My (wonderful, sweet, and hilarious male) friend went to Vassar with her, and she was apparently a COMPLETE primadonna bitch the WHOLE time. So that's always colored my opinion of her, as well.

I thought it was good! I don't think it's easy to sit on a sofa in front of an audience and a camera and belt it out like that when you aren't a singer.

What is it about her that is so off-putting? For me, it was being commanded by the industry to believe that she was the greatest ingenue who ever lived, that she was the central star of her generation, that she was the greatest film star since Norma Desmond. It was like being told that Bridget Fonda was "redefining sexuality for the nineties" as the PR used to go, or that Chris O'Donnell was a major star. Or any of the third-rate kids that the industry periodically tries to force us to love. I just can't stand Hathaway, and her drugged up shyster boyfriend thing was about it for me.

Then I think of her being naked through most of Love and Other Drugs, and she definitely held her own in the Devil Wears Prada...anyway, lanasyogamama-she is actually a wonderful singer.
