Mr. Bean Walked Away From This

When you look at this photo you wonder how anyone even survived such an accident. Luckily, for Rowan Atkinson and for all his fans, his $1M car has some very good safety equipment and Rowan walked away from the accident with a bruised shoulder. Apparently Rowan lost control of the car which can reach speeds up to 230 mph. Rowan currently holds the Top Gear record for fastest lap in a reasonably priced car.

  3. I'm amazed he can afford a $1M car! I know he's more popular in the UK than the US, but, wow!

  6. As my hubby says, speed kills.

Although he usually says that when we watch our kids' sporting events and the other team, regardless of sport, seems to run circles around our's.

I blame the Blue Car, who cut him off.

  9. The car's a McLaren (like the racing cars), and it's P reg (1996), and I think he bought it then.

Those Mr Bean films were huge all round the world and made Rowan a rich man. I'm just surprised he's 56 years old!

Oh, and he broke his shoulder.

  15. Haven't seen that episode of Top Gear yet. And gotta agree with Mooshki, Top Gear (UK, NOT US) is THE absolute greatest thing on tv.

  17. Enty is confused by appearances. The doors on a McLaren are supposed to open like that. Atkinson just oversteered in a corner and slid into a sign. Those cars are built very strong. But he's gonna have one helluva repair bill.
