news about Russell this morning.

  4. Will we be allowed to ask questions?

"Long time viewer of all the shows. This is for all the housewives. Are you as shallow, self-centered, entitled, vain, money-hungry, and hag-like in real life as you appear on TV? Thank you."

  5. @Patty

LOL, hey I say we take up a collection to send you to ask that ;>

  6. i've only watched the atl housewives for an entire season, and bits of nj...but this all seems so ridiculous i can't fathom it making $ or selling out.

  7. I watch some of the housewives shows. I stopped watching NJ because I just couldn't stomach Caroline. It's interesting that she's going to be at a circus with LuAnn. Can't stand her either.

I wouldn't pay money to see these freaks and I hope it's a big bomb.

  8. Caroline and the Countess?!?!?! No, surely you jest. I couldn't imagine needing money so bad if I was the Countess. Nene and Jill Zarin? That would be good. But none of it is worth money. Trash entertainment is only good for TV. I bet none of it ever happens and will be cancelled due to lack of sales.

  9. I'll pitch in for Patty to go and ask about Kim's wig. What does her hair look like? Is she bald? I was ever so saddened in Season...2? when Nene failed in her attempt to snatched her wig. :(

  10. What happened with Russell this morning???

And Lisa VANDERPUMP was, is, and will always be the best name of any Real Housewife. That name alone encapsulates all the fluffy narcissistic pampered nonsense that is RHW

  12. The only thing I would pay, and it would be $5, to hear any of these boring woman talk about is when they are all going to disappear.

  13. Hey, don't hate on the talent show tours! You go see concerts even though you already own the cds, right? Music and dance are a whole 'nother thing live. Real Housewives, though? I'd rather sit around burning my money - it'd be more entertaining.

  14. Thanks, Enty!

My ATL girlfriends want me to go to this! :-/

I LOVE (almost) all the Real Housewives franchises but I really cannot fathom spending even $50 on tickets. It might make for an interesting Girls Night Out, but I don't like the pairings! My girlfriend asked the same question...WTF are they going to talk about???

If meeting Andy Cohen was an option I might change my mind...
